Has two Yelp Accounts…read more I contacted Home Advisor via the web site homeadvisor.com I have just move into the area and I was in the market for multiple services for my new home. I received a call from Mark AKA MOSHE RIBOH the owners from a cell number (818)970-0795. On the phone he seems to be very professional and very accommodating. I explain to him that I want it to refinish my hardwood floors before I move in and in addition I was painting the house. I was very clear that this need it to be done in time for my move on July 31, 2014. The original call took place 4 weeks before the death line and we met 10 days before. Once in the house Mark seems to be an okay man, he is over 55 seems to live in the area and had great reviews on Home Ad visors web site. Once at the house he told me that the floors could not be sanded down and refinish, however he could buff the floors and apply a new coat of Polyurethane and I was going to be 97% happy with the work. He mentioned that same of the scratches were too deep and most likely they were going to still be visible but the floors will look great and once again I was going to be 97% happy. The process took less than a day, he had two Hispanic guys working on the job, his only crew I find out latter. In addition I find out that they are acting as sub-contractors but they have no insurance or license and Mark the owner carries no workers Comp insurance ( all after the fact) I immediately notice two things, 1- the floors where way to shining and the smell was very, very bad. I questioned him on the two issues and he said that the shinning will go away once the floors get to dry and the smell will dissipate also. Three days later the painters moved in, Mark the owner of Finest Flooring Inc., told my painters that they need it to use special tape otherwise the tape will damage the floors. The painter got the special tape as per Mark's instructions and proceeded to do his job (great paint job, I will be writing a great review on them) We immediately notice that the coating applied by Mark and his crew was peeling off, yes Pilling Off like you peal a banana. I immediately call Mark and told him to come over and take a look, he come over and said that he need it to bring Alex ( the guys on the workers crew) I told him they need it to finish it and he said ok we will be back once they are finish. I said the crew will be finish by Thursday you need to get here right away I have movers coming on Friday. Thursday they didn't showed up, I call him and he Mark (his real name is MOSHE RIBOH) Said we are delay we be there at 7 pm. Long story short never showed up on Thursday, they were supposed to come in on Friday at 6.30am. 6.30 am come and went, they arrived at 7.30am, at that time I told them to remove this material from my floors, they started sanding the floors and that making big marks bellow the actual top wood coat and into the sub flooring. I immediately stopped them and asked for my money back. The end of the report is: My floors are ruined, they need to be replaced, at a cost of $15,000.00, Mark AKA MOSHE RIBOH is unresponsive, I have filed with the California State License Board and I am awaiting their response. Eric was always on time, never had an excuse that he could not do this. I picked out all the ceramic tile for the shower walls, shower floor and main bath floor from samples that Eric provided. I am more than please with Eric for the excellent job of installation he did in my bathroom. All my neighbors agree! Last one of the things that is very important to me is cleanup. He was on time, friendly, prepared, and explained what they were going to do. The job included replacing a few rotted sub-floor planks, in addition the linoleum install. He picked up the linoleum from where it was purchased in order to avoid it getting damaged. He sent me numerous photos throughout the installation because I couldn't be onsite the entire time. He left the job site very clean, and also covered the floor with heavy paper to protect it from any damage while I complete the rest of the bathroom work. They were done within 6 1/2 hrs from their initial arrival. The price I was quoted didn't change. There was no sudden or unexpected issues or up charges. He was straightforward and honest.
