Real Hot Yoga was just becoming my new favorite thing when Hoboken went into lockdown. It was a crazy big bummer because I was nearing the end of my first month with them and was really loving it. I am in no way a yogi and felt that jumping right into hot yoga would leave me embarrassed and probably injured, but instead I left every class feeling amazing! Seriously one of the things I miss the most from the past life that was BC (Before Covid). I had several different instructors as I never really went at the same time of the day and they were all wonderful and led different classes. They all gave variations of flows for different levels, so you'd never just have to go to child's pose if you weren't ready to do something too advanced. I also always felt like the room was really clean and the perfect temperature. You will sweat A LOT obviously and that is what I loved. They have mat and towels available for rent if you need one but they are free to use on your first class. For your first month it is only $45 (something like that) but I was already committed to paying full price and continuing afterwards. One more note of gratitude: They immediately paused payments when they went into lockdown, unlike many other gyms. I really appreciated not having to make another call to cancel something. However, they host daily online classes for those that would like to continue payments. All around an amazing studio. I can't wait to return! read more

I went to my first class last week and I really enjoyed it! The instructor was awesome and so educated. She helped when a move was hard or challenging. I loved that at the end they laid eucalyptus towels on our heads. I did the new member deal and will be going all month! Can't wait ! read more

This place is my jam, peanut butter and bread!! The staff here is great! They're so welcoming and friendly. So are all the teachers. I don't think I've had a teacher yet that I don't like and I've been going about 2-4 times a week for the past 3 months. My favorite teachers are the ones that make jokes in class. James & Jessi are particularly entertaining. But every teacher is great and none of them put pressure on you to push harder, they're all very relaxed. But I guess that just comes with being a yoga instructor. I used to do Bikram yoga because those were the only studios that offered hot rooms. It was SO boring. Always the same exact routine and poses for every class. Here, you get different experiences from each teacher and some classes are 60 minutes, some are 75. The hot tone & sculpt class with Barbara is pretty intense, but totally awesome. It's less like a yoga class and more like an aerobics class. This is one of the many reasons I love Real Hot Yoga. I can take all kinds of different styles in the hot room. I'd love to see them add more classes to the roster, but I'm sure that will come with time. Also, if you drive there like I do, parking can sometimes be a b*tch. There's a couple of streets off of 15th that you can park on that a lot of people tend to overlook. Clinton, Grand & Adams, all to the right side of 15th are pretty easy for parking. read more

I've gone to the gym for years, gotten personal training, done bootcamps...and Real Hot Yoga is unlike anything I've ever tried. Nobody yelling at me to do one more rep, no guy on a mic yelling about the "hill we are approaching", and absolutely no way to be lazy. Previous experiences with Yoga have been quiet, calming, and stretchy, and I never really associated it with a full workout, until now. Hot Yoga is one of the best workouts i've ever had. It's amazing how much I can sweat in one session. I leave disgustingly soaked, head to toe...and it feels great! My Apple watch is probably wondering what I am doing; even on the most basic "other" setting, i'm burning 600+ calories a class. That's a lot of calories to burn without going near an elliptical. I'm nowhere close to an experienced Yogi, but that doesn't matter here. The staff is super friendly and very supportive; they make an effort to remember everyone's name and give you a shoutout or two during class when you are nailing a pose, and gently (and silently) correct you if you are a little off. If you can't do something (like stand on your head), no worries - there is always an alternative, less intense pose that will help you work up to it. Even after only 5 or 6 classes under my belt, i'm much more confident walking in, knowing I probably won't be able to do everything, but I'll definitely do better than I did last time. The studio itself is nicely ventilated; even through everyone in there is disgustingly sweaty, it never smells bad, and the windows (with nice NYC views) never fog up. There is parking close by and it's basically on top of the Biergarten, convenient for a post-Yoga (drink water first) beer. For class - bring a lot of water. Well, bring what you consider a lot of water, and then bring some more. They have mats and towels to rent if you need them, and plenty of room to store your stuff during the class. Classes are never really full (which I really appreciate) so there is usually plenty of room between mats. The schedule is pretty accommodating, so even if you get out of work late you'll probably be able to make it to an 8:15pm class. Saturday at Noon is my go-to, it's a good reason to sleep in late (but not too late) and get exercise done early. You will sweat, and you will leave feeling more relaxed, more centered, and ready for the rest of your day - after a shower. I signed up for the $45 unlimited for 30 days, and will very likely sign up for a plan after this expires. I can already see a difference - waist, stomach, and chest. No reason to supplement with a gym membership, because this is definitely one of the best workouts you can get. read more

