I like that Rafaela worked with my schedule to view the property. Simone explained all that needs to be expected in the unit and the application process. She also gave me a heads-up on the days that she will not be available and instructions on who to reach if I have further questions. So far I am impressed with their service. I have had experience with other rental management personnel that does not respond at all or not notifying me if they will be late for the showing and I ended up waiting for half hour in the rain with my 2 small kids. read more

Reviewing as a renter. I rented an apartment in Los Gatos from an elderly gentleman in 2004. A few years later, he had REC manage the complex when he was unable to take care of it himself. The company raised my rent once or twice throughout the 8 years that I lived there even though my rent was well below market rate. I appreciate all they have done and the seamless process when moving out. I cleaned the apartment and received my full deposit in the mail. I believe I worked with Theresa Catalano and she was very sweet and professional! I recommend doing business with REC and I hope to rent from them again. read more

Absolutely terrible. We moved into 232 Barbara lane, loa Gatos in the middle of September 2019, the back of the home was not painted, interior not painted (looks like it was cleaned but there were scrapes on the wall and other various marks) there were electrical wires hanging from the pole and the huge tree in back had branches hanging off of it. The home itself was nice and we were ok with any cleaning needed. It was "broom clean" at best. Laurelle was our property manager. Long story short- they promised the tree would be taken care of ASAP - as we have 5 children, after 2 months of rain and huge branches falling we basically told them they need to get it done to be met with "don't let the kids go outside" and "the owner doesn't know if they can pay that much at this time"... ummm? What? Ultimately 2-3 weeks later we found them a few lower cost options to get it trimmed.. and it got trimmed. The people who installed our cable cleaned up the hanging wires for us. The duration of the tenancy it was obvious they were not going to be very responsive - telling me to "call people" when we had a small issue with the kitchen sink (the wash out needed to be snaked) we decided to make this a home because the plan was not to move until we were ready to buy, so we spent time and money adding rocks and landscape materials to the pretty bare modge-podge that was going on. We finally had an issue with our brand new dryer that it was not getting hot. They told me that it was probably an issue with the dryer- so I got it replaced, it still would not get hot. I asked for an electrician, so after about a week of not drying laundry she agreed- it took him 10 minutes to fix. He said it may fail again because the panel needs work.. There were not many issues but every single one was met with either non responsiveness or blame. Finally, we had a "video walk through" before our lease was up, with absolutely no issues on our end - paid rent late once when covid started (with the 10% late fee for 2 days), during a pandemic, she told me everything looked good. I asked about the water pressure with no response but a few weeks later we had a non renewal notice with no reason other than "the owner wants to move in a family member"... So, during a pandemic, with a family of 8, we started looking to buy.. absolutely not ready, but horrified to have to move our kids school again. We took a few months to actually close escrow which were met with borderline harassment. Evacuation notices, etc. we tried to move as quickly as possible and we let her know that we were having trouble because of covid and the CZU fires and evictions were restricted she said "that only applies to people that covid effects" COVID HAS EFFECTED EVERY SINGLE PERSON and we never missed a paymenUltimately my awesome realtor said they were just trying to strong arm us and there was nothing she could do. I am awaiting the "move-out" documents to which I am absolutely positive we will have the same experience as most and be blamed. We spent $700 to clean the home and they literally took photos of water spots in the sink and one drip on one cabinet. There was some damage to a bathroom sink that I found at Home Depot for $149. I will update this review with photos when we receive the documents. Avoid this place at all cost. They now have the home on the market for $400 more than we were paying. They promise owners the world and absolutely do not care about tenants. I am sad to read so many other similar reviews and know they continue to get away with it. We're a real family, with real kids, in school, during covid, life events, etc. we were not bad tenants. We informed them we were looking for a long-term tenancy. We were and are horrified at this company. I am so thankful we never have to deal with landlords ever again. I wouldn't recommend them to my enemy. read more

