Kfir was amazing to work with! I was in a little panic when I had lost my keys whilst roaming around the busy Valley Fair Mall with my baby and Mom on a crazily hot day, but I had my key in no time! Kfir got straight to work and helped us get into my truck. He even told me to wait in the mall where the AC was blasting just so we wouldn't have to wait out in the summer heat, The second time I called was because my alarm kept going off when I was pressing my key fob to lock. I needed 2 backup electronic key fobs with hard keys for my Maserati Quattroporte. I called a few places and no one had the equipment needed for the job except Kfir at Real Time Locksmith. I took the car and existing fob, and he said he would call me when done. He worked on it it for more than 3 hours, Maseratis can be fussy, and got the job done for me. Never get your car key fob from the dealership!! I needed an extra car key fob and Hyundai quoted me $500! Real Time Locksmith happened to be available immediately after I called on a Monday almost evening time, and he charged me just 35% of what Hyundai quoted me. It was easy and quick. He also has a store in Campbell which I will utilize. Definitely recommend! read more

From the time I called real time locksmith, it was 30 minutes till he got to my house and had it done in under five. Saved me a bunch of time and also gave me a better price than the five previous locksmiths I had called. I bought a spare key to upgrade my Toyota Corolla key to one of those regular flip remote key, so it'll stop jabbing me in the freakin thigh when I try to put it in my pockets and easier to fit into my smaller bags. I then needed it to be cut and programmed. Best places are always word of mouth so upon asking the people I knew, "hey, do you know any good locksmiths?" I was actually recommended First Bay Locksmith (lol bet you thought I was gonna say Real Time Locksmith). Unfortunately, First Bay had stopped working on vehicles. Instead, Ben recommended Kfir of Real Time Locksmith for me. Kfir had answered my calls/texts and questions promptly and had agreed to cut my key the same day after I get off work. I offered to drive to his shop since the time I get off work varies from 4:30-7pm. We ended up meeting half way from his shop and my work around 6p. During my inquiry I was quoted at $100 for cut and programming, but upon meeting for the services it was discovered that the shop I bought the key from didn't put the chip of the key into the actual key- I received the chip separately. Kfir ended up telling me he'll have to charge me extra because now it requires him to do extra work to open up my key to insert the chip. I agreed and said it was fine (because fair, extra work = extra money. Also, if I say no then this would've just been a waste of both of our time and it had been a long ass fuckin day at work. I just wanted to get home.) I was also told he couldn't insure my key because he wasn't the one providing it. (Okay, makes sense.) He seemed a little grumpy, but he noticed and apologized. Kfir and I started chatting a little while he worked and overall, he was friendly enough. He's a new dad! Congrats! All together it was fairly painless and took maybe 15 mins for my key to be finished. read more

RUN AWAY DO NOT DO IT. No refund, refused to reprogram my car key, and managed to bring up a bunch of race stuff (unprompted too). Other people had mentioned that a non-programmed key will drain your car battery via the alternator (AC/DC inverter, easy to look up). He did not reprogram my key. He then consistently refused to check the interactions between the key and avionics, despite all evidence to the contrary. Then when my friend calls, he decides to try to cuss us out via speaker phone and never answers the questions provided. Truly a class act in bad news. Horrible value and service. read more

MY HERO I had my purse stollen over the weekend with my key inside. I went to the dealership. They said it would take anywhere from 7 to 10 business days and it would be $500. Kfir is the best locksmith I could find. The only person who could copy my key fob for me and program it to my car. I went to several hardware stores that advertised key fob copying. I also went to another really good locksmith and nobody could do it. he did it fast. It works very well, he also found out the pin number for my car and gave it. Kfir is awesome!!! My boyfriends 1999 Pontiac fob stopped working and the key for the ignition is not the same key for the door. We had an incident a year someone broke into the door of the car and we couldn't afford to get the entire door rekeyed. We called Real Time Locksmith at 10:30am and they were within 25 mins! Truly first class. Not only did he get the door open for us in 2 mins he also helped us get the fob working. This was all under 12 mins. Before I buckled my 2.5 year old in his car seat, I placed the keys in his cup holder. At some point while buckling him, the doors auto-locked. I did not realize that happened until after I closed the door -- unfortunately, with the keys still in the cup holder. As you can imagine, I panicked. Luckily, the van was parked in a partially shaded spot. However, the sun was shining through the windshield. I imagined the interior slowly heating up. A quick 2-minute phone call and an appointment was scheduled for 2 days later. Dru, the technician, was highly professional and texted me when he was on his way for the repair. He took the time to walk me through the issue, why it happened, and what his fix will be. About 45 minutes later and my garage door was working as good as new. The price was surprisingly low compared to what I expected based on google search (probably $50 - $150 less than others). Normally I rate a business highly if they successfully meet 2 of 3 following criteria: Price, Quality, and Speed. Dru and KJ's successfully met all 3 of these criteria. They were fast, cheap, and did a great job which probably tells me they can raise their prices 10-20% and still make folks very happy. Nice job KJ'S Garage and Dru. I won't hesitate to recommend you to all my friends.
