Scheduled a junk car pickup through Pick N Pull with the bill of sales as pictured. An RC Towing driver showed up and said because it's not the specific form (blank one pictured) he won't take it. He then proceeded to argue in my front yard with my neighbors watching. I called Pick N Pull again and they said there was no reason the driver should have denied that pickup. That they pickup cars with bill of sale on napkins LOL. What a horrible lazy company. read more

Reckless drivers. One of RC's truck was attempting to merge into my lane and despite knowing that there was no room (there was already a car ahead of him that I let in) proceeded to gun it so I had to slam on my brakes to make sure my car didn't get scratched. There was plenty of room behind me for him to merge but it just seemed like the driver was being aggressive to start something. RC needs to train the drivers better or just hire more professional people. read more

I was driving down PFE road this morning about 9:15am. An RC Towing truck with 2 cars (they had obviously been in accidents as they had major damage), failed to stop at the PFE and Antelope Rd intersection and pulled in front of me. As we drove down PFE the truck went over a bump and the broken windshield or windows of one of the vehicles sprayed glass all over the road behind the truck and onto my car. The glass was all over the road and I had to try to evade it. I don't know who the driver was but I'm sure he knows that cars in that condition are supposed to be covered or tarped. This location has a service level agreement with Nissan of Sacramento to provide roadside assistance for disabled vehicles. Well, I got a text saying that your tow truck would be at my location in 90 minutes. I understand, things take time. Traffic at 5pm on a Thursday can be horrific. 90 minutes went by. I called your listed phone number. I listened to your bloody inane message. I pushed the button to be transferred to dispatch. It rang unanswered. Finally, Nissan of Sacramento then tells me that you cancelled the service call. I was sitting without shade and air conditioning in 100 degree F (38 C) weather. My skin had turned the colour of a steamed lobster. Another towing company had to be dispatched. It was nearly 9pm before I made it home. And you blokes obviously didn't give a toss about any of this because you never called back. Having read the reviews here on Yelp, I seem to be detecting a pattern of deprioritizing Roadside Assistance calls. Towing for insurance companies and the City of Sacramento is probably more lucrative, but come now... Be decent about it and don't strand people for hours in the heat without so much as the courtesy of a phone call. read more

RC Towing left me stranded in 90 degree weather for an hour and a half. They didn't have the decency to call and let me know they would not be coming to pick up my vehicle. I called the business several times from my phone number of record (for service) the company ignored my calls, and sent to voicemail. Luckily I had another phone from a local business to use. When I got through to the gentleman working the phones, he said that they "don't have time to call the customers to let them know that they won't be picking up the vehicle." It's hard to believe that Acura would use this company to pick up its customers. Zero decency, and zero concern for the customer. read more

I was in a bad accident in my brand new vehicle that I had for almost 5 days, RC towing had to tow my vehicle to their yard due to it being non drivable. Unfortunately for me the transaction wasn't completed and dmv paperwork needed to be filed once we were all squared away, and all of the paperwork that I had was smashed in the glove box, so the manager said he couldn't release anything to me. Luckily I had gotten almost everything except for my daughters ashes that were hanging from the rear view mirror. I told the manager that that was all I wanted and he told me no and that I needed to go to dmv to get the title, I explained that all of the paperwork was in the glove box for the third time and he still said nope. I don't care who you are, I would've lost my job over a situation like this. These are my daughters ashes, not her school pictures. He had no compassion at all and very bad customer service. Hopefully, he doesn't ever have to worry about losing his child's ashes and them being thrown in the trash because someone lacked compassion. You truly should think about life today and the people that you hold dear and remember not everyone gets to see their children grow up. Called many Towing Companies and they didn't have the right type of Tow Trucks or couldn't do it since i have a 2003 F450. Which most companies said that it was too heavy...So I finally found RC Towing gave them a called and a guy named Garcia was able to come and gave me a tow. Cool guy! He hooked my Truck up and was able to drop it off in my driveway. A week went by and my mechanic friend wasn't able to diagnoses so I need to get it tow to a shop. I tried and called other Towing Companies but none was able to come...so I called RC Towing again...and I was told that ETA will be here in an hr... waited and they came a little early hooked my Truck up and off we go to the Diesel Shop....I had great experience ...no headache.I highly recommend this company if ever you need a tow. . read more

Efficient and the driver knew what he was doing. For various reasons, I needed two different companies to bring my disabled vehicle to the shop. The first company's driver took an hour to load my vehicle; it took RC Towing FIFTEEN minutes. The driver listened to me when I told him (roughly) what was wrong with my vehicle, and he was able to work out a way to roll it in neutral -- which the other company never did (they seriously dragged my car up the ramp). read more