They lie in their adds about the property and do not inform tenants of hidden fees like parking or garden keeping. They say they will fix their property but fail to do so (in a timely fashion). I highly suggest running from this company... they are FARRRRR from dynamic, they should be dismantled. Update 3/7/2014!!! I was contacted by the CEO threatening me to take down my post for defamatory 2 years later. Yet, he failed to realize, this is my experience of how horrible I was treated and I went to court with Rec Rentals. Note: If you do not like my review, too bad. The people who work in this company are extremely unprofessional. We found a listing of a house for rent through a website and sent an email showing our interest. Nicole Carmona emailed me back on 12/21 (Friday) but we only responded on 12/22 (Saturday) which was already Christmas weekend so we were not expecting to hear back from them before 12/25 (after Christmas). On the morning before Christmas, we received an email from Kristin Leary who stated that Nicole gave her our information and that she would be showing the house that same day at 1 pm. She asked us if we would be interested in joining. We jumped on the chance since my husband and I were not working that day. I immediately emailed back saying we were interested and we would be there. Fast forward to 1 pm. No one showed up. I emailed Kristin letting her know that we were there. If she was late, fine. I'm sure there was traffic since it was the day before Christmas. Then half an hour passes. No one. She didn't respond to my email when I asked her if she was coming. One hour later, no one shows up so we leave. I emailed Nicole about our horrible experience thinking at least someone would be professional and mature enough to get back to us because despite what happened we were actually still quite interested in the house. But until now they have yet to contact us to even apologize. They are disgusting. It's a blessing in disguise because after no one got back to us, I checked their Yelp and there were many many negative remarks and comments about the management company. I'm pretty sure most of the 5 stars are fake. Don't work with them. read more

The people who work at this company are unprofessional. Especialy Rafela who is in charge with some properties like our property! Untrustable and disgusting company. Most of the commuications are via email and phone call! If you send email or call them nobody answer your email or call you back atleast for 3-4 days. Maintance resposes and quaility are disgusting! They only care about their rent. If you are renter and there is any problem at property and you request a maintenance, they send you a fake vendor's work order which nobody contact you for minimum 1-2 months. We did rent a house from Real Estate connection Compaqny in march 2019. The property was showed us as inspected property as follows; 1- Everything working properly. 2- New floor carpet 3- Everything is cleaned 4- New painted and more.... When we had lease with them and moved to house OMG !!! You can not believe! They decieved us ! 1- Inside the garage was not clean maybe for 5 years, wires are out of the wall dengeriously 2- Most lights not working 3- Diswasher smell very bad and can not clean the dishes 4- Hood make a noise and sometimes not working 5- Cooktop; two burners not working 6- Furnace make a huge noise 7- Back wall of the kitchen is dammaged and more 8- There is not any insollation on top of the bedrooms and hallway which cause to be very hot at summer and very cold at winter and more... 9- Several outlet receptacles were broken 10- Widows screens were out of the windows But we did not have time to find another house and they promised us to do everything as soon as possible. But........!!!!???? Their maintenace inquiries some are as folows, 1- Cooktop was replaced after 16 months 2- Furnace is not repair yet 3- Hood is not replaced 4- Kitchen back wall not repaired 5- Dishwasher is not repaired or replaced 6- Insollation is not provided. Also if you hired a company for those issues, and pay then they will not not pay you! You have to wait several months for their digusting managment and maintenance... Unfortunately this company does not deserve any star byr i have to do one!!! AVOID THEM! I wish I could give them -5 stars. I rented my property through REC Rentals. They are just collect the rent for you and "remotely" manage the property. This kind of very hands-off "property management" may be common as they take on very large number of properties per manager. But in my case, they were negligent! Even after pointed reminders that I hired them to manage the property as I can not be around to look after it time-to-time! The person assigned to my property didn't visit it when needed. He did not know that the tenants, at some point of time, were housing more individuals than permitted in the lease. In many cases the repair persons (handyman / plumbers / electricians) were dispatched but he never bothered to check in and see whether the repairs were complete to the satisfaction. Never a picture of any damage or subsequent repair. It was a very frustrating experience for the tenants too to deal with them. The person was not responsive enough. Few month into the lease and contract, there were significant water leakages from laundry and a bathroom. I was out of the country. The tenants called the person but he didn't show up according to the tenants. He informed me that he wasn't aware of the leaks until late. I asked to visit the property and report on the damages. Nothing came through except some second hand information that he sourced through the HOA manager. I came back after a few weeks and visited the place. And that's the first time after the leaks this gentleman showed up! Unfortunately few months later a similar incident happened. This time too I was not around and this person didn't visit until after I came back and I asked him to meet me at the property. I was quite worried about the damage while I was away and I had texted him to report on them. But like the previous time, he relied on someone else to do his job and didn't bother to address my requests on this important issue with any sense of urgency. In handling the aftermath of the incident, I felt like they were not much concerned with me or the property I trusted them with. Ideally a property manager you hire would make protecting your and your property's interest their highest priority. But sadly it was not the case with REC - consistently. They weren't around when I needed them the most. Absolutely not worth the 8% or so they charge on the for the property mismanagement. read more

