    The receipt!
    Hyn G.

These 2 ladies are cute ! But they don't understand and speak English well! Call them and order? Good Luck! They do know the words Kalbi ,Meat Jun, and combo. I asked them for a receipt and the couldn't provide me one. Than they overcharged me!! But refunded me back in cash. I ordered 2 Combo plate (chicken/kalbi) $23.95 2 Meat Jun $18 5 bottle water $2 Total $91.62 The meat Jun was tough! The chicken was dry! The rice was hard and dry! The kalbi was good! This is the 2 star rating! I don't mind paying the high price! But they could at least provide good quality food. Hope those food inspectors go out and check those food trucks out there!

Salty meat jeon, salty kalbi and salty garlic shrimp.

No! No! No! Please do not go to this place. Food is horribly salty, like... hello! Do you want to kill me with sodium overdose? There's two ladies working and the younger one needs to change her attitude. Another thing, please do not use the bathroom in this place, you will regret it and come out with no desire to eat anymore.

So glad I got my kabli fix! If you are craving for some bomb korean bbq ribs this is your go to!! Order the #7 and thank me later!!! Love to support a small business. The owner was sweet and really knew how to get down in the kitchen! Must try!!! Dont be fooled by the least reviews, we were skeptical but so glad we tried.

We were craving kalbi & so glad we stumbled on this place ! We ordered a plate of the kalbi which came with rice & a cabbage slaw. You could tell the meat came hot off the grill. The meat was tender and had good flavor. The Korean mom serving us was friendly & theres lots of outdoor seating. A solid place if you're in the mood for Korean !

    This is sooo good.

This place is so good. The Ajumma was so nice. Her truck is the last one on the back. The kalbi plate might looks pricey but for that much of meat. It is so worth it. She marinated it perfectly and the thickness was great. So you have soft meat and tasty fat on the edges. This place is a gem . I wish people would know that their Kalbi is amazing!!

    Shady, clean seating!

So good!!! Authentic Korean food on the NS! Two Korean ladies servin up yummy, home cooked meals. I ordered the spicy pork bugogi and it's a huge portion, enough for 2 comfortable meals. The side of kimchee was made by one of the ladies and it's fresh and good, not the super fermented kind. Shady picnic bench seating next to the truck. Definitely check them out if you're wanting some ono Korean cooking!

Scallion pancake served up super hot and delicious

To be honest, we ate here because all of the other places were swarming with people and this place was empty. We also had some hungry and cranky kids that needed to be fed! We ordered bulgogi, spicy pork, and the scallion pancake plates. The ladies that cook the food are Korean. The food was all really good and definitely hit the spot. My three year old couldn't stop talking about how yummy it was on the way back. There are plenty of tables in front of the truck and in the back. The tables in the back have plenty of shade and it's much cooler back there. Everything is clean, too. I'd definitely go back.

Super nice ladies serving super good Korean food. For some reason every time I'm up on the North Shore I always end up a Korean food truck. People are sleeping on the Korean food up in North Shore lol. I ordered kalbi like I normally do and it was really good. Plenty of flavor and grilled well. I wish they would do local style mac salad instead of cabbage but it's fine. This place wasn't busy because all the haole tourists were getting burgers and tacos from the other food trucks. If you're visiting, get outside your comfort zone and try some Korean food from here, it's really good!

    no.6 bbq chicken

quick service, polite, and great food. it was actually unreal how tender and flavorful this was. will be back.

My husband and I split the #7 ribs. The spice and flavor of the ribs was incredible. It was so full of flavor. But the meat was pretty fatty. The rice and slaw were excellent sides. This place wasn't as busy some of the other trucks, but the service and food was great.

the best short ribs i've ever had a 10/10 recommend. so flavorful and delicious, the yummiest korean bbq i've ever had

Best short ribs on the North Shore and always have to get a lemonade with it! Plenty of parking and nice shaded area to eat.

They give the same amount of rice. This time around, went on a Sunday in July; took over 45 min from ordering to getting the food. Difficult to get a seat. There's a sign that they didn't have the spice version available because they were short staff. However, they gave chili sauce. Finding a parking spot in the shared lot was quick; they still charge $2 to park.

Classic for a reason! The buttery sauce oozes at the bottom of the rice. I'm not complaining. Just stating. ~ Portion was solid, but after trying the other truck nearby (check my other review), it kept this at 4 stars instead of higher. Service/Ambiance (3.5 stars) ~ Long line but moves fast. The tricky part? Food pickup line is chaotic, and you have to listen carefully for your number. ~ Seating is all outdoors--no umbrellas on this side, so light rain caught us. Luckily, we snagged a spot nearby with covering. I'll be back, but next time, I'll be comparing it again. It's great to have both. Check out my review on the next shrimp truck for the full story!

After having Giovanni's before, I honestly enjoyed Jenny's more. The shrimp were plump, fresh, and cooked just right. The Garlic Shrimp had a rich buttery garlic flavor that wasn't overly greasy, while the Spicy Garlic Shrimp added a nice kick without overpowering the taste of the shrimp. Both plates came with plenty of sauce that paired perfectly with the rice. Service was friendly and the food came out relatively quickly. The portions were generous and filling, making it a great stop for lunch. The seating area is pretty basic and can get crowded during busy times. That said, the shrimp were delicious, and I'd choose Jenny's over Giovanni's if I'm craving garlic shrimp on the North Shore again.

I also have a positive review of them so I'm not bias. This is just better imho. I'm a week late on the review, but better late than never. Food (5 stars) + Extra shrimp upgrade for a few bucks? Huge portion, bigger shrimp, perfectly balanced flavors--not drowned in butter. Great presentation too! + Hot sauce with a sweet kick--absolutely complementary. + Kalbi plate was tender and delicious--sweet, savory, and bone-in goodness. This Korean-inspired truck has more to offer than its competitors, not only because the menu is bigger, but also because there is zero wait and the shrimp is just as good. The service was relatively quick, and the woman working the truck was very nice. We ordered the galbi shrimp plate, and the galbi was pretty spot on. It wasn't as tender as we would've liked, but the flavor was definitely there. The shrimp was on the spicier side, but again, the flavor really came through. It is a bit of a nuisance to have to peel your own shrimp, but they were soft enough that you could still eat them pretty easily if you didn't feel like it. Seating is also nice since Hono's has its own area away from Giovanni's.

Just good food, made with real hands and real care. I ordered the Mushroom Burger, and it honestly changed the game for me. The patty was juicy and seasoned just right, layered with sautéed mushrooms that added this deep, earthy flavor -- like comfort cooked slow. The melted cheese pulled everything together in perfect balance, and the toasted bun held its own without ever getting in the way. Every bite was messy in the best way -- the kind you have to close your eyes for and just feel. The vibe here? Pure aloha. You walk in and feel like you've been here before -- like this is where everyone goes when they just need a good meal and a moment to breathe. The staff are chill, friendly, and full of that easy local kindness that can't be faked. It's the kind of place where time slows down -- where you sit outside, taste the salt in the air, and let the flavors remind you how good life can be in its simplest form. Final Thoughts: Haleʻiwa Burgers isn't just about burgers -- it's about the feeling after the last bite. That quiet, content, "yeah, this is it" kind of happiness.
