I first used Seung and team about 4 years ago for external house painting. They were a) very professional, b) thorough and c) very competitively priced. I've just finished a major renovation and my first go-to for a quote to paint the interior was Seung again. I got a detailed but clear proposal outlining everything and I accepted it immediately without going to any other painters. After Seung came and did my whole place, I had electricians come in and they had to make a bunch of patches/holes in the wall. I initially did not reach out to Seung/RAP because I wasn't sure if they did jobs like this. I needed sanding, texture, and re-paint to match the job they already did, but it was a smaller job. Through Yelp's auto-quote feature, it happened to reach out to Seung again without me realizing it. She quickly came to do a free inspection, realizing it was a place she had already done a job for, and gave me a very fair estimate, better than a lot others I'd seen. She scheduled me in quickly, arrived at around 10:30, finished by no later than noon and it looks brand new. The texture job is perfect and paint matches exactly, which a lot of other painter quotes said would be impossible to do. Very very satisfied! I would recommend Seung/RAP to anyone. I'd been needing a good painter for a while, but every time I had someone come out, they either tried to sell me on "additional work that needed to be done" or push some VIP package I didn't need or want. So when a good friend recommended Real Action Painting, I was cautiously optimistic. My guard was still up after so many disappointing experiences with other painting companies. When Seung showed up, I was genuinely relieved -- a woman business owner, on time, and personally showing up to look at the job. Usually, when "Mike's Painting Company" comes out, I end up dealing with one of the crew guys -- a Jeff or Bob -- never the owner. Initially, my decision to hire Real Action Painting (out of the 5 "bids" I got) was based more so on my desire to support a Korean woman-owned business. Now that my 2B/2Ba condo is painted fresh clean, I can say with no hesitation I was right to go with Seung. She made the quoting process a breeze; She was friendly when responding to my Yelp inquiries, and quick when answering all my follow-up questions via text. She came out, looked at the place, emailed me a proposal, and boom! We were set to go. The price felt reasonable, in comparison to the other estimates I received. And, in the end, the result proved it to be such a good deal. Difficulty-wise, I had 17(!!!) doors worn out in an old, ugly color. I was stressed about them. Seung assured me that she could have them transformed - and she was right! On the job, I had Mr. Baek and his two painters. They were pleasant, too. I was told max three days of work, but the team was done in a day and a half. I appreciated the speed, especially because quality wasn't compromised. Real Action Painting is the real deal! I contacted Seung about a year ago to provide a painting estimate for the interior of my 1,500 square foot condo. She came, took pictures, and provided a quote soon afterwards over email. I ended up getting several more quotes for comparison, but Real Action Painting was actually the middle-of-the-road quote that I ultimately went with. Every day, Mr. Baek and his crew arrived promptly at 8 o'clock. Not only were they always on time, they were amazingly respectful of my home, taking off their shoes when stepping on uncovered surfaces and being very careful when moving furniture around as needed. To begin the initial prep, they started by laying down drop cloths, tape, and plastic sheeting over the areas that weren't going to be painted. Then, they patched up the numerous holes and blemishes that existed all over my walls. I really appreciated that they took their time to scan every visible surface for any imperfections before diving in. Details like adding wall texture to previously smooth areas (where the previous owners of my home did a terrible patching job), cutting around rounded light fixtures with expert precision, and filling in gaps and seams made me so glad I hired professionals. The painting process itself was as smooth as could be. Mr. Baek and his crew worked with great efficiency. I would often shut myself in my office to do some work for a couple of hours, then come out and see they had already nearly completed an entire room! I asked them to come finish and correct the work and they keep pushing me off for months saying that they're too busy. They charged me for work that they didn't actually finish and wanted to later charge me more! They also got paint on my neighbor's car and had to pay to fix it. Sloppy work and very unprofessional team. They also claim to be female owned but the real owner and decision maker is male. They didn't do a bad job but there was a lot left to be desired. Painted our whole house minus a couple rooms. To be fair when I reached out to fix/amend she did whole heartedly offer to come back out which I really appreciated, unfortunately it was peak pandemic (holiday 2020) so we opted to not have more people come to our home again. Wish it was just done correctly the first time. They didn't do amazing repair jobs to prep for paint. they didn't remove some pieces of scotch tape on walls and just painted over them. Whatever tape they used on our hardwood floors, it appears it peeled the polyurethane coat off with the tape when they pulled it, I didn't realize this until a few weeks later when I put two and two together. That was the only work we had done, so not sure how else that could have occurred. Oh and also, when they moved the dryer to paint the laundry area, they didn't put it back right and the dryer vent hole did not align with the vent duct and for WEEKS we wondered why it was so damp when we ran the dryer, figured it out plus tons of dryer lint behind the dryer, probably a fire hazard. They did repair some holes very nicely. Estimation process was very easy and friendly. edit, i looked at some other review photos and you can see they use orange tape and if you look carefully, orange tape on the floor. fairly certain orange is the wrong tape for floor applications.
