This is an amazing store. It has everything you can imagine. Evening wear, everyday wear, fine and costume jewelry and Designer items in the boutique(some even with tags), New, vintage and antique items in home goods. The employees and owner are welcoming, polite and very knowledgeable about absolutely everything they offer. They can take you straight to an item you're looking for. Absolutely amazing store where you can get hand down clothes, shoes, furniture and a lot more at really good prices! Re-Love It is such a fun and eclectic shop. The endless selection always has something special for everyone due to all inventory being brought in on consignment. It's impossible to spend less than an hour there once you start exploring! They have everything you can imagine (women's and men's casual and formal clothing, furniture, art, pottery, DVDs and blu-rays, CDs, housewares, knick knacks, etc.) and I walk out every time having purchased something unique! The consignment process is super easy and the employees made sure to explain the rules clearly and answer all questions. I have been cosigning at Relove it since it opened and have ALWAYS been greeted with a smile when I walk in and always have been treated with respect. The staff are great. Michael and Kim are truly kind and generous people. They share so much of their time and money to help our community. I am delighted to be a part of this. If someone does not want to donate their items just sign the correct form. Simple as that... Otherwise donating to a worthy cause is another great thing Michael and Kim are doing. They make it too difficult for sellers to get their funds. I've been asked to call at a different time of the month to get my funds, and of course, I forget to call back. My funds have been there for over a year. Its less than $20, but I wonder how many people are in the same situation. I was also asked to send an email with my new address and I did that a week ago and just received a response, my check has still not gone out though they promised it a week ago. This is not the first time I've been through this same circular issue with them. I will not be selling here again. read more

I kinda dig this place. It's hobo-chic but you can totes find some amazing stuff here if you come randomly and often enough. Case in point - I won two vintage Thai temple/Batik rubbings in their silent auction, and a fun/woodsy large vintage owl print that will look amazing once framed. Other random finds - small painted navajo vase, large framed Cyrus Ansary buffalo print (yes, I have a Southwest fetish), cool old mirrors, Halloween yard decorations, large framed art- be wary of this last one, some of them look like they were snatched from hospital waiting room walls in the 1980's and are pretty grody. Same rule of thumb goes for the clothing - some of it's very cool and designer brand, but some of it is 1980's kitsch that should've been burned along with many of the other horrible things (car design, hair styles, men's tighty-white short shorts) that came out of the 80's. People are always friendly. The upstairs, which I didn't realize existed until a few weeks ago, is huge but (fair warning) smells like cat pee when you first get up there. Weird. Oh well, this is a thrift store, not the Ritz, what'd you expect? I can handle mystery smells and stains every once in a while if I'm finding some sweet gear for our place in the meantime. read more

I use to work here from 2018-2019, and the management is very unprofessional. They dress the part, however, treat their consignors items like they are not a priority. I have seen it from the men side as well as the woman's section. It is actually one of the reasons why I quit. The manager of the store will lie right to your face and not want you to pick up your items so they can donate (keep it themselves) for the store's profits. At least your most valuable things will never leave the store unless you pick them up! I wouldn't recommend any position opportunities with them to my worst enemy due to the line of disrespect they give their employees. It's like a huge gossip group about each other that is fueled by the boss and manager together. Never again. read more

UPDATE: Fantastic shop. The quality of merchandise has really picked up lately. I originally gave this place four stars but now I rate it five stars. Here's the info: Women's clothing arranged by designer. Yes, I said designer. I've even found a Carmen Marc Valvo cocktail dress. Retail would be around $800 at Neiman's, here $125. Lots of pieces from Ann Taylor, Ralph Lauren, etc. Exceptionally great prices. If you are anywhere in this area, you know there is no place to shop for clothes unless you drive to Leesburg. Change your mindset and shop here first. If I'm looking for something in particular, I stop by here before heading to Leesburg, Dulles, or Tyson's. That's right - I mean it! Chances are they'll have it. Of course it's hit or miss since its a consignment store. Don't get your feathers ruffled if they don't have your size!! Try back later. They're always getting in consignment pieces and you never know what you'll find. Also, don't miss the hats, jewelry, gloves, and shoes. Recent score: green suede car coat. Sweet deal!!!! I'm in every couple of weeks (because I restrain myself from going more often), and I always find something really cool at a steal. Check for vintage pieces too. Fantastic vintage 1950's wool cape. They have a lot here, we came to purchase so that's what I am basing my review on. We found some great finds at reasonable prices, we bought a small piece of furniture and a few small lamps. As with any sort of place like this the selection changes, and there's a lot from clothes to household items to furniture pieces. The store is suprisingly big, and they have a furniture cellar a few doors down as well. I will most certainly be back to visit and see what they have. read more

