Saturday - car starts to spit and sputter Sunday - car completely loses power, misfirings, dying I called Valvoline, Assistant Manager comes to my location, purchases a styrofoam cooler, jacks up my car and drains at least 3 quarts of black oil out. Advises that most likely they did not drain the old oil out and just added the new oil on top of old. After this I take car to repair shop Diagnosis - spark plugs are saturated with oil, many codes are registering on meter, low pressure I continue to call Valvoline and create a case, District Manager comes out to repair shop and is very unhelpful and insists that it is no fault of a valvoline. He had no knowledge of what was happening or could happen to the car. The manager and assistant manager pretty much admit that it occurs and they probably did not drain out the old oil. The District Manager says it could have many scenarios. In the long run Valvoline did not drain out my old oil and added new oil to the old. My car had about 10 quarts of oil in it and started to cease my engine. I would not go to this business. They do very low quality unprofessional work. Save yourself the expense and abuse.

The tech said nah there is 3 flavors indicating conventional hybrid or full synthetic oil. Since she is at a cold environment and does highway driving I chose the middle option. The root cause ended up being a missing NVH foam piece - something simple, but overlooked repeatedly. Bolt also worked directly with my warranty company and made a real effort to get as much covered as possible, which I appreciated. While they were in there, they were upfront about the spark plugs - noting that since access was already open, it made sense to take care of it now rather than paying for the same labor again down the road.
