My old barber's quality was declining and I decided to give this place a try. When you walk in, it's clean and you're offered a beverage. I got the Diesel Plus w/ skin fade and got paired with Shatara. I was hesitant at first but she had great energy and did even better work. I would recommend Shatara for your next haircut. read more

Almost every time I go in there is new staff. Alex was the best. Then when she left Sara took great care of me. Now it's always someone new. This crap with having a card on file is stupid. If I didnt show up many times, sure but I've never missed an appointment. The scheduling is getting bad. Come in at my scheduled time and have to wait? The service is avg at best unless you can actually get into Julian or Diana. If I can't book with them I've been going to great clips. Long time customer but probably no longer. I just hate the fact that you have to put a card on file to book an appointment. I've had just way too many issues with that. No one likes to put a card on file on a site just waiting for a data breach. So I walk in. It's not even busy. A couple barbers are just sitting around on thier phones. I'm told "it's going to be a while", I replied ok how long and was told we have clients booked but they were just on thier phones. I asked to speak to a manager and he's one of them on his phone. I felt like I was completely ignored and found myself asking why I keep coming here. Wasn't offered anything to drink or anything. There has been a huge drop in service here over the last year and for the price I would expect better. My hair takes 20 mins to do. Simple low fade. I'm just going elsewhere. Went in for my normal monthly visit. Walked in and offered a beverage when checked in creating a relaxed environment. As for the haircut: Julian is still by far the best barber I've been to and I plan to keep coming back. Ummmm... this place definitely purchases fake reviews (especially if you take a look at Google). My poor husband decided to make an appointment with Destiny because she had the most mentions. I swear this lady probably cut his hair with a blindfold on. She butchered his hair! It's choppy, uneven, and taken a little too far up the top. I don't know what to say! Poor guy! The sole purpose of my review for this business is Maria. Maria is an employee that cares about the way her clients feel when they leave the shop. I've been to other shops before and had to explain my cut, but didn't walk out with what I wanted necessarily. She does a great job of listening to what her clients want and then executing that look PLUS more. Maria also goes the extra mile when it comes to the "fine tuning" of the haircut. She slows down and makes sure every aspect of the cut is what she wants it to look like and then delivers as always. The difference between what I explained to her and what I left with always turns out being more than what I was expecting. To sum all of this up, she genuinely cares about the look you want. I recently left a two star review due to not being able to bring my dog in or not being offered water while I stood outside. The owner then gave me a call personally to apologize and offer us a chance to have a better experience. I took my son back that day and never the less, our experience was phenomenal. The owner reached out to Cityline to make sure he was allowed to have dogs in so now they are a dog friendly place! Then after leaving my son wouldn't stop going on about how Diana was his favorite and how he wants to go back to see her. So I highly recommend this place. I have been using Diesel Barbershop since they opened. They are super convenient because I live at City Line. I made a reservation 3 days in advance. Was bummed because Priscila was not on the list, nor was any of the other back up folks I would use (None are there any more, as I found out upon my visit). My Appointment was for 9:10 am. She did not arrive till almost 10. I chose to just take next available. Haircut did not even start until 9:55am. Marco did a good job. Never once was there an apology nor any other considerations made towards the inconvenience I incurred. Then to top it off, as my hair cut was finishing up... The late arrival stylist came to my stylist and asked if she could barrow his trimmer, shears and fading shears. I guess I dodged a bullet by not ending up with the NON Prepared hair stylist I had made the appointment with. I guess I will be going back to The Boardroom to get my hair done from now on.
