First time at this location in Wahiawa and loved the convenience of simply parking, ordering and you are on your way with a delicious meal. Huli Huli Chicken is the star of the show, slow roasted over mesquite. The chicken is marinated in some secret blend making it juicy and flavorful. I recommend getting the sauce to kick it up a notch with its salt and sweetness to pair with the chicken. Service was quick and order was chopped up and ready to go. Ray's Kiawe is always a must on every time I am back in the islands. Highly recommended for a distinct taste and flavor.

    Plate Lunch, FAKAMEAN no joke!

FAKAMEAN!!! Came here on my break with a hungry belly. This hit the spot big time! The pineapple cole slaw and sauce for the chicken was soooo ONO! Thank you aunty for answering my questions

    Ray's signage - can't miss it

An island favorite, broiled chicken by Ray's is a great place for local style chicken. Chicken grilled on kiawe (Hawaiian wood, similar to hickory, burns hot, imparts great flavor) slavor with a healthy dose of local style seasoning. Order the whole chicken plate - it will end up chopped up, just perfect for the family! In addition to the chicken, the seasoning is available for sale - highly recommended to get some. It will be a great addition to your collection of spices when grilling chicken as it's very flavorful and tasty. Open only on the weekends, Ray's is in the open gravel parking lot next to Malama Grocery. Check it out, it's a culinary experience, you will not be disappointed and purchase a few bags of the seasoning to take home.

    One whole huli huli chicken.

Super friendly folks selling moist delicious huli huli chicken. Stopped here on the way home from the North Shore. A whole chicken was $17 and my daughters say it was the best chicken they've had. The chicken was flavored well and every piece was moist. 10/10, would recommend. Check them out!

The best chicken in Hawaii! I always make a point to come back to this food truck and recommend it to all my friends and family. The prices are reasonable, and the chicken is packed with flavor. Their pineapple coleslaw is incredibly juicy and delicious! The chicken is perfectly seasoned, and adding a bit of their shoyu sauce to the rice is just chef's kiss! You'll need to text in your order, but the service is great. Always love supporting a local business!

Every time I get chicken it's always so quick and efficient. Ramona and Dino are always so friendly and work great when there is a line. You can also text your order and if you need it by a specific time, they will have it ready for you. I go here at least twice a week. Thankfully they have the Haleiwa location on weekends when I don't make it through the week

Portions of the chicken are a bit smaller since I lasted tried them a few years back in Haleiwa, but nonetheless it satisfied my huli huli chicken cravings on this recent trip. Half a chicken for $8.75.

    Whole chicken! So delicious

Wow! Possibly the best broiled chicken ever. Seriously. I think my wife planned our trip to Hawaii just to go here. So delicious. If you want flavorful, juicy, tasty chicken with crispy skin you have to come here. FOOD: Chicken. They serve other stuff like char siu but really you are here for the chicken. And they often sell out so come early. It is just so delicious I can't give it a good description. Rice and pineapple slaw were okay but who cares when you have chicken this good! SERVICE: Good but not great on friendliness. Definitely helpful. Portion sizes though were great COST: Well worth it. A whole chicken for $15! Plate lunch for $13 which is half a chicken plus sides. I would order a whole chicken and just make your own rice.

Their Full menu and Updated address at the Wahiawa location (Old Dots store). Given to me by the friendly Aunty today!

Best Huli huli type chicken and pineapple coleslaw ever! Goes well together and it is something I crave for from time to time, that I'd make the drive out here from town just to pick some up for myself and the family! Definitely a good food establishment to represent Hawaii. Don't think you could get chicken like this elsewhere. The service I received from Aunty, at this location today was nice, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

    Whole chicken cut!

