My son receives service from Reach for Speech for the last couple of years. I don't even know how to show my full appreciation for everything they do for my son. He receives speech with Ms. Danielle and OT and feeding therapy with Ms. Libby. Ms. Danielle helped us get an AAC device. It is definitely not a fast thing to get these through insurance (but what is?) but Danielle did all the paperwork, application, follow-ups, and status checks for me. She walked us through everything and made the process for us as easy as it could be. She did all the hard work :) I believe that our device didn't get denied through insurance because of all the documentation that she sent in. She is so thorough and detailed with her notes and with insurance, you have to be. She also is an incredible therapist working with my son. She has such a kind demeanor and is so patient. His speech has improved drastically since starting. He is considered nonverbal, so back and forth conversation is not strong for him. She has unlocked words with him using his preferences of numbers, colors, and shapes. She has shown us how to try to build off those interests to make more connections and have him engage in our questions and activity play. Ms. Libby works with my son on his sensory needs and fine motor skills in OT. He couldn't hold a crayon or marker when we began but now he is doing lines and circles and learning how to use scissors as well. She knows him so well where she can sense his mood for the day and do activities based on that so he can be successful. My son is autistic so doing new things is sometimes a challenge. Libby has the patience, understanding and expertise in trying new things so it doesn't become a traumatic experience for everyone involved. She knows when to push a little and when to reset and say, hey we will try this another time. Ms. Libby also works with my son for feeding therapy. I would say this has been the biggest growth for him since starting. He started therapy refusing to put purées or any solid foods in his mouth. He actually would gag at the sight of food. She understood that creating a safe and stress free environment is where the major growth happens. She has so many ideas of how to engage him in food play and interest. She gives me suggestions to try at home. He still has challenges that we are working through, but the amount of progress he has made is remarkable. As a mom too, you want to see your child be happy and healthy, and when we come here we know that he is getting the services he needs but also it is a bright spot in his week. We love the team at Reach For Speech! Even the therapists that we do not work directly with are so incredibly friendly and kind. The whole staff is just hands down amazing. We work directly with Danielle for Speech and Meghan for OT. I can't say enough good things about either of them. Danielle has helped my son to make great strides in his speech. The way she works with him even teaches me something new every time we have a session. Each week Jaxson looks forward to seeing Danielle and gets excited when it's his turn. Her personality is so uplifting and fun and she really knows how to communicate with Jaxson in a way he understands and responds well to. Meghan has made OT such a fun and engaging experience for Jaxson. The energy she has to keep up with him is admirable. Even though we are her last appointment of the day, at the end of a long week she doesn't show any signs of being worn out. Meghan is dedicated to helping Jaxson get things right, no matter how many times he wants to try, and he genuinely loves to play with her. Honorable mention to Sara and Sam. Jaxson previously worked with Sara for speech before he was transferred for scheduling and Sam before she went out on maternity leave. Some days when we pass by the Robinson office Jaxson will still say something about Miss Sara he really enjoyed his time with her and she made a lasting impression in a small time. Jaxson gets to see Sam sometimes too even though she's no longer his OT and when he does he really enjoys it. We appreciate everything your team does to help our child succeed and grow. Our son has been enrolled at reach for speech for a few years under the care of Ms. Meredith (speech) and Ms. Sam (OT). When our son started R4S at age 2, he was nonverbal and was very difficult to engage with. It took months to find a way to engage him and understand his needs, but Ms. Meredith stuck with him. She modified her techniques and integrated new ideas each session to meet him where he was at and eventually gained his trust. She is a true expert in her practice! Ms. Meredith recognized his severe childhood apraxia of speech diagnosis and added on OT (Ms. Sam) for extra help as she explained this would improve his fine motor skills, motor planning abilities, and his attention to a task-- which would help improve his speech apraxia. This was a game changer as Ms. Sam incorporated fun play while getting him to follow directions and complete different skills. This tremendously