I had wanted a perm & color but since my home-dye-job damaged my hair, they explained to me how that would damage my hair further. I was grateful for the consideration & learned more about hair care. And the salon was clean, tidy, & welcoming. [BTW, during another hair consultation with a Plano salon - which was loud & rude, they wouldn't explain to me why my request was not doable; the stylist pulled my hair & yelled in Chinese. All his translator would say is "not possible" which offended me because I kept asking why] At MiMi Salon, Roy is so patient & skilled with cutting, coloring, & styling. Roy is a magician with hair! He also speaks Cantonese. Annie was fantastic with helping me explain my desired vision. This is SPECIFICALLY what I wanted! I love how the Violet-blue melts into my black hair. I travel 40 minutes one way, just to have him cut my hair, and I'll continue to do so as long as he's a hairdresser. When I chose to let my hair grow from a pixie cut, he did a beautiful job to help me grow it out gracefully and cute at every stage (a nearly impossible feat). He has his own space at Mattison Avenue salons in Richardson, so it's a bit more of an intimate space, but I love it and all the beautiful plants he takes care of by a large glass window with lots of natural light. I love going to get my haircut there. I truly feel like I can relax and be at peace while I get pampered. I highly recommend him!