While this place is fine for purchasing items, for sellers, it's a joke. Seller beware...they lose your items, they don't properly inventory, customer service is slow and uncaring. No appreciation for sellers at all. Worst place I've ever consigned. Will go back to driving 1.5 hours away to my favorite shop. read more

As a follow-up from my first post, I received a hand written note from the owner, Michael, in the mail the other day. The note reads politely but is not an apology at all. It's him continuing the argument we had by providing "proof" of store credit I had used for a previous purchase. The problem with his evidence (a copy of a receipt was stapled to the letter) is that the purchase he references was made in May 2011. I was in the store around Jan. 12 of 2012 when I was told I had a store credit balance of around $18. When I went in to collect the money (the worker had told me they cut checks after the 15th of the month and I would have to come back in to pick up the check) my store credit balance was something like $6. So that is what he was trying to explain - the discrepancy in my balance. The bottom line appears to be that someone made a mistake. Either the worker who told me my balance was $18 was wrong, or someone mistakenly allotted part of my store credit to another consignor who was making a purchase. I'm tempted to think it was the latter because my last name is pretty common and it would be easy enough to accidentally select the wrong person if their computer system uses a drop-down menu for example. But beyond that, the reason I'm giving this store yet another 1 star review is because the owner is argumentative, aggressive and just plain rude. I will not do any further business with him and I would urge you to think twice before you do. read more

I have been in the shop may times and have made occasional purchases on items that I thought were fairly priced. Last month I decided to take some of our nicer used clothing items in for consignment. They are very picky which is fine with me as they know what sells and what does not. I let them set the prices although you can set them yourself if you'd like. Yesterday i went in and picked up my first check for $45 after selling about half a dozen of the items. Everyone was friendly throughout the process and I am happy with my earnings. Sure, I could have invested more time/effort and sold these things myself via craigslist or ebay but this process was much easier (although less lucrative). My daughter has really gotten into it and it has helped her clean out her old clothes. I have a big pile of stuff that is considered winter so it has to wait until August when they start taking winter items. Overall I am a fan of this store. The inventory changes all the time and although some things are overpriced there are many great bargains to be found. I'll continue to shop here and be a consignee. read more

Consigners beware! I did not have a good experience consigning at this shop. I have been consigning for over 30 years so I have experience consigning with many different shop owners locally and in other states where I have lived. Consigned furniture, wedding dress, everything, anything. I filled out the additional paper work which stated I wanted to pickup my items after the term, called first to say I was coming to get my items, was told they would be available for pick up but when I got there I was told they had been donated. Out of 20 items, they sold two and I got one item back, all the others were donated. The owner Kim was rude when I asked her why she said she had my clothes but when we couldn't find them she then said they were donated even though I filled out the papers which stated I wanted to pick my items up. Very disrespectful and dishonest to consigners. read more

I've never really been able to find anything I like, especially from the small pool of selections in my size. I feel like everything is overpriced: I could buy new clothes in better condition with what they charge. I've visited ReLove It about 5 times since their opening, and have never been able to find anything worth buying, except for one pair of much needed work pants purchased out of urgency. i am very disappointed after taking some clothes to re-love for consignment! after 3 weeks i picked up all clothes because i did not want them to "donate" this to their charity but when i picked these up, i was told that some items have already been "donated" just a couple of days after i dropped these off!!! whaaatt??? this is not what we agreed on... but didn't want to waste energy on this issue. bottom line: it's better to donate anything to legit charitable organizations, like salvation army or goodwill. re-love is a dishonest business and i was ripped-off. don't let them do it to you. Since this is the only clothing shop in Purcellville, a lot of us have no choice but to go here. It's an all right store, they do have some good items, but for a thrift shop it is too pricey. The owners aren't rude but they aren't friendly, which doesn't bother me but may affect some people's experience. Overall, not bad. :) read more

