They'll seriously work with you however they can. So, we decided to give it a shot and enrolled our kids there. And honestly, we're still really happy with that decision. The staff is amazing. We first met Ms. Katrina. She was patient and understanding with our 2 year old, even with his tantrums. Still is. Ms. Marleni and Mrs. Laura both teach my eldest. They are both kind and understanding, while also being firm when necessary. My eldest has learned so much, and constantly ask when she will return to school, as she enjoys it that much. Since my children's enrollement, I have seen a dramatic change in their character. Curiousity shines on their faces. Intellectually, they have amazed me. Yes they are young. My 4 year old is reading, learning patterns and numbers. My 4 year old's cognotive reasoning and deduction up there. My 2 year old knows the alphabet. Counting out loud randomly and recoginizing various things. Vocabulary is up there. Word and picture association. I can't ask for more, but at the same, this school/daycare has pushed them to test those boundries. They are a nurturing school, with all female teachers. We never felt nervous about leaving our 6 month old here. It was truly a relief finding a day care that my child could grow through. My sisters brought their kids here and they referred us to lad and lassie. Ms Doris, Mr Frank and Ms Maggie in the office were all very professional and very communicative. Throughout the year, they have events for the kids to participate in. It's really a great place to take your child and I am glad we did. The price we paid was totally fair for what they offer. Unfortunately, there wasn't space for both of my children at the same time. My children have been to two schools prior to this one: Cornerstone Preschool, which was amazing until they were horrendously not (long story); and Gateway Montessori, which was also really good in terms of what I look for in a center. Eventually they informed me that there was space, and I transferred my children so quickly and have never looked back. My children have been attending since November 2024. They are AMAZING!! The teachers. The management staff. The owner. The facility. The curriculum. The academics. The fun!!! I can go on and on. I absolutely love this school and would recommend it to any parent or individual that is looking for work in a preschool. I had some challenges with my daughter's behavior, and rather than kicking my daughter out like Cornerstone Preschool did, they worked with us! Tried developmentally appropriate skills that I recommended, that they recommended, and that the owner (who is knowledgeable in child development) recommended. When all else failed, they held an SST with us and referred us to a third party that could provide in-house assistance (like a one-on-one with my daughter). They even allowed me in the facility to observe my daughter through the one-way mirror, and I was able to implement some changes with her based on what I observed. My daughter is doing SO well now. She's in their TK program this year and has made such great strides in her behavior. Even the teachers and owner are so impressed with her. This school genuinely cares about their students, and I can see such a difference between when a school genuinely cares about the successes and well-being of all students rather than just the well -behaved ones. When concerns are raised, communication is handled in a dismissive manner rather than through collaboration or dialogue. Parent input is acknowledged superficially, key points are bypassed, and agreements made at the classroom level are not upheld at the executive level. After receiving an assessment that did not accurately reflect our child's abilities (completed less than two months into enrollment), we raised concerns about the lack of context, narrative, and communication. The teachers acknowledged the assessment was not an accurate reflection of her capabilities and agreed it should be updated to reflect her short acclimation period and current capabilities. However, when this was escalated to the Executive Director, those agreements were disregarded. Rather than updating the assessment as discussed, leadership insisted on singling out a child instead of correcting an administrative misstep. Requests to simply revise the original assessment with accurate context were dismissed. When we expressed concern about the long-term academic implications of having an inaccurate student record, we were dismissed. The Executive Director superficially acknowledged our concerns, and reasonable requests were met with inflexibility rather than problem-solving. A school's culture is shaped from the top. If families are leaving, leadership may want to reflect on how parent advocacy is received and addressed.