I have been a workout junkie for years. I have done bootcamps and dance classes as well as my own structured gym workouts. I even gave running a try but nothing seemed to be working physically or mentally for me. In a last ditch effort to shed some weight 4 months before my wedding, my fiance and I decided to try hot yoga. He has been into yoga for ages but I was always a cynic. On a whim I found Real Hot Yoga and signed us up for their intro month deal. After the first week, I am completely hooked. I love the variety of classes and love exploring what kind works the best for me. Now there is nothing I love more than to sit in that hot, damp room and feel all the energy around me! The teachers are great, especially Sarah, she's definitely our favorite! As we come to the end of our first month intro, we are so ready to sign up for a year contract and make Real Hot a part of our every day! read more

Real Hot Yoga is my new favorite yoga studio! This studio is by far the cleanest yoga studio I have ever been to and the space itself is absolutely gorgeous with floor to ceiling windows and perfect views of midtown Manhattan. My favorite instructors are Sarah F, Angela R, Susan S, and Erica A...and I LOVE that I can catch all of them multiple times a week and guaranteed to leave me super sweaty from a power flow with great sequencing. The classes I've taken have been nice and hot too--about 98 degrees for most of the classes and on Thursdays the 530p class is a 105 degree Bikram style class. I come out soaked and feeling amazing. If you live or work in the Hoboken area, definitely try this studio! read more

an awesome place to practice with some great instructors.  I signed up for the introductory offer of $45 for 30 days which is beneficial in getting to try different classes/teachers.  I like the fact you can get a different workout based on the teacher and that they all aren't cookie cutter (Janel - crazy hard core focused class leaves your abs sore for days) (Katie L - tough bootcamp has you drenched after) (Sarah -great flow,killer music, inspiring)   Facility is in a new building and it has a very clean welcoming feel.  Staff is friendly and they are in the yoga room immediately after class cleaning up the puddles of sweat. Some class times are kinda close so you can hear the next wave of yogis in the lobby coming in during savasana.   Bonus: You can actually find parking near here!! read more

I loved reaching for the Empire State Building at Real Hot Yoga! So impressed by each and every instructor as I always took away something different from each one. I spent two months going to different classes at different times and I always felt a genuine connection as I embraced each instructors many different teaching styles and left that summer feeling like I really improved immensely on my yoga. The space is modern and very bright and sunny. They have a promotion for new students and provide mats and towels if you don't have your own. Love Real Hot Yoga! After years of practicing on and off, this is the studio that officially made me a "yogi". Keeping a steady practice here has helped me to manage pain from scoliosis and keep my asthma symptoms under control. Great yoga spot in Hoboken - the instructors are knowledgeable, sweet and light hearted. Very open atmosphere, with beautiful views of the city from the studio. Everyone at the front desk was super helpful for the first class, and you can't beat their current deal - $45 for the first month, for UNLIMITED yoga. Love this studio and the staff is great. Lots of options for classes. Morning classes and late evening classes available. They only offer 3 classes on Saturday, I do wish there were a few more. Alex, Dana, Meghan, Brendan...all excellent teachers. Some are harder than others but in a good way - they push you to challenge yourself. James playing guitar on Monday night is also a must go. Watch out for the Tone and Sculpt classes - I always leave sore! Great workout. read more

Was really missing my yoga practice when I moved I moved to uptown Hoboken last year until RHY opened in the fall. The studio is super clean, decorated beautifully, and has city skyline views - I love taking the early morning classes taught by Sarah and Leah and seeing the sun rise over Manhattan. Very friendly staff and clean studio, but just don't find that the room gets hot enough and it's supposed to be "Real" hot yoga. I have taken numerous classes at Powerflow and Surya and both locations I come out as though I just rinsed my clothes. When I leave Real Hot Yoga my clothes are damp from a mild sweat and my hair is practically still dry. The classes themselves are also not very challenging. I'm used to more of quicker transitions and poses that also build your stamina which I feel these classes lack. I really wish that the room was hotter and the classes were harder because the convenience and atmosphere of this studio truly outdo the rest. read more
