We love huli-huli chicken so when we saw this spot on Yelp we knew we wanted to give it a try. The parking lot was pretty busy, they're off to the side of a grocery store and cars were coming in and out the whole time we were there. Definitely be careful coming in or backing out. It was a hot day when we stopped by and there was a short line. The team worked through orders pretty quickly as we all tried to find some shade. This is definitely a grab and go spot, and once we had our chicken we jumped back into the car to enjoy it. Don't forget to grab napkins. We've found huli-huli chicken is best enjoyed fresh, so we were dug in as soon as it was cool enough to enjoy without burning our mouths. We got a half chicken for $8.75 and also bought some spices to bring home to a friend. It was a solid spot.

If you travel to Hawaii, Huli Huli Chicken is one of foods that you have to try. It located in Haleiwa town. There's a open parking next to it. The staffs are all efficient and friendly. The ambiance is very simple. You can see the process of making the chicken. I ordered one whole chicken. The waiting time was around 15-20 mins. The chicken is fully marinated and tender. It's worth it to drive to North Shore to try this Huli Huli chicken.

Yumm! The best chicken I ever tried here in Hawaii. We will definitely be coming back!

My friends and I unintentionally went on a North Shore food crawl on our last day in Oahu and ended up at Ray's Kiawe Broiled Chicken. When I say this was the most MOIST JUICIEST FLAVORFUL CHICKEN EVER -- I mean it. We drove by and we noticed there were tons of ppl waiting in line -- that caught our interest. For a whooping $18, you get a full broiled chicken + the grandma special sauce which paired SO NICELY with the chicken. The chicken was tender + juicy + well flavored. We waited a bit for our chicken but it was worth it. There isn't seating to eat here but we walked across the street to where Island Vintage and Matsumoto Shaved Ice and ate there. I will def recommend this place to family and friends and be back soon :-)

Was able to catch them at this location since they only here Tuesday and Thursday and glad we did. This is imo the best Huli Huli chicken on da island. I've had at other locations and this one is the most flavorful and juicy chicken we've had here. Would definitely keep this place on list as must stop when visiting.

Menu prices - very reasonable

This chicken right here was booommmbbb! I was so delightfully surprised with how good it was. Perfect marinade- cooked just right with every single piece left juicy. I did not mind the vinegar sauce on the side too- I actually appreciated that it kinda cut the richness of the chicken. The drive and wait was worth it. Tip: call ahead and order over the phone :) You're welcome.

Absolutely delicious Hawaiian chicken lunch plate! In the lot next to Malama Market. Best deal on the island! Get there early. But, don't worry, the line keeps moving.

Got the plate lunch finally! I went before the huge lunch rush on Sunday and only waited about 5-10 minutes. It was a decent price, $15. Chicken was cooked well. Good coleslaw. I don't like the sauce, it was a little too vinegar forward for me, and nothing really needed it.

1/2 chicken. Looks bigger than it actually is

Service was short and quick. Too busy for chatting. The food come out fairly fast considering how fresh off the spike it is. The team there works efficiently so as soon as the chickens come off, it's in the box! This is a food stall in the middle of a parking lot, so everything is to go. No worries tho as there are many options for seating a walk away! This is 100% island vibes. It's meant to be eaten at the beach. The chicken is excellent. Not dry at all, and cooked perfectly. The portions are fairly small. I would say a 1/2 chicken is good for one person- a hungry person. These chickens aren't Costco chicken, they're fresh, chickens are naturally big! lol I recommend eating with the sauce they have- it's vinegary and soy sauce-esque. 100% a must try!

Love that huli huli chicken taste. Brings back memories of fundraisers and childhood. I'll just have to savor all I can of the less than 1.91 lb. $17 whole chicken (including 3 plastic bags).

This is the place!

Ray's is a sensory treat. You can enjoy it hundreds of yards before you even get there - by taking in that delicious scent wafting through the air. And then when you taste the chicken - wow! Absolutely outstanding! Bought some of the seasoning/rub to try this at home but I doubt it will be just as good.