I live nearby and enjoy the selection in women's clothes. The average household income around this area is VERY high and you can see it in the clothes on consignment. They have a large selection of name brands in both their clothing and handbags. The people working there are friendly and helpful. They are part of a revitalization that is happening in the small town of Purcellville. It's a great shop and surrounded by other unique stores including a vintage bike shop and antique bazaar with a farmers' market on Saturdays. I highly recommend. These guys are terrific. I had an old pine table in a consignment shop in Middleburg that was poorly displayed and sat for months without a sale. I moved it here where it was put in front with a nice bowl on it and it sold in a week! I went in recently with a photo of a sofa I wanted to sell. They told me they could not take it (upholstered furniture is getting more difficult with health laws) but put me in touch with a potential buyer who they knew was looking for something similar. That person bought the sofa! I find their women's clothing and accessories in nice shape and they have a good selection. I give them high marks. read more

I have been shopping at this store since it opened. It is such a huge relief to have a place we can all find good quality items that we don't need anyone to re-make! We have enough "stuff" in this world so the concept of "Re-love it" is wonderful!!! I have sold things at this location as well and they are very easy to work with and my sales go right into an account I can use to buy things I need now. The staff is friendly and so, so helpful with delivery and helping to get large items home if you just ask ...the answer is always "YES." 5 stars for sure! read more

They have a very large and unique set of used items but the owner needs a serious attitude adjustment. I went in to purchase a mirror with my boyfriend and "checked in" on their mobile keypad which we do every time I visit or make a purchase. The owner yelled and said that checking in was only for $20 or more purchases, and proceeded to cuss and threaten me and my boyfriend following us outside yelling obscenities. read more

Won't sell here again. They won't cut you a check unless it's over $20, but they collect 60% of what you make. So it's basically pennies for your things and it sits in an account to use in the store. They do make it difficult to collect your money and if you pick up your things before the donation deadline, they won't help you find it...so you pick through the store to take it back. Only sold once and won't do again, I've had better luck and profit with well organized yard sales. read more

I put some things up to consign in July. I visited this shop regularly and I had not seen my items out on the floor. I asked three different sales people about it and they all gave me different answers but not to worry. I decided a few days ago to go get my items and I was told that they had "worked" there way through the system. I explained to her about the run around I was given by her staff and I wanted my items....I was being helped by one of the owners Kim who was unbelievable rude and was raising her voice at me and making a scene in the store. I am still in disbelief about how she flew off the handle at me. She told me that the items were donated but I had a sweater still on the floor. I never signed the portion of the paperwork where I wanted my items to be donated. She told me she would follow up with me over this and I have yet to hear from her. I will never do business with them again or shop there. I was totally taken advantage of and I'm out a few hundred dollars. There is no organization there and don't expect any help. read more

I also do not like doing business with the owners of ReLoveIt. I consistently have left things there to be consigned that do not appear on my inventory list when I check back to see what has sold, The reason I ask for my things not to be donated after they don't sell is because I want accountability for the items not sold AND I like to choose which place I would like to donate my items. When asked by the owners wife what happened to items that are lost, she blamed it on her employees which I think is very unprofessional. She told me that most people donate their items which made me feel like there was something wrong with me because I didn't. I never did get an answer for my issue of missing items. It is run very poorly with ABSOLUTE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I find the owners to be very defensive and they make you feel like there is something wrong with you if you question their practices. Actually, I find the employees much more friendly. Larrisa who works in the clothing area should own and run a store. I find the woman owner to be very arrogant. It troubles me how they stay in business. Maybe it will catch up with them someday. I was not caught shoplifting! This is offensive. Like I said, it will catch up with them someday. read more

