Located inside the Willow Grove Mall. Top floor right outside of Bloomingdales. Saw a billboard for this place and wanted to come support a black, veteran owned business. When we came in we were greeted by a woman who was doing someone's hair and a gentleman who was washing someone's hair. He came over and offered us something to drink. The place is clean, bright and there are tv's everywhere. All on the same channel (basketball) except the one up front. Seats for waiting are right smack in the middle. He let us know that there was one person ahead of us. Not a big deal. Another gentleman came in who I assume is the owner and he greeted us, asked if we wanted anything to drink and then asked if we minded waiting. I said no. This isn't our first barber shop visit, I get it. Fast forward an hour and change...we're still waiting. At one point a few pizzas were delivered and the owner asked if we wanted any. Very nice of him but there were maybe 4 other staff members, do any of them know how to cut hair? Finally, my son is in the chair...10 mins later the owner came out and started cutting someone else's hair! It appears that guy may have had an appointment but we've been here for over an hour, you could have cut my sons hair twice instead of offering us pizza. Final verdict: the cut was decent. The wait was completely unnecessary and unreal...2.5 hours?! Not how I wanted to spend my Friday afternoon and my son was miserable waiting. Cost was $18 which is higher than we've paid at other barber shops. I'm not sure if we'll be back anytime soon. I really hope this business survives but if my experience is the norm, it's not likely. If we hadn't spent approx 3 hours there, I'd give this place 3.5-4 stars. read more

Would not recommend taking your children here unless they are much older and very used to getting haircuts. The owner has zero tolerance or patience for young kids who are still getting accustomed to the loud sound and buzzing and will not work with you to figure out how to best approach this issue. He was extremely unprofessional and made unsolicited and flat out rude comments about my 3 year old being afraid and basically implied that something was wrong with him because he's still learning how to sit still for cuts and learning that they don't hurt. Regret spending money here...for the amount of effort that he put into my son's cuts over the course of a handful visits, we barely have anything to show for it. If you have young kids who still aren't used to these cuts, GO ELSEWHERE! RESPONSE TO OWNER: You are absolutely exaggerating the extent of what occurred. My son actually told us that the barber was hurting him...maybe from the annoyance and frustration of having to use some skill to get a young and scared child to feel comfortable? We all know the clippers don't hurt so we took that with a grain of salt but to suggest that his airway was about to be obstructed is absolutely false. It may be inflammatory because it is uncomfortable to read but it certainly isn't false. This was not our first time with this group. We have been here probably about 4 or 5 times but it's only the past 2-3 times that we have had to deal with a barber making unnecessary and unprofessional comments. I stand by what is documented before: don't come to this business unless you already have a child who is used to getting haircuts and won't squirm from fear. Really nice place next to Bloomingdales top floor. My stylist was easy going and gave me a lot of information to make my hair healthier between visits. I had no clue as to the type of style I wanted and she talked me through it and we easily came up with something. I loved the outcome! I have natural thick hair and she deep conditioned and did a trim (didn't cut too much either) along with a blow out. It was so straight and soft and light!!! And no the heat did not do any damage she explained how to not damage natural hair and still have a cute blow out. The staff is really fun and engaging and I would highly RECOMMEND. Thank you! At first, I was excited to come in, especially because I really needed a haircut and I came to the mall hoping there would be some salon, and one that is open past 5 on a Sunday. I found Razor Reese's and decided to try them out. The lady who ended up cutting my hair was sitting in one of the waiting chairs with her purse, so I was unsure if they were still open or if they were closing soon, especially since it was the holiday season and the mall's shopping hours were extended. She told me she could still cut my hair, so after inquiring about the pricing, which wasn't straightforward and honestly a little confusing as to what the womens' cut vs the trim entailed. I wanted only an inch cut off and for my hair to be shampooed and styled, as is standard with a regular women's cut. If I remember the prices on the pamphlet correctly, a trim started at $20, a shampoo at $10 and a "women's cut" at $35. I was unsure whether the women's cut included the shampoo and style or if what I wanted, a trim would be rung up... anyways just super confusing and the lady working (Hana?) was seemingly also confused. I ended up agreeing to what she told me, and I was taken to the sink to get my hair shampooed. There, I was trying to be conversational and was asking if they are usually open later, or if it is extended with the mall's hours. She completely misunderstood without me realizing and was saying something about whether this salon was for black people, or something along the lines of her not staying open longer to cut a black person's hair??? I was super confused and didn't really hear the full extent of what she was saying because of the sound of the water. The owner then walks in and she mentioned something to him about me allegedly asking about their services with black people (her words!) which I did not!! I have honestly no clue where that came from, or if it was in her mind and she misunderstood me? When she first said black, I thought she was talking about black friday, in response to my question about the salon being open later, so I don't understand how she even misunderstood me when I asked about extended hours. Anyways fast forward, I got my hair cut and I could tell she was rushing through it. I noticed in the front, it was cut shorter than the back, more than the one-inch I asked to get cut off. Looking at it now, I can really tell that it's choppy and uneven, and I asked her specifically to make it blended and even, esp since I've had a bad haircut before and didn't want it to happen again. After she cut my hair, she blew dried it using like 3-5 uneven spritz of a heat spray for the entirety of my hair, and then was also rushing this and the back was still not dry by the time she was done. I was itching to get out and just dry it myself because I didn't want my hair to get damaged or messed up even more. I think this salon has a lot of potential, and I like the clean atmosphere, but the lady who cut my hair was not the best. I felt bad to offend her so I didn't complain in person, but I think if she was going to rush the job because it was after hours, she shouldn't have taken me on as a client to cut my hair.