*Reviewing as a renter* Our property manager Marty is awesome!! When we first got accepted for our rental unit, we had been working with another person from REC. I forget exactly what happened but it was a couple days before our expected move-in date and there was a lot that needed to be done in the unit and the original person had left the company... so we were handed off to Marty. However, Marty called me that day and told me what was going on. He assured me he was going to do everything he could (even if it meant cleaning the unit himself!) to get us in our unit on time. Sure enough, he had our keys handed over to us a day early! The unit was so fresh and clean - it was perfect. Over the past two years this has consistently been his attitude/demeanor and we are so grateful for it. He is attentive to our questions and needs. He has even replied to me over a holiday weekend! He always makes sure information I need is forwarded to me. His professionalism, communication, everything is truly 10 out of 10. As for application process/paying rent, I love how convenient it is online. When we were applying, everything is very clear- you know exactly what you are signing and it is always available on their portal to reference should you have any questions. Their portal is very user-friendly. To put it simply: if our landlords ever wanted their property back, I would definitely work with REC to find a new rental unit they manage. read more

Now that my husband and I have been homeowners 3 times over, we were reminding each other of the worst places we lived when we were in college for a laugh. Mine was with Rec Rentals (aka Real Estate Connections). By far the worst company I ever worked with. Dianne is incredibly rude and could not care less about professionalism. I still cannot believe that when I moved out of the condo I had rented for 2 years during college, Dianne asked me (with a condescending laugh) if I was going to have to move in with my parents. No, Dianne. Just no. Don't bully or make fun of people just because they rented for a period of time. You work for a management company and you do not own the properties you manage. Also, don't make fun of millennials excited to move on with their lives simply because they are young. To those looking to rent from this management company: don't rent from this awful company. You will regret it. To those looking for a management company: be aware that Dianne and others there are unprofessional and will make your tenants unhappy. This is my experience as someone who was trying to rent a house managed by REC. We saw a property advertised on Craigslist/Zillow/Trulia at $4000, which was above our price range. A few weeks later, the price dropped to $3750 so we decided to visit. We scheduled a visit on a Saturday, saw the house, and applied on the same day. On Monday, without hearing back, we called the office. We were told they were going to look into the applications. On Wednesday, we called again, only to be told there was an application missing for the other adult (my wife). We went to REC's website, saw the listing again, and sent the application on the same day. On Friday, without any news, we called again, and got evasive answers. The weekend passed (and Monday was a holiday), but on Tuesday we got an email saying our application was approved. Yay! Good news. We agreed to go to the office on Thursday to sign the lease and bring the security deposit. Still on Tuesday, we decided to look at the pictures on the website, only to see the price back to $4000. On Wednesday morning, I got a call from REC asking to confirm the time we were going to sign the lease on Thursday, and I mentioned how the price changed from $3750 to $4000 the night before. The person I was talking to confirmed the price was really $4000, and the previous lower price was probably a glitch. Surreal! I gave them the same timeline I wrote above but they refused to acknowledge the price was ever $3750. One unnoticed temporary glitch might be fine, but in our case both me and my wife saw the lower price in a span of weeks and even applied on different dates. Don't they have records showing changes in the listing or when people apply? I should have taken a clue when REC took 9 days to get back about my application. I had a bad experience overall and we're actually feeling relieved to have avoided dealing further with them. read more