Just to echo some other reviews regarding re-love it, i suggest that if you want to consign anything that you go elsewhere. I will not consign anything here again. If I organize my possessions to sell, I am on top of things. I checked in when they asked me to check in. I understood about the donation policy. Before the 2 months (at the end of the time-frame, not the week after) I went in to pick up my clothes. I was told that they had been donated, and I was a little pissed that I had done exactly what I was supposed to and they did what they wanted with my property anyway. I had 3 men's XL hoodies in great shape, in fact one was new, and an XL Mountain Hardware jacket. I didn't get upset, just made up my mind that I'd be better off putting my items on craigslist or the local varage sale website. I call BS on their clothing consignment...they are running some kind of racket. This many people, and probably many more that don't bother to share their experiences, can't be lying about what's going on at this store. read more

Just yesterday, some friends and I had decided to look around at some dresses, some dresses we had intended on purchasing. We neatly took some dresses off of the rack and went to try them on. As we were walking to the dressing room, an employee confronted us saying, "are you guys going to a dance?" And we replied no, we were simply just looking. We tried on the dresses and modeled for our other friends when the same employee accused us of messing up all the dresses on the rack and trying on dresses without the intent to purchase. So we took off the dresses and then the employee made us go organize the rack that she had thought we messed up. As we were leaving, the owner came up to us and said that we had come in many times before and messed up the dresses and broke the zippers. We had only been in the store once before and we didnt break any zippers. We may be high schoolers but we respect the dresses we are trying on. The employees made it sound that we had abused their dresses. The thing that got us was the store isn't Coach Factory or Michael Kors, I actually went into Coach the other day and the employees were nicer there. It's not a high end clothing store, it's a thrift store. After being rudely accused, we left and claimed that we would take our business elsewhere, which we will do and hope others will too. They lost a lot of sales and future purchases for falsely accusing a group of teens, so if you are in the mood for some thrift shopping, I recommend Blue Ridge Hospice, they have nice clothes, great prices and the money goes to a great cause. Oh and they have some decent respect for their customers. read more

Very disappointing experience. Between three of us - we spent over $600 there - yes, $600 - and then when the store's employee dropped a stand (that was part of our purchases) while trying to lift it without help, it fell to pieces. We did offer to take the pieces off the owner's hands and try to fix it ourselves, but since his employee broke it, we felt a full refund was fair. The owner offered to refund all but $10 if we kept the pieces. (The stand was $30 by the way.) He squawked about having to pay the consigner 'something.' They make it clear by signage that consigned items must sell within three months or the items are donated. Looking at the tag, this stand had been there 6 months! When challenged on this, the answer was 'some items we keep longer.' Then why is there signage/policy? And if THEIR employee damages your item, don't bother the owner with 'customer service' issues. And if you dare to ask for the next day price (prices go down after so many days), you'll be told to go stand in the corner until said day arrives. We understand they're all in it to make some money, but if you earn your money by poor customer service and rudeness, you won't be getting any more of ours. One last tip: don't bother asking to join the 'rewards club' unless you spend at least $20. My friend, who spent only $16, was rudely reminded 'that's why we call it the 20/20 club.' The guy couldn't get any more smug or condescending. read more

I left some shoes with the intake person who evidently did not credit them to my account, because when I received my check and a list of items that were donated to charity these shoes were not included. I e-mailed and asked about the shoes and was told by Kim that the "items did not meet the criteria for consignment therefore they were donated." Since I saw on the web page that they sold shoes, and since I saw shoes for sale when I was there I called the store to find out what happened to my shoes. They were practically brand new shoes and I can't believe they wouldn't have qualified for winter inventory. On the phone, Kim was was extremely rude and kept interrupting me. She never answered my question as to why these items were not included in my inventory. I had not been given a copy of the inventory of items I left and I should have asked for one. The shoes were LL Bean mocs, which are still being sold, and New Balance Hiking shoes which were only worn twice, and a pair of snow boots in new condition. It's hard to believe the items didn't sell, and I never did find out why they were not listed in my inventory. Kim even asked how did she know I left the shoes - that was insulting. I noticed in earlier reviews complaints about Michael. In my conversations with him he allowed me to speak without interrupting. He was very professional. read more