I needed my car towed, not an emergency, set the time for the next morning through my insurance company roadside service and they contracted with RC Towing. RC Towing calls 45 minutes earlier than my scheduled time saying they will be there in a few minutes. I told them my time was between 9-9:30 and I wasn't home until then. They then cancelled saying I could not pick a time for them to be at a location. So much for customer service. Good motto you might think RC Towing, WE are the customer that pays. When they were not there on time I decided to call them, but no answer. After they were late by and Hour and Twenty Minutes I decided to give them a call, and then a call again, and still no answer. I called my roadside assistance provider to find out what was happening and they didn't know so they put me on hold while they called. RC Towing answered them and told them they decided to cancel, even though they had not let me or my provider know, and they just left me there waiting on the side of the road for hours, and all for nothing. My car was involved in an accident. My insurance company contacted RC Towing to tow my car to a shop. They had almost 2 1/2 hrs to get to a shop 90 minutes away. They got to the shop after they closed. Or so they said to Roadside assistance. Instead of dropping the car, like I told the driver, he drove it back to their shop and parked it on their lot. Then, the shop called me to locate my car the next morning. I had to call my insurance company to have them track down my car. It is beyond frustrating. After everything was said and done, they held on to my car for 26 hours before dropping the car off at the shop. When we spoke with them on the phone, they claimed this Google review was what was causing them not delivering my car at the shop. They lied all day to my insurance company. They told my insurance company they were pulled over by the police because of a Google review and an ongoing investigation. They told us that the car would leave the shop by around 10am. But, told the insurance and the Roadside people that they were being investigated all day based off of a review. And then, got pulled over at 2pm by an officer due to them stealing cars. The car was never reported stolen. So, cops shouldn't be pulling them over due to my post. They made no sense to an insurance company or to a customer who called them out on their fraud. On the phone we were told that their vehicles were more valuable and cost more than our vehicle. Not the point. We pay for our car payment. Not their truck payments. By law, the car should not have been taken to their yard. And them refusing to tow the car is Grand Theft. If they couldn't do the job in a timely manner, they should have never accepted the call. Filing a police report for theft of a vehicle is what I should have done with this company in the first place. They should never threaten a customer or manipulate a situation to get what they want out of it. Grand Theft Auto at its finest. read more

This towing company ran my car into a light post. The damages are $817.00. They are refusing to pay to get my car repaired. He (tow truck man) had unhooked the car in the middle of the road behind Pep Boys, blocking the bay doors. The tow truck man had asked my friends to help him push the car into a parking spot to get it out of the road, and from blocking the bay doors. He (tow truck man) was pushing the car into a parking spot he ran it into a light pool. Causing $817.00 worth of damage to my car. The owner won't pay he said that the tow was over when he unhooked my car. If that is the case then why did he ask for them to help him push the car into a spot. Not a nice company. Subaru Corporate sent RC Towing to us after a flat tire prompted a Roadside Assistance call. The truck got there earlier than expected, the driver was very friendly, polite and careful with our car, and got it to the dealership in short order. The tow truck was nice and clean too; a mark of a company that cares about it's image and name. As a retired automotive technician, I've dealt with quite a few tow companies and drivers. I'd put RC at the top of the list in terms of my own experiences. The only thing I can't speak to is prices since Subaru took care of everything there. If I could give negative stars I would. Completely ripped off by RC Towing. They were called by my ins. carrier to tow my car, they told me AFTER car was mid tow that I'd have a overage cost of 70.00! The receipt didn't indicate anything specific just 70.00 for mileage. I immediately filed a complaint with my insurance company. Today (3/17) I received a call and was told that RC Towing completely violated their agreement and charged me fees they shouldn't have. If anything I should have been charged 2.00 per extra mile after the first FREE 5 miles. My total tow was just over 7 miles. RIP OFF! THEY ARE A TOTAL FRAUD. I hope they lose their business with my insurance MetLife as they are escalating the issue. MetLife will now have to reimburse me for RC Towing's fraudulent charges and take the issue up with them directly! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! *THIEVES* read more

What to even say about this company. If I could leave negative stars I would. Who ever answered the phone clearly was nothing short of an a-hole. My insurance company sent me a text eta with their roadside info. They (my insurance company) even called before arrival when the truck was dispatched and at the eta when it should have been here. The guy said I text responded and cancelled. That's not even an option. It's a no reply eta text message sent from my ins. company, not even their company. Called them personally and called that jerk out on the fact that it was impossible he said he had already sent all the drivers home. I told him he cancelled it because he just didn't feel like driving and he didn't even deny it. Screw them. RC Towing was sent out to pick up my '99 Expedition. I was going to have it taken to a local Ford dealership for service, as the engine would not turn over, even though the battery was fine. As I was having it towed from home, I didn't pay too much attention to the amount of time from when I called my insurance company to when the truck arrived, but I'm sure it was reasonably close to the 45 minute estimate given. The driver, Nick, asked what the problem was and asked if he could take a look. While tinkering with it, he mentioned that he has a 98 Expedition. After trying a couple of things, I asked if I could get him something to drink. When I came back, he had it running! At Pep Boys, they were nice enough to remind me that my car was probably still under warranty with Hyundai, which would save me a lot of money. I decided to tow my car again because of this. I stated that I was still waiting on the tow truck. Apparently, RC cancelled my order without a reason and didn't have the decency to let me know. Totally wasted my time. After being rear ended on the freeway, waiting an hour and a half for CHP, and an hour for RC Towing (Jeremy) to show up, he was very rude and said it was policy to take cars to their lot and deliver them to the body shop the next day. (Policy totally understandable as no one wants their car left outside); however we had someone waiting at the body shop so he could put it inside the shop. Jeremy was very rude and said he didn't want to drive (to the shop we wanted) and although I can understand we all have bad days and job stress, getting into an accident and waiting forever for the CHP and the tow truck did not leave us with a very good experience. Although they were called by our insurance company, I wouldn't feel comfortable using them again. (The dispatcher was nice, and he said their was a miss communication so it did take the driver longer than it should have). read more
