I was recommended Luisa by my sister and absolutely love how she treated, cut, and styled my hair. Coming in, my hair was very long (down my butt) but also very heat damaged so when I asked for dynamic layers I was fully prepared to lose a lot of length but Luisa was able to deliver the perfect layers and treat the damage instead of cutting it which let me keep a lot of length too. Idk what these other reviews are talking about tbh, I had a great experience and I'm not usually easy to please. Everything was very clear - she went above and beyond explaining the treatments and why she recommended PlexForte for me over a hydrating treatment. I've been living in Maryland For about a year , and I've been scared to go to a salon after 16 years of going to the same Person/Salon in Brooklyn. I started searching for a Dominican hair Salon (because in my experience carribeans do hair best) , and I found this one. Their customer service is excellent. The owner colored and washed my hair. And two other very nice ladies did my rollers and blowout. My hair Looked silky Beautiful when they were done ; so I didn't mind Paying the $110 I was charged (I regularly pay $60, or $35 without The coloríng) .... now I rated 3 stars because although I loved my hair when I left the salon ; it literally only lasted a day. About a week after my visit ; when I washed my hair ALL THE DYE CAME OUT. My hair was brown again. This has never happened to me. Not even with beauty supply box hair dye. I'd never ever go to this salon again ,not worth the expensive prices at all. read more

She was almost done with my hair when I requested a trim. She amicable to my request. I was so pleased with the service and the atmosphere was clean and neat. Went for the first time today and am very happy with the results. I called first and they were super nice. When I came in it was big, quiet and clean. No kids running around or food smells, which gets on my nerves when I'm coming to be pampered. Celeste took me right away and gave a really good wash and deep condition. She even massaged my scalp which I really appreciated. One of my fears about going to Dominican salon's is that the blow dryer is always super hot and they never usually listen when I tell them don't make it too hot. Well, Celeste actually listened and styled my hair exactly how I wanted it. This will be my new salon going forward. read more

Went to dye my hair and have a blow out i have natural hair the only thing i put on my hair is color to cover my grays but this place gave me a trashy blow out that when i went outside my hair was puffy the stylist dry my hair with the blower and use a comb brush no blow dryer brush didnt work on my hair with the blower to manage my curls and my edges after an hour my hair was puffy and up the stylist told me that my hair was going to last 15 days when realy last for an hour read more

We walked in on a Monday with no appointment at 2pm and my daughter was out by 4:30pm with a fresh perm on her previously very short (natural) hair. My daughter is in the United States Marine Corps and must have a neat and clean look - they gave her that (and her smile back). She had to be somewhere at 5pm and they got her in and out quickly with smiles and good attitudes. I can't say enough about customer service - it can make or break where I go or where I will take family and friends. This is the best Dominican salon in the DMV - hands down!! I actually stumbled upon this place by accident on my way to another salon in Silver Spring and I'm so glad I saw this instead!! Now I'm a regular. As someone who stills gets relaxers (and is unashamed) I'm very picky about who I let put chemicals in my hair. But I assure you, this is the ONLY place to get anything serious done. Mari is the best and she is very meticulous with her work. I had my hair cut a few weeks ago and I'm still impressed with my hair. It falls so perfectly, and it was layered better than I've ever had it done before. WARNING: This place is just waiting for a law suit to happen. Ashley their "lash extension specialist" is NOT even one bit qualified. My aunt had her lashed done by Ashley and her eyes were on FIRE during the process and after. She would send me pictures and video. THEY LOOKED hideous. The quality is not even good!! All Ashley would say was that it was normal (my aunt never had them done before so she didnt really know). She called her back and told her she needed them off bc her eyes were burning and she told her if she could go in at X time and my aunt replied that she wouldn't make it. What was Ashleys response ? "well since you can come in at the time im going to charge you extra for another day". Like YOU ARE NOT EVEN QUALIFIED. This salon however does do hair very nice. HOWEVER, they need to get rid of their "lash extension specialist" unless they want a law suit. Shes cheap bc shes HORRIBLE. She tells you that they "last a good 2 months" YES BC YOU GLUE THEM WITH WHAT IS EQUIVALENT TO SUPER GLUE (thats what the person told my aunt that Ashley used to glue them) Which is horrible, i rather pay $160+ for quality extension at a place a friend of mine gets it done which look amazing. I read prior reviews on Yelp and decided to try this place to get my daughter's hair done. Everything positive that I read was true! They were super nice and very accommodating. My daughter loved her hair! She was given a free trim and the stylist did a good job making sure to only cut the hair that was damaged and did not go crazy chopping her hair. They pin curled her hair before she left to ensure her curls lasted the next day for her pictures at school. We will be back! read more

After around 3 weeks of wearing my hair straight, I washed my hair. My natural curls were gone. It took me 2 years to get my natural hair to grow. I didn't know that a blow-out would mean my hair would not return to the natural state again. I'm starting over and would not recommend getting a blow out if you love your natural hair. read more

I'll start by saying the ambience of the place is nice. It's very welcoming. The staff is quite courteous and they ensure are comfortable. However i feel like if you have 4c hair type, then this might not be the place for you. The amount of heat used is excessive. I understand because of the summer humidity they have to blow dry each section repeatedly, but the time used to blow dry my hair (above shoulder length) was just too much. It could've been reduced in my opinion. I also asked for Mari, but I wasn't able to get her.. but she was there when the excessive blow drying was done and didn't say a word. Also for naturals, flat iron had more than 3 passes on each section. It's a comfortable place to do your hair though! read more

Although I haven't been going on the regular every time I return there is always a new and updated look which gives the salon a more pampered look. I just got an amazing Dominican blowout done here. This is my first time in Maryland. The cost was inexpensive. The stylist and the lady who washed my head allowed me to have a pleasant experience. The most pleasant was that they blow dryer heat and the dryer heat was low and tolerable. The shampoo left my hair feeling great. I just loved it.
