I needed to have a large tree and its stump removed from my backyard. Ricardo and Crew came on March 13, 2026, cut down the tree and cleaned up so well there was only a handful of sawdust left. They used a few pieces of large equipment that allowed them to quickly grind up branches and load the tree trunk into a dumper to carry away. As the job was apparently wrapping up, I paid for the service in full. I expected the stump grinder to replace the large dumper and crane on my street. At this point I learned the stump grinder was in Suffolk County and would arrive in the next day(s?) to finish the job completely, as was agreed and stated on the invoice. As of today, April 15, 2026, no stump grinding whatsoever has happened here. I have been in touch with Ricardo by telephone and text, he's sent me a picture of the stump grinder that needed repair. I could hire another company to get the stump removed... BUT WAIT... I already paid RB Tree Service to do that. read more

RB was hired by my neighbor to trim my trees. The birch trees were hanging on my neighbors roof and he had the right to trim these trees to his property line. Without our neighbor or RB informing us, until after the fact, the trees were very heavily trimmed well over my property line. This act destroyed the privacy and aesthetic I worked years to achieve. Lionel, the owner of RB seemed uninformed that this act was unlawful. He was however a gentleman and listened to my explanation and apologized. However the damage to my beautiful trees is done, a habitat for local birds was unnecessarily destroyed. I learned a valuable lesson about my neighbor. Please understand what you are undertaking before you cut trees. read more

When needing to hire contractors for a project, I'm always apprehensive. No one wants to be overcharged or have shoddy work done or taken advantage of. You want to know that the contractor isn't going to charm you into booking them and then drop off a crew of people and you never see your point of contact again! I didn't have to worry with RB Tree Service. I requested an estimate from RB Tree Service through Angie's List. I received a prompt phone call and estimate from Leonel. Right off the bat, he showed he really knew his trees; he even pointed out a tree that was infected by insects and knew exactly what it was, and pointed out how far the roots of a tree extended, which interfered with everything I was trying to do in the yard. Being a tree-lover, this made me confident that I had the right company for the job. The estimate wasn't the lowest of the ones I'd gotten, but the value and peace of mind far exceeded the cost! True to his word, he was on the job and kept checking with me every time they moved to another area. The crew was perfect; they even cut some of the trees into logs for my firepit! The biggest surprise was how the yard was completely cleared of everything before they left! It looked my landscaper was just there (except for the area where the trees were cut down and grinded, of course). I had 5 trees removed, and the entire front, side, and back trimmed, including several large branches hanging into my yard from my neighbor's house. I've already recommended RB Tree Service to a few of my neighbors, and will absolutely call them again to keep my yard looking beautiful. Good luck with YOUR project! read more

Ricardo and the guys were amazing! They showed up on time and trimmed my very tall leyland cypresses, ground a tree stump and trimmed all the high bushes on the side of my house. They left my yard immaculate and the price was very fair. I highly recommend them and will use them again whenever I need tree work. read more
