When I was there I felt very uncomfortable! When I went to pick my dog up from this place I had realize that they didn't asked me for proof of rabies vaccination. I've been using this shop for several months now, and if you're looking for a groomer in the AV I highly recommend these folks. I have a Maltipoo and a Boxer, and they do a fabulous job on both. Not only do they look and smell great, but the service includes brushing their teeth, expressing the anal glands, and nails if needed. They're fast, thorough, and very reasonably priced. I take my dog there and when I'm coming back to pick them up there is another dog there, the owner of the dog picks the dog up and hair falls off the dog. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could, please read this whole review as I know it is going to get lengthy outlining how above and beyond they went for me and a little neglected street dog. First off, I'm new to the AV and I've got a number of baby's-all have fur and 3 of them need grooming once in awhile and I'm VERY particular who they go to as I've had some not so great experiences as you can see if you read some of my other pet groomer reviews. One place couldn't take my dogs for 2 weeks which I can't fault them for, it is what it is and I made an appointment, then during a garage sale we were having, a well manicured lady in a luxury car raved to me about this place and I called, they were able to take all 3 of my dogs same day, so I canceled the other appt and piled my dogs into the car and took them over to RCD. It took most of the day but I got them back and they all looked adorable, more importantly to me, they were all calm and happy even my little "hellion" as the shelter called him before my adopting him, he's got major fear issues and will bite, I warned them before taking him and even offered to give him a mild sedative, they felt confident he'd be ok and he was, for the most part. I would have given them a good review for that experience but for the next one, it almost brings a tear to my eye how much they care and how this is more than a business to them, they have a love for dogs which is essential in a really good groomer, ok, here goes. I got a 911 call from a rescue I'd worked with in my old Northridge area to pick up a dog from a good samaritan. This dog would almost bring me to tears seeing the condition she was in, her matts were so bad that her collar had to be cut off of her, she walked with her rear down because her fur had become attached to the back of her legs, she had fox tails and pointy twigs embedded in her skin and the smell was awful. I knew she'd need a vet, but for them to see what they were doing she needed to be shaved first, I explained the situation to RCD and they said bring her in. During the next few hours they proceeded to send me pictures throughout the long process where they shaved her fur which came off like a blanket to reveal an abscess (which turned out to be the source of the stench) and holes in her skin from the twigs and foxtails. The details and commentary on her condition throughout the groom were above and beyond any job and when I got her to the vet, everyone that heard her story and saw her "before" pics were amazed that not only did they carefully take care of her in her fragile condition, they even managed to retain some fluff in her tail and ears (she's a lhasa apso mix turns out) to make her look absolutely adorable, stunning job done with compassion and I couldn't recommend this place higher, they will certainly always be my own dog's groomer and any fosters along the way. BTW, the dog turned out to be a puppy and is now doing great, I'm fostering her through her recovery, she had to be sedated to have 4 foxtails removed from fairly deep in her ears and treated her numerous wounds from other embedded particles throughout her chest area, she is resilient and a pretty happy little dog, she'll be just fine. read more

I was nervous about bringing my 5 month old shih tzu for her first grooming. She is tri-color with black tips and I didn't want her beautiful color chopped off. The ladies there were so sweet Zooey and I. Zooey was nervous at first but settled in quickly. They only trimmed her where she needed it. I have always had boxers so they were very helpful with the shih tzu breed and told me what to do with the top-knot as well as with her hair. Will definitely be bringing her back! read more

Took my dog in today for the first time. Was quoted 40 dollars for my little dog and got charged 88. Reason being is because he bit them 3 times. Wasn't mentioned to me if anything of that nature happened I would get charged double. My dog is not vicious but assume that comes with the territory when a dog doesn't know you plus you have to gain the dogs trust! A notice of what to expect would of been nice, if not so I could of taken my dog else where. read more

Just took my two dogs to RDC to get groomed. They did a great job. Both of my stink ball dogs looked and smelled great. They were even able to get rid of my dogs terrible breath. RDC is very affordable and very fast. My dogs were only there for about an hour and a half. My only problem with RDC is how difficult it was to find them. They do not have good signage telling were they are located. I had to call and ask exactly where they were because I had been driving around looking for about 15 minutes. Overall RDC did a great job. read more

I was very glad to find this groomer since I've got a cat and many people who groom will only do dogs. At any rate they did a great job on my cat who had a lot of matted hair and she came out smelling good in the bargain. They also did the job for only $75.00 for at least two hours of work which is a great price. I took my medium sized husky, Boston, here just today. She's 8 months old and it was her first time being groomed so any pet owner knows that this can be a nerve wracking experience. I checked the Yelp reviews and decided to give them a call. The lady was very friendly and told me I could come in at 12pm which was only an hour after I called, I was very impressed with this to start. When I took her in they told me about 2 to 3 hours because huskies have very thick coats, 3 if she didn't like the blower(so I anticipated 3 because she doesn't even like a small hand held blower dryer). At about 2 and a half hours they called and said I could pick her up. I was also impressed because the lady said she let Boston sit in her lap while she blew her out. Boston smelt very pretty, had a cute bandana, had her teeth cleaned, and seemed very happy. All of this only cost me 35$ plus tip. For anyone that owns a husky, they know how much of a pain their coat can be, and it was her first time getting groomed therefore I believe she wasn't easy I'm sure. I think 35$ was very fair and it was a very good experience. read more