I rented a place from Real Estate Connections about two months ago. Although I started dealing with an unprofessional and dishonest team from the beginning of my lease, I was not going to write a review about them. Today, they easily ignored an emergency situation in my place and left me speechless about their level of ignorance and unprofessionalism. I noticed there was not many recent reviews about REC. therefore, with the sole intention of helping people to make a correct decision when looking for a place, I am writing this review. I hope you find it helpful. So, first of all here is the name of the team who are managing this property: Nicole Carmona, Ilse Aguilera, and Priscilla Geraci. So, everything I am writing here is based on my experience with these three people. Priscilla was the one who showed me the house. She hide the fact that this house had variety of insects including spiders and the little monster "silverfish"! Despite the fact that I explicitly asked if the house had any insect issues (because I have asthma and these sort of insects would be dangerous for my breathing problems) she said NO, nothing at all! Then, one day after I moved in and started cleaning the cabinets, I noticed silverfish packs all inside the cabinets confirming that they already knew the house had that issue and they lied to me. And yes, the house was messy and dirty enough which required deep cleaning before I even tried to unpack my stuff. After I notified them, it took more than a week to respond and finally they agreed to sent a pest control company to spray the house. One month ago, I contacted them about two issues: dishwasher in the kitchen with leaks, and washer/dryer machines leaks. No one reached out to resolve the issue. I just decided to stop using the dishwasher. I used the washer/dryer one more time. The washer hose leaked again but it was fine after half an hour. Until last week that the leak wouldn't stop and in fact it got worse over time. I called them and begged to send somebody to help. Today, an old hose (which was supposed to be fixed based on the lease contract agreement right after we moved in) started leaking water from a sink in the bath on the second floor and in just one minute the ceiling lamps in the kitchen on the first floor started pouring water. I requested a maintenance, called Ilse and Nicole (as the property manager) and the main office and desperately asked for help. Finally, after 45 minutes Nicole called me and said "shut the main water off (I already had done) and let me find somebody to send over and check the situation, I will call you back." It's been two hours since and no one called. The office is closed, and since the team work as secret service members, there is no phone number that I can call. Everytime they call there is no caller ID shown on the phone. I am wiring this to ask you people, please respect yourself, respect your time and money, and do not let unprofessional and dishonest people like keep profiting from you and get a long with it. As a citizen, it was my responsibility to provide honest feedback and let you know what is going on here. If you happen to like one of the properties under this management, please beware that there are lots of similar properties for you to rent with a more professional team willing to do what they have promised you in the first place. Always look at the dates of the reviews; the fact that a business has received good reviews in old days, doesn't confirm they are still doing great. Best of Luck! read more

This company took pretty good care of my property overall. If you ever want to live in your property again - be prepared to have the tenants treat it harshly. REC took good care of the tenants and collecting the rent and all the paperwork. In-between tenants - they didn't do thorough or accurate walk-throughs after tenants moved out, so we couldn't tell later on which tenants broke what. All the little broken things ended up being attributed to "normal wear and tear" - meaning I, the owner, had to pay to repair. The shower head was gone. The ladder to get into the attic was gone. All the window covereing were broken in some way. Broken window panes. I ended up paying for broken appliances, plumbing parts, wall switches, gobs of holes in the walls and wood, etc. If you love your property - you need to do the inspections yourself. There's no way a property management company with hundreds of individual houses can keep up with all the details. Marty Gillum came along later in my dealings with REC, and is one of the best property managers I've ever known. He's diligent and thorough. He tooks care of details and got back to me very quickly. He's was available via email and phone, and communicates well in writing. He's personable, and understands the business inside and out. He has great contacts- I've used his plumber, electrician, HVAC company and architect. Marty also communicated well with my tenant. He does what he says, and that's so great to find in this busy world. I highly recommend Marty as any property owner's personal property manager. read more

