Re Nu Ceilings is one of the best in the business. They don't do painting, just popcorn removal. I got an estimate and the person asked for the front door to be opened afterwards so that he could leave. Basically, he didn't want to touch the door handle. I'd suggest wearing a fresh pair of gloves to each house if you feel so strongly about that. Yes, Re Nu has many happy customers, but popcorn removal is done by many companies here in South Florida. I requested an estimate from a couple of companies to remove by popcorn ceiling. When I finally decided to go ahead and move forward with Re Nu it was evident I had made the right decision. The team was on team, very polite and communicative. They were organized, cared for my home and furnitures. Made an appointment for an estimate, got multiple calls to confirm said appointment which I confirmed only for them not to show because I didn't respond within 15 min of yet another confirmation message/call the day of. Called and spoke to Tara. I asked why the no show after the multiple confirmations, only for her to get defensive and argumentative about their procedures. I just used them to scrape off old popcorn from the 70s ...... and I'm so glad I went with them! I had someone refer me and I'm grateful. Extremely professional from the time of the owner coming to give me an estimate.... to the workers who were on time, clean and detail oriented. They covered everything and cleaned up to perfection before they left. I only did a couple rooms because I wanted to see how good their work was before doing the rest of the house and I am here to say ..... I will definitely use them to finish my house. They did a great job and I will be referring them to anyone I know who plans to do their ceilings. I went with a hand texture finish because I like the look. Extremely messy. After being told several times, including the morning the job started that there would be no mess at all as their advertising and trucks say. It was totally unbelievable the mess that was left in hour house. Everything in the house was covered in a layer of dust, and the brand new tile floors were a disaster. The mud used for the knock down was all over furniture, walls, and doors. It took a professional cleaner with our help an entire day to clean up the mess left behind. They also moved things that really did not need to be moved an in doing so broke a two hundred year old antique clock. The ceiling looks ok, but very disappointed in the mess left behind especially given the number of times that we were told there would be no mess. Even more disappointed in the attitudes of the people doing the work, and the fact that they did not practice COVID protocols as we were told they would. read more

After my roof leaked I needed new drywall and knockdown texture in my ceiling. I also needed new drywall underneath a window that had a leak. I sent photos to Re Nu Ceilings via email and they called back with an estimate. Within a week, a team of three men came to my house to complete the repairs. They used plastic to minimize dust and cleaned up after they completed the work - which took about an hour. The knockdown texture was a perfect match and blends in with the rest of the ceiling. I am extremely happy with the completed work and I have already recommended the company to someone else. The men were very professional and focused on their work. I met with other companies who wanted to charge me DOUBLE for our rooms that had popcorn ceiling and plenty of imperfections on the walls. Raven at the office was very prompt and sent a reminder the day before our appointment. Dale and Carlos are God's gift to drywall and I HIGHLY recommend them. We highly recommend Renu! They came to our house to remove the ceiling popcorn and spray knockdown on them. They covered the walls and floors completely in plastic, then scraped the popcorn off our ceilings and sprayed knock down. When they were done, they took all the plastic down and removed it, they cleaned up easily and didn't leave a mess at all. They were quick and efficient, They knew what needed to be done and did it. Similar experience as previous reviewer. I had Phil (possible owner) come out to give an estimate on repairing ceiling and drywall in room. During his initial visit wife was in master bedroom indisposed, but I clearly stated that there was an additional crack that need repair. My fault for not verifying quote included master bedroom. Day of service they come out and begin setting up. Talk to Vito (nice guy) and he tells me master is not on quote so I tell him to call Phil. Get a call from lady at office telling me that the master would be done at same price. Few minutes later Vito tells me that Phil said it would be an addition $250.00. Told him to have Phil call me. Long story short Phil calls me liar. I promptly tell Phil I am not accustomed to being called names by people I hire to do work for me. Phil has Vito pack up and leave. Project was removal of popcorn ceiling finish to entire 2,300 sf home applied 24 years ago. Quote was reasonable. Communication from their front office was excellent. Called the day before to confirm and again when the job was near complete so we could go in and inspect prior to paying. Work crew showed up promptly at 8am. When completed, they cleaned up and the result looks great. We had a knockdown finish applied... It will look better when it's painted in a few days after the applied finish dries. They took great care and everything was covered in the house. A couple of spots of knockdown that splattered on some interior doors, but that's it. We had a leak in one of my living room walls adjacent to the bathroom. We had to replace a portion of the wall due to rot. The work was done within the communicated timeline, and no mess was left in the living room. In between work, the wall and surrounding tile was completely covered and the footprint of the work space was not disruptive to the rest of the house at all. They were very responsive throughout the process and made us feel comfortable with the plan. ReNu ceilings provided a very reasonable quote, although they were a few hundred dollars higher than one of my three quotes, I used them because of their super reputation. Several of my neighbors have used them and they have a high rating on A----- List. I had all popcorn ceilings scraped and refinished with knock- down. They were exactly on time for both the estimate and on the day of the work. They did an amazing job of covering everything with plastic sheeting.
