He was to remove all the popcorn ceilings in my townhome. He was not supposed to paint the walls. Several months into my project Chris accepted another job and dropped mine. As of now, my townhome is still unfinished. I had two contractors from established companies give me an estimate on how to finish this project. Both agreed that the work was poor quality workmanship. It will cost a lot of money and I have already lost a lot. I would not recommend Chris Ivey for any job. The photos are actually four out of 21 photos. The first is how not to paint around a faceplate. The third photo looks like fine lines/cuts, but is wide tape left on the wall and painted over. The second photo shows the popcorn ceiling old tape painted over.The old tape should have been removed and replaced. The last photo is a closet which is now multicolored. I believe the photos speak for themselves. I have lots of photos to confirm this.

If the only issue was how the trash was thrown everywhere, and the quantity of old nails left on my lawn - I wouldn't be as disappointed with the job. However, Zett admitted to not having fully inspected my roof before installing shingles. As a result, his crew shingled over multiple pieces of plywood that were rotted and molding. Zett refused to rectify the situation, which left me with a bigger bill to have to remove the shingles, replace the decking, and reapply the shingles. If that weren't enough, he was completely condescending and dismissive of the negligent job he and his team did. To compound matters, he placed my family and I in harms way with the mold that was left in the attic as a result of not appropriately inspecting my roof before installation. Hopefully, this review, along with many other reviews, will prevent someone from having a similar negative experience with this company. Stay far away from Zett and Quality Craftsmen.

When it became air conditioning season again I thought there was a problem with the HVAC exterior plumbing. I called Nelson, spoke with Lassito, the General Manager, and asked him to come out and take a look. It turned out to be a "non problem", I was mistaken on the function, "Operator Error" on my part. It was reassuring to know that if I had a problem I could simply make a call and someone from Nelson would be out to look at the issue. I was impressed that they would care about their work enough to send someone out to inspect. How often does that happen nowadays? Going back to my original review, I had a great experience with Nelson Exteriors, from Jake, my salesman, Lyndsey and Lisa in the office to Jeff, the Project Manager for the renovations. They were prompt, courteous and had "can do" attitudes. They explained the process and followed through even with weather issues we encountered. I had rotted wood replacement, siding replacement, new gutters and complete painting. The attention to detail and quality of the work was outstanding. Each crew was meticulous in their job and it shows. I would recommend Nelson Exteriors without hesitation.

Found torn shingles were…read moreinstalled, butt indentations left where installers sat on the ridge vent, chimney cap crew set a ladder on the new roof and sliced into the shingles, gutter crew installed 1 gutter sloping the wrong way and another gutter leaks at a 90° angle, water stain in the bathroom from not covering all the bare roof during a thunderstorm. They will fix the problems though if you find them. Always inspect new work done by anyone.
