I learned an important lesson today: sometimes you should trust your first lunch instinct…read more A coworker suggested Greek, and my mind immediately went to Adriatic Grill. Instead, we decided to try somewhere new and headed to Pita Corner in Lawrenceville. I ordered the beef shawarma with falafel. Let's start with the positives. The restaurant was clean, the dining area was well kept, and the restroom was spotless. It looked like it had just been cleaned, which I always appreciate. Now for the food. The beef shawarma had decent flavor, but it was so dry that every bite felt like a workout. The meat clung to the roof of my mouth and my teeth like it had signed a lease there. No amount of chewing seemed to improve the experience. Texture matters just as much as seasoning, and unfortunately, this missed the mark. The falafel ended up being the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful, had a nice texture, and was easily the best thing on the plate. I always like giving new places a chance, but this one just wasn't for me. While I appreciated the cleanliness and friendly environment, the food simply didn't leave me wanting to come back. If you'd like, I can also make it a little sharper and funnier for Yelp while still keeping it professional and believable.

Awesome vibe and the owner clearly put a ton of money, care, love and passion into this place. It feels and looks so authentic. Food was delicious. I wish I remembered all the names, but ask for the appetizer with the filo dough and beef in it. Absolutely amazing. Apparently they are hand made by the owners wife everyday. We got the dinner entree for 2 which was plenty of food. We also tried the lamb entree since it was our first time. We have plenty of left overs for tomorrow which was the goal. The place was very clean, plenty of parking and the (normal) water they bring to the table is actually infused with stuff and very refreshing! Great spot for a date night or just getting some authentic food. Also great for pictures!

We've had a good number of the menu items: gyro platter, Greek pizza (our favorite), kofta kabob, adana kabob platter, stromboli, spanakopita, dolmades, baklava (both walnut and pistachio), chicken sumac...and probably others I'm forgetting. We order takeout most of the time. In addition to our main order (usually a large Greek pizza), we usually get a pound of the gyro meat, half-pint of tabouli, half-pint of hummus, spanakopita, and baklava. The service is unrivaled. The owners recognize us when we come in and remember our favorites, including the fact that my housemate can't eat bell peppers, so they know to leave it off the pizza. Can't say enough good things about it, honestly.

When I walked in there was a young guy cleaning the floor and he did not speak, didn't even look up from what he was doing. When I walked up to the counter where the menus were, a lady came out from the kitchen and greeted me. It took a few minutes to decide what I wanted because they have an extensive menu. I settled on the grounded lamb or lamb kabob, as she called it and a mixed nut roll. I waited about 15 minutes to get my food. There are plenty of seats and tables and a tv if you want to dine-in. I decided to eat my meal in the car. The lamb kabob was good but it wasn't as flavorful as I anticipated. It was missing some kind of spice and I couldn't figure out which one. It does not automatically come with the Greek sauce which was disappointing. The mixed nut roll was SO GOOD! It reminded me of an almond joy with a flakey crust. I will come back to try other menu items but I probably won't get the lamb kabob again.

Even after reviewing the menu online, the counter-ordering process can feel a bit overwhelming on your first visit, especially since the menu boards don't line up exactly with what's shown online. No worries, though--the staff is very helpful and happy to guide you through their many great options. My tablemates all enjoyed their selections, and I was very pleased with my Gyro Melt Combo. One thing that really stood out to me was how closely my meal matched the online promo photo--always a nice surprise. While I didn't try any desserts, the cakes and sweet treats on display definitely made me second-guess that decision. Looks like I have a good reason to come back.

A Taste of Europe in Lawrenceville, Georgia, blew me away--it felt like taking a trip right back across the Atlantic! My son and I visited recently, and from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was clean, friendly, and deeply inviting. The food was nothing short of absolutely delicious--true, authentic European flavors made with care and quality. What made the visit extra special was the incredible service. Our servers, Dominique and Kristina, were phenomenal. Even with a full house, these two young ladies maintained complete professionalism, warmth, and genuine smiles. They checked on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and ensured every dish was to our liking. Their dedication and hard work truly stood out. Everything about our experience was superb, and I wouldn't change a single thing. If you are looking for authentic European dishes paired with top-tier, caring service right here in Georgia, you must visit this restaurant. Thank you Dominique and Kristina for your outstanding hospitality! We will definitely be back.

The deli also manages good shawarma and the hummus is so delicious! I wish they were more generous with the side of it in the plate (was less than half full). The salad was tasteless; no salt/spices, nor dressing. A previous visit I purchased two cakes: one carrot and the other chocolate. The carrot cake didn't have any carrots in it (looked, but didn't taste like traditional carrot cake), and the chocolate cake wasn't good at all (bitter) except for the frosting. The 'espresso' based coffee was lukewarm and tasteless. The person put condensed milk in it which made it worse but he did remake it without charge. He kept calling me, mama, which was unsettling to me. I have a son less than half his age. I gave only 3 stars because of the overall ambiance and the discourtesy and unfriendliness of the staff. I didn't realize it, but nothing can be returned after two weeks; the manager, however, kindly did return three items.