Huli Huli Chicken right here in Wahiawa! How can you pass by the smell of this place and not be tempted to buy some of the chicken on your way home! After buying the plate lunch from the Haliewa location (opened on weekends only at Haliewa), I had to stop by the Wahiawa location for my weekday cravings. Bought a whole chicken cut up for dinner. Smell so good, it was difficult having it in the car with me and not want to grab a piece. Service was fast and hot, the chicken was cut up as I ordered. When I got home, opened the container, there was a lot of drippings you know already it's going to be juicy! Only wish the skin was a bit rendered, but the chicken pieces are tender and flavorful. Wahiawa super fortunate! Let's keep this place busy with service to keep them in operation!

    Whole chicken

Oh my gosh what a good decision it was to stop and grab a meal here. We ordered then walked over to the courtyard area by Matsumoto to listen to live music and enjoy our chicken. We ordered a full chicken with sides of coleslaw and rice. Starting with the sides. Rice is simple and I had zero complaints. I will say I'm not a huge coleslaw fan, but I could not get enough of this coleslaw. It had pineapple in it and it was so fresh and light. Now the chicken! I wish I could order chicken from here whenever I'm craving a rotisserie chicken. I think it was the best rotisserie chicken I've ever had. Juicy yet crispy and everything you'd want when it comes to flavor. I miss it and I will definitely go back when I'm in Oahu again.

Try to call in advance to place orders but we had zero wait time upon arrival
    Jennifer T.

Two locations so check their site to confirm which one they'll be at. Zero wait times at the Wahiawa location. Have tasted both fresh and takeout and it never disappoints. Two whole chickens, 4 scoops of rice, and large sauces is enough for a family of 5 costs $36. No tables so definitely a takeout spot.

This spot is located on the corner of Kilani Ave and Cane St. I personally didn't go in as my Husbabe was the one in the area so I asked if he could stop by. This review is solely in regards to the bento food, not the side dishes that offer. Husbabe stated nice friendly younger worker that was there and a few people in line. We decided to go with LOTS of sides and try out the bento since everyone been hyping the food out here. I got the meatjun bento, which came with chap jae, daikon rice and furikake. My Husbabe got the fishjun bento which also came with the same sides. Let's talk about the bento. My honest review because I had really high hopes, but let's be clear before I go on. We are going to go back and try again, maybe earlier in the day as it was in the afternoon already (12ish). Okay so, the meatjun was really mushy, I thought maybe just that one piece I had, literally couldn't taste the meat, everything seemed mushed together. I tried a 2nd piece and samething. I was really sad :(. I really wanted it to be good. The chap jae was good. The bentos are room temp laid out on a table and not under any sort of warmer, so literally a grab and go. My husband said the same about his fishjun :( . The sauce that came with the meatjun was extremely odd, tasted heavy of some sort of soy sauce. We got gyoza and that was okay, the sauce was the same sauce as the meatjun, so I just made my own sauce. Now let's get to the sides. SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOD! My husband got the load of variety (pictured below). We are definitely gonna go back to try the bentos again and I gotta say the sides are so worth it tho and that kimchee, chef's kiss...

The food came out in a timely manner and everything was very good. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. The spring rolls were crispy and tasty, my wontons were good and the broth and noodles hit the spot. The only issue I had was when paying the bill, this is a pet peeve of mine and doesn't reflect the food. I find it very disrespectful to charge your patrons a service charge to take credit cards, and 4 percent on top of it. If you're up in wahiawa stop by and enjoy the food but maybe bring cash.

They do have a sign in sheet but i didn't see them actually look at the list so keep an eye out if you find yourself having to wait outside for a table. The Tempura combo is still great, the Tempura fat and crispy but airy, meatjun was plentiful. Could even be enough to take home but I was very hungry. Bibimbap was a generous portion and had a offering of rice, green salad, bean sprouts, beef, and egg. Banchan was plentiful and you can always get refills. The Restaurant is a good size, there are maybe 10 booths but the ceiling was leaking so there were paper towels and buckets all over the floor, really couldn't help it bc the recent storms really did a number the last two weeks. Still, be careful as water was dripping on both the tables and seats. I did notice a bit of phone orders... like phone constantly ringing. The Owner still pleasant answering everyone and tending to us. Though we did have a great visit, we may do take out next time.