helped him succeed starting preschool with his peers. Her gentle and patient personality sets her apart. Now at age 4, our son is forming sentences, communicates his needs with confidence, and is working on articulating his words with accuracy. We are so happy with his progress and have so much gratitude for his therapists. He has a long road ahead, but we are so thankful we have our very caring therapists to help him along the way. We love R4S!! My son has been receiving different therapies for over a year and has made so much progress. We currently see Ms Danielle for ST and Ms Sam for OT and I couldn't speak more highly about them. They are both so energetic and friendly with my ASD and highly ADHD son. Both are so patient with him and he has grown so much with them. We have also done feeding therapy previously with Ms Karli and Ms Ellora and they were also amazing and helped him learn that trying new foods was ok and not terrifying!! We also saw Ms Emily briefly over the summer for PT and she taught him to ride a bike, something we've been struggling with!! Seriously, all the therapists are phenomenal and I recommend the office to anyone that asks or needs help for their child!! We have been to all 3 offices and they are all equally amazing. Ms Hilary is so personable and friendly and my son always looks forward to seeing his friend when we go! I could go on and on about Miss Danielle and Miss Sam. They feel like family. You can tell they LOVE what they do. They're knowledgable, they always have good tips and tricks to help at home. They have great personalities and sense of humor. They make therapy so fun for our daughter and even for us parents! They always let us know when they have make up sessions available if we missed appointments. and they are so easy to get in touch with. The office is always clean and everyone is so friendly. It's located near so many stores and restaurants in case you need to get some shopping done while your kiddo is in therapy or need a quick bite to eat. The progress that has been achieved by Ms Meredith McWilliams for Dexter and Atlas has been nothing but remarkable. The speech development program has brought the boys to a level that is reflected at school, home, and social settings. It has also helped both children to interact with a lower level of frustration brought on by the speech restrictions before starting the program. Reach for Speech is amazing! I have been taking my daughter to occupational therapy and physical therapy for years. Finding Reach for Speech has been a game changer! My daughter sees Libby (OT) and Ellen (PT) in both the Robinson and Moon Twp. locations. I can't say enough about both Libby and Ellen. They are wonderful. My daughter is excited to see them every week. My daughter recently had surgery and both Ellen and Libby stepped up to ensure that all protocols were being met in her OT / PT sessions. Loved all the providers I met for a variety of issues. I had two children in this office for service. 12 years before I finally found someone to help me with my daughter's PICA! Now we're finally able to understand and manage it better. 3 different agencies all told me my son didn't have speech delays before I found reach for speech - now not only did we break ground, he's excelling! We have been receiving services here for many years now and all of the therapists are absolutely wonderful. Natalie Silverman OT is beyond amazing! She is so thoughtful,fun, patient, energetic and sweet to my son. He adors her and has come full circle since beginning treatment with Natalie. We have been extremely impressed by Reach for Speech. My son sees Ms. Danielle for speech therapy for a tongue thrust. She has completed specialized training programs in this area and is very knowledgeable. She always explains the exercises that he needs to complete very clearly. We have been hoping to avoid having a tongue crib appliance placed and have seen tremendous progress from the sessions that he has completed so far! My son has been attending Reach for Speech for Speech Therapy with Ms. Meredith and Ms. Maura for 6 months now give or take. I have nothing but good things to say about our two therapists. My son has had amazing improvements in his Speech so far. I have 3 boys who receive speech and occupational therapy. Everyone is alway so friendly and really make me feel included in my boys treatment plans. Over the last few months I've seen so much progress in all of them! Miss Meredith works with all of them for speech and shes been able to bring out so much in each of them. we have been coming to reach for speech for at least four years. they are phenomena. my oldest graduated from occupational therapy and speech therapy from here. my middle child is still currently enrolled. the staff is fantastic and are so understanding when it comes to each child's individual needs. Every therapist we have worked with here has been amazing. They work with each child and their individual needs, so the structure can look a bit different for every child.
