I've never experienced this at another dog daycare before! I was elated that all dogs were not crammed together and had space, along with the trainers being close by. My German Shepherd Husky mixes have loved learning all that Paige and team have put in front (more like to the side ) of them. Their controlled walking has been a night and day difference, especially when there are other distractions around. We've continued to work on everything that we have learned; heel, sit, place, and come. Today I took my dog to be groomed and get a summer cut....I told the girl who took him back, "do…read morenot cut his ears length" she nodded ok, A couple of hours later I received a call "I am so sorry I did not see the note regarding Charlie's ears" of course they are extremely short; this is a shiatzu; I would think a dog groomer would know not to do that. common sense....of course I flipped out when I got him. They were waiting for me to keep apologizing however when someone messes up your dog, there is no apology that will work, you are furious which I was. Did I flip out? Yes.....more than I would any other time, after hair grows back. The comments from the groomer were what really set me off see below 'the jokes on you....I've groomed ur dog before and you loved it" "like I said I'm sorry.... lol....okay maam These were her responses to me, verbatim. So for me to be extremely angry when I picked him up is an understatement. Now they will come back and say, I was outraged.....I was....I used profanity.......absolutely mainly because they could care less that I was extremely upset over the exact thing I had asked the not to do. I guess at the end of the day I should have known better to take him to a groomer I did not have any history with. Very Disheartening…read more As a business located in Franklinton, Ohio, Play Pets management should be incredibly saddened. This morning I stopped in their empty parking lot for 1 minute to pack a bag and give a local homeless women socks, toothpaste, and other essentials. When I left my vehicle to deliver the bag I was immediately confronted by a staff member yelling that I couldn't park there. I acknowledged his concern and reassured him I would be back in 30 seconds tops. Nonetheless he continued to yell and threaten to tow me. Making the situation more absurd, after a minute of nonsense back and forth, I apologized and agreed to move my car 50ft to the next door gas station. I proceeded to deliver the bag to homeless women in 30 seconds. I am sure this is not the brand image and empathy a local business wants to portray, but it's only fair the community know what type of people are taking care of their loved pets.

We had a typical dog incident; during that process, the owners and staff were incredible (as always)! They show respect, authenticity, action, and follow-through. This daycare is great because there aren't shared toys and extra items that often help spread normal canine viruses, etc. The concern about Kennel cough can happen with any dog anywhere because the vaccines are not 100% effective on all strings of viruses, but I will say that this daycare takes extra measures by not having shared toys that can increase this risk.

They always come home happily exhausted from the fun they've had. I also use them for boarding and have been very happy. I love that PAD is cage-free, and that Sophie and Oliver can stay together in a nice, spacious room with their own beds, blankets, and toys. The boarding cost is all-in and includes daycare so by the end of the day, the pups are worn out and ready for sleep making the "boarding" less stressful for them. I can't imagine going back to boarding where they are cooped up 24x7 except for a couple of walks each day. The team responds quickly to messages requesting updates during boarding, which is very much appreciated, and they go out of their way to post pics on Instagram so I can see Soph & Oliver while I'm away (see pics below). I do pay a few bucks extra for exit baths when they board, but it's well worth it after a week of playing ALL day. They come home fluffy, clean, and very happy after their "vacation." If you're looking for daycare or boarding, owned and staffed by dog lovers, definitely check out Play All Day. I have a daycare/boarding facility less than five minutes from my home, but I feel strongly enough about PAD that I'm happy to drive the extra 20 minutes to get there.

They gave her meds without issues, took care to make sure she ate, and loved on her. I chose the adventure package to ensure she would have all the time out and about as she could and that included getting a picture of her each day. When I tell you that I could see in my girl's eyes that she was so much happier there, I mean it. Their care, attention to detail, and just overall quality of experience is worth every penny. Depending on which class and time of year it is, they will teach at either location.** It wasn't too long ago that I decided to finally take the plunge and buy a puppy like I've been dying to do for a while now. It took one weekend to realize that I needed to do some basic training ASAP or I was going to have a mental breakdown. When he reached the appropriate age, I took him to puppy kindergarten at a local training club and learned some very basic training techniques. The problem though, was I felt the instructors didn't really seem as knowledgeable about training a dog as I had hoped. Also, their solutions to some of his annoying behaviors such as mouthing seemed detrimental and rough. When the pup graduated, I wanted to continue his training, but this time I wanted to try a more professional trainer and see how he reacted. This is where Civil Obedience training came into play. It was recommended to me by my vet and they teach using only a positive reinforcement approach to training, first utilizing "clickers" to help the dogs recognize they did something correctly. I could tell after our first class with Amy (the trainer) that she worked very well with my dog and he responded beautifully. She also gives off a very approachable but professional vibe and gladly answers email questions in between classes. As with most dog training classes, most of the time is dedicated to showing you, as an owner, how to conduct training at home, and this class is no different from those. The big differentiating factor, is that they keep the classes small (6-7 dogs), which allows Amy to spend time with each owner and their furry child. She normally demonstrates how to do something correctly, incorrectly, and then has everyone try it, while she walks around the room making sure everyone performs correctly and has time to ask questions. I liked the basic obedience class so much that I recently started the advanced obedience training to further my skills. There are a couple things I find disappointing with the basic obedience class, but not enough to knock my rating down to a 4: 1) Some of my dog's problem behaviors were not covered in the basic obedience class. Looking back, there really aren't that many skills covered, but I think it is because Amy spends a lot of time building a base to work from. The first couple weeks focus on sitting calmly, giving you their attention, and using healthy food/treats. I will say though, when training dogs, slow and steady tends to be much more effective. 2) There are a few occasions, especially when dealing with problem behaviors, that I feel like the "all positive" approach is too lenient. Just like when a human child gets out of line, an occasional spanking gets the message clear to them that they did something wrong. I'm certainly not advocating hitting your dog, but I feel a certain amount of firmness needs to be applied when appropriate. Overall though, most of the suggestions given to me have worked. Ok, I know this review is getting long, but one last thing. $$Price$$ If you browse their website, you'll see that it is one of the more expensive classes in Columbus, but I've learned that you get what you pay for when it comes to dog training classes.
