This grooming spot does an okay job at best, but the reason for the one star and the reason they will never see my German shepherd Bolillo again is because of their attitude! Especially the older white lady that takes over everything. She has the worst, most condescending attitude and the whole staff treated me as if what I had to say was irrelevant compared to the person who was there with me. I really don't care who's name the appointment is under, if I wanted to keep business, I'd respect the dogs actual owner every time. Good job on losing out on business with a delightful and wonderful German shepherd, and good job on losing out on future business with a gorgeous European Doberman. Deuces! read more

I took my puppy here twice. The first time, we had a great experience. They just trimmed her face and paws. When I walked in, the staff was playing with her and she was happy. Last week, I took her in and when I booked the appointment, I asked for a clean up and said it was still cold out so I didn't want her fur to be short. I had done some reading and because dachshunds are double coated, shaving them is not recommended. Long haired and wire haired doxies may not get their pattern back and their fur may not grow back the same. When I took her in, I reiterated that I did not want her to be shaved and that it shouldn't be short. The groomer asked me for a length and pointed at 2 lengths. I told her it was my first time taking her in to be groomed all over and that I would trust her recommendation. I also repeated myself that I did not want her fur to be too short and that it was still cold outside. They took clippers to my dog and gave her back with a botched shave. Her pattern is completely gone! She was scared when I picked her up. I also noticed that she would whimper when I picked her up and saw a lot of irritation with a small area with a bunch of brown dots. I took her to another groomer who saw it and told me it was a small burn from hot clippers. She also agreed that her fur would take months to grow back and that it might not grow back the same since she was double coated. The other groomer cleaned up the botched job and took out the undercoat that was left in (she was shedding like crazy). She has been in sweaters ever since--she's been shivering outside. This sucks because I really like the pet hotel, but I have lost trust in this business. I did complain and got my money back, but the email back was very much a non-apology. I will not be returning. As for her fur and pattern, time will tell how it grows back. It still looks awful and uneven--the second groomer didn't not want to take off any more length.
