Busted leak. Had to make a fast move and call property management…read more This lady by the name of Tammy B. Called me right back and informed me that she would get right on it. She totally understood how a single mother has to be superMOM at all times. I had to pick my son up from school. She talked on the phone with me while I was driving to the school took my cellphone number and put me on hold. She called a plumber and told me that within the hour she would call me back with the ETA. Ms Tammy called me back within 30 min. She informed me that he would be on his way shortly. Gave me his name his cell phone info just in case. Sh even gave me her direct number just in case I wouldnt get a hold of anyone. I love how she made me feel calm and not stressed. She even made me laugh a little. Very delighted to have someone on the other end of the line to make me feel at home. Thank you Tammy for all your hard work.

RENTER BEWARE!!! I am a qualified homeowner with a 760 credit rating and more than enough…read moreverifiable income. I paid application fees and submitted a complete application NINE days ago. What has followed is a frustrating disaster of non-communication and some sort of game playing. I have been told repeatedly that my application was completed and being sent to the manager repeatedly, only for them to come back and ask for the same information that was already given. I would call to follow up and the Application Specialist would not return my calls. When I finally called back and insisted to hold for him, he would get on the call very disorganized and try to insist he was waiting for me to send document. Then I would tell him exactly when they were submitted, then the next day they would invent some new arbitrary request To intentionally delay the process. They systematically and seemingly intentionally kept me on the hook for nine days until admitting that they rented to someone else! It gets better... they are refusing to refund my application fees!!! Best case: their staff is disorganized and unprofessional. Worst case: there are some sort of shady business practices that are holding would-be renters hostage while they play games. If you are considering listing your home with these people, I would highly suggest that you look elsewhere--I'm not sure they are capable of getting tenants through the process.

I'm a property owner of a condo and use Camellia to manage it. The prior tenant has ended her…read morelease and the property was vacant as the covid19 pandemic started and Camellia was working to rehab and improve the unit. During this period we had a number of issues where the condo was broken into and Charlie at Camellia was really on top of keeping the property monitored and secured, including putting up motion lights and a camera, arranging for windows to be boarded (and then repaired) when glass was broken and working with the neighbor who was also troubled by the situation. He also kept in good communication with me on the situation. As an owner you expect a property manager to vet renters, collect rent, etc but I have been quite impressed by the effort put in while vacant. Remember that a property manager is making no money in that situation, and they could have easily told me it was too hard to manage and left the condo in a pretty bad state. I'll mention that the reviews of property managers are tricky. Tenants who feel they were treated unfairly can easily skew the ratings and they're highly motivated to leave negative reviews. If you're a property owner considering Camillia please take into consideration that bias when selecting a property manager. Honestly, if the reviews from tenants are 100% good they may be too lenient.

When I called to schedule a tour, I was informed that every adult (18+) who might potentially live in the home had to complete a rental application before being allowed to view the property. While I understand this may be company policy and is legal in California, I found it to be an unnecessary hurdle. I believe prospective renters should have the opportunity to tour a home before being asked to submit personal information and complete an application, allowing both parties to determine whether there's mutual interest. When I asked why the policy was in place, I was told it "makes processing easier" if an applicant decides to move forward. I completed the application in less than 15 minutes, so that explanation didn't outweigh the inconvenience from my perspective. The customer service also left much to be desired. The representative came across as curt and dismissive, leaving me with the impression that my interest as a prospective tenant wasn't valued. I have stable employment, reliable income, good credit, and no eviction history. Although I submitted the required application, I chose not to move forward after learning there was a one-week wait to tour the property. Had that been disclosed during my initial call, I would not have applied. For those reasons, I decided to take my business elsewhere.