Sometimes the simplest food in life is the best! When you are in Oahu, please make time for some great local foods. Just good old chicken and rice will always hit. The chicken was broiled right outside and you can see of fleet of them being rotisseried over charcoal. I don't even know if that's a word Lol. They seasoned the chicken really well and the chicken was super juicy and not dry at all. I should have spent extra dollars for their seasoning packet to take home. Aside from how delicious it was, the wait was so long though. Not sure if it's like that everyday or maybe the time I came, off season + weekend. I waited for an hour for my order... I respect these young adults grinding and putting up with the business, I think a few more hands would have made it more efficient. There were at least 40 orders before me and would have been helpful to have another person packing up the food to be honest.

The aroma alone is enough to make you pull your car over. They cook everything right in front of their spotless establishment, and the smell of the chicken roasting over the grill is absolutely irresistible. The Huli Huli chicken is outstanding--perfectly seasoned, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor in every bite. The macaroni salad is fresh and nicely chilled, making it the perfect complement to the hot chicken. The white rice is cooked just right, and everything comes together beautifully with their delicious pineapple teriyaki sauce. The portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality is top-notch. If you're visiting the area, it's just a few turns away from Kualoa Ranch, making it a perfect stop after a tour. Great food, friendly service, excellent value, and a true taste of Hawaii. Give this place a try--you won't be disappointed!

The guy behind the counter calling out the ready orders came across as unfriendly and impatient, which made the overall atmosphere feel unwelcoming. I ordered chicken and shrimp and as a client you would want both orders to arrive warm not cold yet this individual didn't care for it. As for the food, it was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't anything that stood out, especially considering the prices. In my opinion, the quality doesn't justify what you're paying. Overall, I think this is one of those places you visit once just to say you've been there and had the experience. I don't see myself coming back, as there are plenty of other places with better service, better value, and food that's just as good or better.

I was a little confused because we got the fajita burger and when the waitress poured the cheese sauce on the burger, it didn't sizzle, but the table behind us ordered the same thing and theirs sizzled so I was a little bit confused on that part. I feel like we didn't get the full experience of the fajita burger because of that. I know the waitress was trying her best that day, but I just kept having to ask for things twice because I would ask for something and she would leave and then come back and ask if everything was OK but not bring back what I asked for so it was a little bit frustrating. The mocktails was super good. I ordered one of each, there's 3 flavors, but for some reason, the waitress only brought out two, so I was able to only try two flavors. I didn't want to complain and ask for the third one because I just feel like I kept asking her for something every single time she walked by . The lavender one was OK. I liked it not really my style but very good for what it was and the mango I think was more of my style and I really enjoyed that I ordered another one after I drank it all. The fajita burger, even though it didn't sizzle, which was kind of disappointing. The flavor was so good. I'm definitely getting that again and hopefully it sizzles the next time I come. I love the flavor of the bacon the cheese sauce. The onion rings on top just so good. The pork belly was super good with the two dipping sauces. That was a winner. The juicy Lucy also super good. I love the fresh avocado inside. Overall, a great experience nice ambience parking can be a bit hard to find, but there is free valet and you just tip. I'll definitely come back again. It was good food and good vibes.

They could use some upgrades for their dine in. Reading other reviews, there was a lot of mixed reactions, so I was scared, but I gave em a chance trusting @onlyfoods808 review. On Yelp had some good reviews and bad reviews about the furikake chicken. At the counter, the girl was nice and patient. Wife wanted to order the stuffed cabbage but was out. So ended up ordering her furikake chicken and crisp Thai. I got the furikake chicken and garlic chicken combo. Got to cop one of their banana breads, and a large soda. Was thirsty. Good price. All in all came out to $40. They have this little snack area off to the side of the cashier where the banana bread was, but was pretty much empty. Drove home to nalo to eat. Couldn't wait. I must say, their garlic chicken was good. I liked the garlic chicken better than the furikake chicken. To me, the chicken was not dry. Was tender and the garlic chicken had a nice sweet flavor. All was good. Wife enjoyed her food too. The crisp Thai was almost like the garlic chicken mixed with sweet chili sauce to add a little spice to it. That was good too. Man for some reason the Pepsi was good too lol could've been that I was just thirsty but I'm so glad didn't taste dirty. U get some places where the soda get one funky taste, like dirty, like they neva clean the stuffs for a while or somethin lol I learned that from the wife lol ... sometimes, soda can taste dirty lol glad theirs wasn't.
