I have a 16KW Generac that recently needed repair. The Generac is still under the original 5 year…read morewarranty, which includes parts, labor, and travel. I called the company that installed my Generac, but they couldn't get me an appointment for a month. Being hurricane season, I called Ellington Electric in Rockledge and they came 4 days later. They didn't have the fuses needed to troubleshoot/repair the issue, so they ordered more fuses and came back 2 weeks later to fix the issue. When they arrived, I was met with a $750 repair bill to fix the issue. I showed them the warranty and they told me that they don't go through Generac, even though they are an authorized Generac dealer/installer, but rather, they do a 60/40 split with the customer! I called Ellington Electric and explained the issue while the technicians were still here and I was told that they only work warranty issues through Generac for systems that they installed! My Generac warranty clearly states that it covers parts, labor, and travel and I wasn't going to get ripped off for $750 on a repair that should be free! I told the technicians not to repair my Generac and I'd call the company that installed it. They still took me for a $279 charge for diagnosing the issue. Be wary of this company! They will only honor your written warranty if they installed the equipment, which is not right! Any authorized dealer should honor the warranty, regardless of who installed the system. I'll never use or recommend this company for anything ever again.

Making the task more difficult was the fact that my extended family was also out of the country and nobody had access to the residence save one friend with a key who couldn't be there to supervise the work. I called ServPro of Central Brevard since I knew they specialized in the type of cleanup I needed done and was connected with the owner, Raymond, who wound up being a comforting and helpful individual to deal with my issue. Ray took it upon himself to meet my friend at work who had the keys to my residence, after which he meticulously documented the scene in my house with digital photographs that he emailed me and then discussed via phone. He then prepared a rather reasonably priced estimate for the work to be done, and he ensured the work was done in a timely manner. I was able to accomplish this all from out of state due to the great communication from Ray and his staff, and when I was able to eventually get back and survey the work they had done I was satisfied with the great job. I can say with confidence that this company is trustworthy and easy to deal with, even when faced with rather stressful occurrences. A++

They installed a brand new air conditioning system back in June and it has been leaking and…read moredripping water ever since and today they came out for the fifth attempt to repair it and 9 hours later the caulk is liquid as water and there is active water sitting on the system. When I reach out to their customer service, she told me that despite the fact that they offer a one-year warranty to remove the system, she would send me a quote to remove the system. Each time they come out they find new issues. In the future, another company will be invited to come replace the system and they will be told when they can come and remove their poorly installed system. When I mentioned this to them they told me that they would get me a quote to remove the system and after I sent them a picture of their invoice where they guaranteed customer satisfaction for a year or 100% removal and refund they then offered such. Meanwhile, I'm paying out of pocket for this air conditioner to be working way too hard to keep up with their failed repairs. On their last repair they drove across my lawn and caused about an 8' rut in my new sod adding insult to injury. I am absolutely done dealing with them And we'll let them know when they can remove their handler and air conditioning when I get someone else scheduled to replace it.