so, being new to the antelope valley I searched for a pet grooming salon and this place popped up. It had good reviews and I liked the pictures of the cuts and styles of the dogs. I called them up and asked questions about grooming my pet. First thought was the person I spoke with sounded very unsure and all over the place with the questions I asked. Also there are two yelp locations and the main one says the city of Lancaster, Ca. they are located in Quartz Hill, Ca. So, I took my dog in and my reaction and thought was "umm, this is the place?" I stood there and the girl that was in was cutting a dog and said the girl you have to speak with just left to the store. So I waited and it was very unfriendly and awkward. The girl who must be 19 and 6 months pregnant, comes back and looks at my dog and tells me how much it would cost ($50), took my info and said it shouldn't be long. Two and a half hours later at 12p.m. I call and ask about my dog, the girl says there was a one dog ahead of mine so it would be another hour or so. When I first showed up there were 2 dogs there so I didn't understand what was taking so long. The girl then texts me 9 minutes later after i called and says that my dog was almost done and that they close at 1p.m. LOL So, i called back and explained that when i came in you told me that is wouldn't take very long and now it is 2 1/2 hours later, you tell me that my dog would be another hour or so then text me 9 minutes later to tell me my dog would be done by 12:30 and that you close at 1p.m....( so now I have to rush over there and get my dog) the girl immediately got an attitude and didn't really want to explain to me what was going on. So, in fear of my pet I quickly went to pick her up. When I showed up a woman was standing there (I assume it was her mother) and left when I went in. as soon as I walked in no a word was told to me other than she is $50, the other girl got my dog and my dog was terrified, and still very nasty attitudes like teenagers when they don't get their way or hear something they don't like Hahahahahaaaa. I Tried to get out of there as fast as I could before I exploded. When I got my dog in the car she was shaking with fear, her fur was cut so un-even, she was still dirty like all they did was put the dry shampoo on her and I paid $50 for the torture of my pet. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE......... DO NOT TAKE YOU PET TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!! This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL and HORRIBLE place you could ever take your pet. I just love you guys. Raissa is going back next week for her cut and she's always very happy to see you. I'm very particular about where I will take my dog, after all she is my baby. The first time I went in there I thought it was strange. The walls are green and there are no cages around, not your typical groomer. The mother and the daughter were doing the grooming and answering phones so it was a little chaotic but they seemed to have it under control. I never like leaving Raissa any where especially somewhere new where I don't know the people, so I'm always watching to see how they act with her. Some groomers and vets don't even address your dog as they are trying to drag them away from you. This groomer was not like that. We walked in and the daughter immediately came over to show her affection and was letting her lick her face. Raissa took an instant liking to her. It was almost 3 o clock when I dropped her off and by 4 they called me to say she was done. She was clearly the last dog of the day as they were cleaning up and there were no other dogs there when I arrived. When I walked in I was surprised to see she wasn't tied up on the stand where they groom the dogs, a second later she came walking out of the other room by herself. Since there were no other dogs they were just letting her roam around and get comfortable with the place while they were cleaning. That's not something normal places allow. Some people might not have liked this but I was all for it. If my dog is not happy when I pick her up from somewhere I will lose my cool. She is a very happy dog, if she is not bouncing around it's because something happened that shouldn't have and now a days you can't be too careful with your pets, children and elderly. When I got to the register to pay it was only 50$. She had been washed, shaved, nails cut and had tiny pink bows in her hair above both ears (they only last about 30 minutes though lol). Raissa is between 50 and 60 pounds so most places charge much more for what they did and they were wonderful to her. She is excited in the parking lot every time we get there. We have been using these ladies for years!!! Our hyper mini schnauzer was always freaked to go get groomed but when we took him here he loved the girls and always looked wonderful when we picked him up. Last December Willy started with congestive heart failure and even though he needed a haircut we knew we could not take him in to the ladies because he would get too excited to spend time with them. Our Maltese, then was still a puppy, needed a haircut badly. She had a few mats. The manager or owner we talked to was informative about puppies, mats and haircuts. Reasonable price. We saw that there's a check-in offer, so we went. We told them not to cut her eyelash because it looked really nice on her, but they cut it anyway. Maybe because it was needed, forgot about the instruction given by a customer or was an accident, who knows? I didn't ask anymore. There was good parking. read more

If you don't care about the cut or have a short haired dog that doesn't need a cut then this place is fine. If you want a thorough, even cut then this is def not your place. read more

I mistakenly went to this place because I went off the other yelp reviews and because I wanted to support small businesses in my local area. My two dogs and cat were taken there three times and I was disappointed twice. The first time I won't comment in because my brother took them in and I didn't say what they needed. The second time I took them in my husband picked them up and he was late doing so which was not cool on his end and that's the only reason I'm giving a second star. The third time I took them in and picked them up. I had tried calling a few times before to see if they had time available. Unless the owner answers expect the other girls to just say "no, sorry" they didn't offer to check any other times or days. When I got my pets in, I asked for a hair cut on my cat and just a bath an brush for my dogs. The most important thing was the nail trimming for my jack Russell. They smiled said no problem and took them back. When I came to pick them up I expected the price to be around $100 because of the cat's hair cut. Sure enough it was $103 I tipped them well but when I got home and got my cat out of the crate I was disappointed to see how choppy the hair cut was. My other dog that has more black than white hair looked fine and her nails were trimmed nicely. Then the worst one my jack Russell who is almost all white. Didn't look all white he had patches of light brown like they didn't fully lather him. He has wiry hair and he didn't smell fresh. Worst of all they didn't touch his nails! My husband called to complain and bring my dog back to get the nails trimmed. They called back two days later saying they didn't realize we had left a voicemail. She claimed to have cut his nails but that if I wanted I could bring him back as she could try grinding the nails but there wasn't much she could do once she got close to the nerve. I was fairly offended so I didn't go back and I won't be going back. read more

This was our first time here, my grandparents have a very tiny 3 lb Yorkie. When we called the girl on the phone answered all of our questions and then we made the appointment for the next day. We arrived promptly at 9 and he was done within an hour and a half. he was fresh, his nails were cut, teeth brushed and they even gave him a cute little bandana.
