I brought this to the owner's attention and all I got was a sorry text. Worst part is I warned him one week prior that there was excessive nails that we've been picking up and he claims he came by and did another sweep. All they had to do was lay tarps or plastic down to prevent this. Or don't do the job so fast and be sloppy and just throw everything off the roof in every direction. Or maybe have the owner actually be on site when his workers are working and prevent situation situations like.

The person who came out to give us the estimate was great and got the quote back to me very quickly. The original price was more than I was expecting, so I asked if they could adjust the scope since we were willing to handle the old roof tear-off and wood work ourselves. They had no problem adjusting the quote and were very easy to work with. The crew showed up on time, was friendly and professional, and the owner and project manager both did a walkthrough with me, which I really appreciated. They also arranged for a porta potty to be delivered and picked up promptly once the job was finished. There were a few very minor things that needed to be addressed after the installation, and they came back the very next day and took care of everything. Months and months of excuses as to why he couldn't do it. At one point he created a long story about someone being sick in his family and if I couldn't front him $300 he promised his life he could come the next week to complete the job. However, I asked him to come again to trim a tree and take a few pictures of my roof that I needed for my homeowners insurance and that's when the problems began. When trimming the tree he accidentally knocked off and broke a few of my roof tiles and told me he would come again to replace the tiles. While waiting he asked that I pay him for the job so he can buy the tiles which I did. I waited for over 3 weeks of back and forth texts that state he will come for sure on certain days and never showed up repeatedly without communication. Furthermore, when I tried calling him he wouldn't answer. Aside from happily receiving payment and taking my money for an incomplete job I am now stuck finding someone else to complete this project. Additionally, when we asked if there was anything we could do about a few of our gutters being extra loud during the rain, he offered to come back to install some sponges that might dampen the sound of the rain hitting the gutters without blocking water flow.