While vewing the property we discussed a tenative date for move should we agree to become tenant + landlord. She actually tried to force this date on me during signing as if we made a contracted date. Upon move in the place was FIlthy at best it took 3 days with me my BF & 2 teens to get in in decent shape. I lived 2 weeks with no stove, opeaarble phone line, ~ Just got the locks secure last week and now the patio door has fallen off... I wouldnt recommend this place for renting and Def not for purchasing a role of toilet paper I have yet to recieve any type of apology or even word from the property manager except when she tried to use her chastising voice for calling DADDY AKA the president of the company I love the location but feel like I am dealing with my enemy and not a businees deal... This review is primarily for Marty Gillum who is the person I have interfaced with at REC. We needed a property management agency to rent out our SJ townhouse and I contacted REC after searching through options on Yelp. Marty was very responsive to my requests for information and took his time to come over, tour our place, and explain all of the paperwork to us. He treated both my husband and me respectfully, answered our questions, and got back with us later if there was something he didn't know on the spot. REC put up a rental ad on Craigslist which was wonderful. Honestly I think the ad itself could have been done much better (more accurate description, more photos, link to the actual listing on their website instead of the REC homepage), but in this market it was good enough. Our place was rented within a week and Marty took care of all of the paperwork. He called to check in a few weeks after the tenants moved in to keep us informed. Since then we receive our rental money through automatic deposit and monthly statements arrive via email. So far everything has run very smoothly and I feel like our property is in good hands. I am very glad that I don't need to worry about this aspect of life because REC has it taken care of. read more

The house was lovely and we could tell that there had been several additional remodels even after the house was shown to us (new bathrooms and tile looked great). We did not have trouble reaching someone when we had a question and I was delighted that Diane and team would correspond via email, definitely a plus in my book. I rented an apartment with 2 friends for about 2 years from Real Estate Connections. We always paid rent on time and never caused any trouble. I even fixed the bathroom sink drainage myself. Upon move out time, they called and asked US to take time out of our day to show the apartment for them! No gratitude was given. We were also told (my bad for not getting in writing, last time I make that mistake) to not have the carpet cleaned and to not worry about a few broken bathroom fixtures (screwed into drywall? Lol). They kept this portion of the deposit and charged us for cleaning the carpet AND general cleaning. We spent about $300 on a move out clean, so we wanted to ask them to take the general cleaning off of the deposit deductions. Upon calling several times over a month and getting only the front desk lady we gave up. The rule of thumb here is that they will bug you daily if they want something from you, but you will never be able to get a hold of them if you need something from them. I'm putting my last month in escrow from now on thanks to these people. Don't get involved with them! read more

