After my mom and sister, even my dad started coming to her. After a while she was doing a lot of my family members. She always did a great job! Her prices are good too. Machelle was the stylist who cut and styled my hair before a wedding event. She normally did not come in on Sundays, but went out of her way to accommodate me. She did a fabulous job, adding lots of short layers to my long hair. It's NIGHTMARE trying scheduled an appointment here. They never answer the phone! Machelle was my stylist & I told her that I wanted my hair like the pic on the left side. My hair was long & I wanted medium length haircut all around like the picture and ended up with a SUPER SHORT BOB! It was difficult getting a hold of her--I called and left a message, then called her and the salon a few times over the next week without receiving response. Eventually, Kortny got back to me about a week later and I scheduled an appointment with her. I was initially happy with my hair, but after I washed it, I noticed my layers were choppy and uneven and I didn't notice this before because my hair had been styled. I'm giving 3 stars because she was kind and I felt like the conditioning made my hair a lot softer. Machelle was my stylist. She scheduled me only a day in advance and was nice and courteous. I got to the appointment a little late but no complaints from Machelle. We talked about what I wanted and she worked on cutting and making my hair as healthy as possible before she conditioned. The shampoo was nice and long and she massaged my head as she went. She gave me layers and trimmed all my split ends and my crazy bangs. I love how it came out! I would recommend Machelle if you're going to go to this salon. She did a great job! Morene has been innundated with appointments and decided to allow herself off for the entire month of April, which I cannot be too mad at. But she is honoring expired coupons up to 30 days. I saw this massage deal on LivingSocial and since it has such good ratings, I wanted to try it out. The staff is really friendly. Only problem is that it seems like they get bombarded with GroupOn and LivingSocial deals, that they don't seem happy with it (not sure why they keep these deals up). I had Morene for my massage and she wasn't enthusiastic about the LivingSocial deal. Kind of made me feel awkward. Second issue was scheduling. I made an appointment for a 90 minute massage, but they booked it wrong and I only got a 60 minute massage, but Morene credited me for 30 minutes for my next appointment. Anyways as for the message, it was not a massage that I would come back for. Most of the time, she used a roller on my back and used the cupping method. Ask for Morene, spelling. Location? LS coupon, 80 minute combo...was able to call and book easily, was told by the male on phone that I wax confirmed for next week with Morene. The day before my appointment, Morene herself called and confirmed... Today when I arrived, I almost thought I had the wrong directions as they are located in an industrial complex behind the Valero gas station. That being said, the shop was clean, busy and well-run apparently by a husband and wife team. I arrived early for my appointment and filled out the intake form, and we started promptly at 11:30. Morene Sy is a consummate professional, I had choice of Swedish or Deep Tissue, but I just told her to do what she feels. That was the best route IMO, as she read me like a book. She used Swedish, DT, Shiatsu techniques as well as Thai stretches, acupressure point tensions, reflexology, hot stones and cupping! No one I know does cupping, and she did it seamlessly in a 60 minute session. I rarely dole out 5 stars on the first visit, but it was all there! I am definitely coming back and it'll be 90 minutes next time. I had a nice with the owners and they graciously donated some charms which I have begun passing out on my various geocache finds, (ESP the micro-small containers). If you are looking for a massage unlike you have ever had, book with Morene. She is more inexpensive than all the surrounding massage therapists, and makes them all look like toddlers. I went to her like I go to everyone...not expecting much more than temporary soothing. But Morene heard me, and worked with me as my own person. She tailored treatment to ME, and I swear to you, it was the first time in over 15 years that my pain disappeared. She does a form of Hmong healing if needed on you--cupping, with the fire and everything. She is constantly modifying her treatment based in the person she is treating. Better than any doctor. I found RC Spa through Groupon, like many people. I purchased the haircut and partial highlights. Since I have virgin hair, I was very nervous about doing anything like that to my hair. I had Michelle as my operator. She was absolutely fabulous. Michelle was willing to be as conservative or dramatic with my highlights as I felt comfortable with, and she did a great job cutting my hair as well. Not to mention the haircut was so quick! She also is very sweet and personable, talking with me throughout the whole process. She even offered to let me come back for more highlight pieces if I realized later I could handle more. The facility is also pretty and very relaxing. Robin, the other operator, is a sweet lady as well. All in all, I think you can't really go wrong with whoever you get from this place. read more

Found Morene through Groupon for a 90 minute massage. I absolutely loved the massage!!! She worked on my entire body but concentrated on the areas that really required a great massage. She did the cupping method and it was absolutely great! I've had a "sobadora" use the cupping method before but when the sobadora did it, it was very painful. She would put the cup on my back and abruptly pull on it, which essentially pulled my skin & muscle. Morene used the cupping method; however, she slowly glided the cup throughout my back without abruptly releasing my skin. My back was extremely tight when I went to see her but after she was through with me I could feel my entire body relaxed. I was left feeling like a complete noodle :) I was so satisfied with her massage that I booked my husband's appointment for the following week and also an appointment for myself in 2 weeks! Love their masseuse, hate their manicurist. I've had probably about 5 massages here. Though the last time I went she said she was leaving. My nails however were a huge hassle. I had gotten a groupon for a mani pedi and it had no expiration date so I called her to confirm when it expires and she said it was fine and I could come in. Then I go in and she said I've already used it and I looked at the time marked for when it was redeemed and it was the exact day and time I had asked her to check. She grudgingly still gave me a mani pedi but complained the entire time. I thought she did a decent job. However her products may be old because the nail polish didn't even last 24 hours before it started chipping and I don't even work with my hands to make it chip. My at home polish lasts much longer. Found Kortny through Groupon and I have never left a salon feeling so satisfied with my hair. I got an ombre package (ombre coloring, style, cut, and condition) and my hair came out perfect, I absolutely love it. I have been to so many other salons and due to my dark colored hair I have been told numerous times it wouldn't be worth it until my hair lightened. When I showed Kortny what I wanted to do she did absolutely everything she could to lighten my dark hair as much as she could and it came out amazing. I will definitely be coming back to further lighten and get my hair styled. It's also decorated sooo cute inside and the atmosphere is very fun and friendly.
