Best appliance repair experience I've ever had! Niko knowledgeably identified the issue, presented and explained options, and followed through to make sure the work was done right. We had him in for a fridge repair. He fully explained what was wrong and was transparent that the fix we needed would not restore the fridge to its original condition but would keep it going. He made the repairs, let us experience the fix in action, and offered to refund all but the consult fee if we chose to replace the fridge instead. Nicolay came out the same day I completed a yelp request for a quote. My dryer went out. At the time I called him, I didn't realize it was still under warranty. Nickolay let me know it needed a new circuit board. We paid him for the diagnosis and decided to proceed with a warranty repair. LG came out 3 separate times to repair the dryer. The LG tech kept insisting it was our dryer vent that was clogged leading to the overheating. We had the dryer vent cleaned even though it didn't need it yet. Then the LG tech insisted it was the "crushed" dryer vent hose (it was barely bent). After all these visits and the dryer dying again (4 times total), the LG tech finally came to the conclusion it needed a new circuit board. The same diagnosis Nickolay came to within an hour. Have you ever contacted a repair service and was given a window of 4-6 PM and ends up showing up closer to 6 PM? Well, this isn't one of those. Contacted Nick (Nikolay) yesterday because my washing machine was giving some noises in spin cycle. Nick texted and showed up at 4 PM promptly. Before he gets started, he explained what to expect and worst case scenario with possibly getting a new machine rather than replacing. I agreed and Nick went to work. After about 20 min, Nick explained what was causing the problem and that I shouldn't worry about it as the bearing will last ... the noise will just be a slight inconvenience and not worth trying to fix it. The machine will run just fine for years to come. While he was there, my wife asked if he would be able to clean the dryer vent as it has never been cleaned before for last 5+ years. After he opened up the dryer to clean, he noticed that one of the part is not working and would eventually cause the belt to break and the dryer to malfunction. Since the dryer was already opened up, he showed me the part that was not working (can't remember what the part is called). He explained why it was not working and what can happen if that is not replaced soon. He gave me a good price and I agreed to have it replaced. Overall, I am very happy with the service. Nikolay came to repair our dryer due to the heating element being burnt out. I called him around 9 a.m. and he arrived within 20 minutes of the phone call ending. I was expecting some service fee to just examine the issue but he just gave me an estimate before he started working. He finished dismantling the dryer within 15 minutes and showed me the issue with the heating element. He was honest and explained everything was fine and was able to replace the exact part. Nikolay would have been done even sooner if I did not bug him with questions about the dryer. He was more than happy to teach me. A+ work done within 1 hour of me calling him. My front loading whirlpool washer had an F20 error while I was running a cycle. I panicked, and after googling the code, decided to call Niko. He answered my call and after I explained what was happening, he gave me instructions to try to self-fix/troubleshoot the issue if I wanted to see if it could be resolved without me needing to pay for service. I did the checks he said, and all seemed fine. So I ran another cycle on the washer and this time all was working fine.