I rented a house with some friends, and we put down a sizable security deposit. When we moved in, the house was pretty dirty and the initial walkthrough done by Diane was obviously done in haste because it was not accurate at all. When my roommate even handed in the copy of our walkthrough, he asked the girl at the desk if the walkthrough was even done, and she said "probably not". When we were moving out, we cleaned the house inside and out, and to be honest with you, it looked better on move-out day than it did on move-in day. However, they still charged us an indoor cleaning fee of a few hundred bucks, despite the fact that the "cleaners" could not have possibly spent more than an hour in there. In addition, we were billed almost $400 for painting charges. The painting invoice was itemized and we basically got charged for a $20 touch up on every single room in the house. Also, there was almost $100 worth of paint that we were charged for. I am pretty sure California rental codes say that painting is an everyday expense that is covered by the landlord and not by the tenant. Regardless, I guarantee those "touch ups" were nothing more than a swipe of paint here or there...definitely not worth $20 and definitely not needed in every single room. When all was said and done, we were basically charged $1,000 (carpet cleaning too) for charges that should mostly be covered by the homeowners in preparation for new tenants. I am forced to assume that those cleaners and painters were just making up charges because they knew they'd get paid no matter what. I didn't even try to argue the charges because getting in touch with anyone at REC is such a hassle. Even when we did get a response, it was usually to say "I don't know, let me check and I'll get back to you." Sure enough, we usually never heard a response. The reason I am giving them two stars is because I will give them credit for getting us into the house so easily and quickly. The application process was surprisingly simple and Diane (the agent we met) seemed super nice when we first met her. At no point did she or any of her associates cop a bad attitude with us - in fact, I will say that everyone we dealt with at REC was pretty darn nice. It wasn't until the move-out process began that things started falling apart. As a result, there's no doubt that I will pass on doing business with REC in the future. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. We moved into to a home that had a sink and a shower that did not drain, a toilet that did not flush, numerous outlets and phone jacks inoperable, two stove burners that did not light, windows that did not latch and much more! And those are just the functional problems. There were numerous aesthetic things wrong that it was just difficult to see on the 5 minute tour we took of the property with the previous tenants present and moving about from room to room. I can't say for sure if it was cleaned or not, it looked clean but we remove shoes inside the home and our socks and feet turning black until I was able to get enough boxes unpacked and out and find time to clean all of the floors myself. The property manager herself had done the pre-move in inspection. She was very unresponsive when we immediately called to tell her of the numerous serious problems upon move-in, as in she was not acknowledging our messages, or her assistant may on occasion answer the phone but just receive them and not give us any 'action' feedback so we would know they were working on sending someone out to fix the problem, or they were getting owner approval. Just no information at all. We felt very ignored. So we began to call several times per day. These were serious we-cannot-live-like-this-problems, and not just pointing out they didn't paint as promised. When I finally received a return call it was to admonish me and call names. Yes, seriously. I felt like I was talking to a teenager having a tantrum and not a real estate professional. That was Week One. Like another reviewer said, renting from Real Estate Connection was like a nightmare come true. It got to the point that I began to have great sympathy for the absentee homeowners who had entrusted their property to REC for years. In addition to all the problems we were continuing to encounter while living in this property, we informed them repeatedly of serious structural issues, that didn't affect US, but were reported out of care for the property, and we were completely ignored. Just one example, out of several, would be that I reported signs of an active termite infestation on more than one occasion and received no response nor was any action taken. The property was quickly flipped back on the rental market after we left, so I suspect no repairs were done to ready for the next tenants. If you read the reviews of REC, it really seems like a mixed bag depending upon which member of the family you are dealing with. The one positive is the people they have contracted for service were nice and professional, which is good since I had to see them so often. Though it was often a "can I come over in an hour" situation, which works for me as an at-home parent, but I would think trying to schedule as many repairs as we needed around a work-week would have been lengthy and difficult. I would not rent from them again if the house was FREE. I felt like we were nothing more than a burden to REC. I believe a property manager should work to serve both the homeowner and the tenant. A happy tenant is going to take better care of your property and not want to leave so often, in turn saving the homeowner money. read more

My experience with this company has been a-ok. My roommate and I were in a very tight spot. We were renting a room out of a house that got foreclosed, but our landlord didn't let us know until 20 days before we had to move out. Crunching for time, we desperately searched for places in the San Jose area. When we thought all hope was lost, we found a cheap apartment off of Craigslist with this company. We gave them a call, set up an appointment, and were able to see the place within a couple days. My first impression of the complex was that it was simple and plain, but that's just the way I wanted it. There were new carpets, new paint, and the whole thing was clean. It was a very old school style apartment, however, because there's an ironing board in the kitchen (throwback to Leave it to Beaver). No matter, though. A place is a place. The realtor, Diane Burgos, was very friendly and accommodating. She was ready to have us move in ASAP, but I told her that I couldn't come up with the security deposit until April 1st. She struck a deal with us and said that if we could pay half of the deposit now and the other half when we moved in, we would be guaranteed the apartment. We agreed and were able to move in without a hitch. The only thing I didn't like about my experience with this company is that they're very hard to get ahold of via phone. Jessica and Diane, my appointed realtors, are always out of the office. They gave us a broken mail key and I have been calling and leaving messages daily since I've moved in and still have not received any answer. I had to go to the post office myself and retrieve my key, which isn't too much of a hassle considering how close I live to the post office, but it would have been nice to see a little bit more effort on their part to help us out. I mean, mail is IMPORTANT. We have BILLS to pay. And we haven't gotten our mail in TWO WEEKS. We won't get it for another 10 days because that's how long it takes to get your mail key in Downtown San Jose, apparently. Overall, though.. friendly staff, accommodating realtors, and good location. I would recommend this company to students that are looking for cheap apartments downtown, or equal housing opportunity/section 8 people. read more

After moving to CA, we decided to rent for a year to learn the area before buying a house. We didn't know where to turn for a realtor but found Mike through a friend. He was awesome! We had one meeting to tell him what we were looking for (and like most people, changed that a million times during the process) and he would just weed through properties and only send us the ones that met our criteria. We would also go to lots of open houses and then send him links to the ones that we thought were interesting. Weekly, we go visit the ones he found us combined with the ones we like in the open houses. He was brutally honest, which is what we most appreciated. He would tell us the houses we shouldn't even consider because they would be very hard to resale or because the amount of renovations it would cost to get it to what we wanted would really never be recoverable in a sale. He really helped us look at this purchase as an investment, and not just a place to live, which really helped up have a different perspective. When it came to the offer, he was a pit bull -- in the EXACT way a buyer wants their agent to be. We had a price ceiling and he knew the exact strategy to get us to that number -- including having all sort of facts on hand about the other houses in the area (that sold significantly higher that our offer over the past few years) for when the sellers agent came back with counter offers. In the end, we were able to get under our target. I would highly recommend Mike to ANYONE looking to buy on the peninsula or south bay. He is responsive and flexible (this entire deal went down while i was in Germany having to fax signed papers back and forth) and he works in the buyers best interest. read more

Great company! I tried for weeks to rent out two rental properties I had with no success. Real Estate Connections is a very honest company. As a renter for the past 8 years I've dealt with a lot of different landlords and property managers. REC is by far the best! They are prompt with their replys and they do what they say they're going to do, when they say they'll do it! My favorite part is that they always cash rent checks when you give it to them. At my last apartment the manager sat on checks for up to 6 weeks!! When I pay rent I want to pay it, not have it sit in my bank account for weeks on end. I have been renting a property from real estate connections for over a year. My landlord is Diane Burgos and she is just the sweetest landlord one can have. Every time I call the office or pay my rent she is so chipper and friendly. I love my apartment and everybody in the office is always so helpful. They promptly return calls and take care of any problems at the property immediately. I am happy with my landlord and wouldn't move until I'm ready to buy my own house or get married or the apartment next door comes for rent again. they manage that as well and all the people in that building are so nice and I would like my own backyard. =) Thank You REC! I've rented from REC for 10 years and love them. they are always understanding, reasonable and nice to deal with. when I have a repair that needs to be done, it's done quickly, usually the same or next day. the yard is professionally maintained and lovely. Property manager is a very rude & uncooperative person. She charged ridiculous amounts for house cleaning after move out as if she had hired a PhD for the cleaning. She runs a scam along with the cleaning agencies. Same story with their office assistant. Very rude & doesn't try to help at all. They don't have an ounce of humanity. They seek every opportunity to grab your money. They not only ignore reasonable requests, but go out of their way to piss you off. I'd say everyone at their office is unreasonable and inhuman. read more
