The menu is old school but broad, with various bagel sandwiches and pastries complementing a range of coffee, tea, and smoothies. I got a spiced chai latte. It was good, but I would say the sugar and spice were stronger than any actual tea flavor. My pistachio muffin was likewise sweet but the nut flavor elevated things. Very cool coffee shop! The first time I came was years ago and it was more hole-in-the-wall than it is now. They had only a few tables and it was very sparse inside. Now, they've got a ton more tables and couches. A lot of people like hanging in here. I saw retired folks, students, etc. It seems like a popular place now! The space is fairly large and it can host a lot of people. I was surprised how many people were there as we sat. We had arrived around 10:30 on a Wednesday. There was even a line at the register. I got the lavender latte with almond milk. It was bit more frothy on top than I needed. It was pretty decent. My friends got regular coffee, an iced toasted marshmallow latte, and an iced tea. They all enjoyed it! This is one of my friends' favorite spots and I can see why. It's a great atmosphere and the staff seems pretty nice. The place could be a little brighter and the bathrooms could be a little less jank. I'm glad I got to return ! I'm open to trying other syrups for the lattes. One issue is parking. This is a nice place but do better!!! I order a bacon & egg croissant. The sandwich would have been great!! but I got 1 slice of bacon folded over on the sandwich. I felt like I was eating a bread sandwich. I know prices are high but don't cut back and then still charge me full fee. Being a remote worker can wear on your mental health... Especially when quarantine/covid forces you to stay at home, ultimately leading to all the stir-crazy feels. After being vaccinated, I've been cautious but a bit more adventurous in trying to work remotely at coffee shops again. It's been really great having a space to escape, caffeinate, and be productive. The seating inside has been spaced out to allow for social distancing. Everyone also wears a mask when they aren't seated/eating/drinking. The staff is so nice and I always feel welcomed when I come in. I also really appreciate all the sugar free sweetener flavors they have. They do such a great job of creating a cozy environment here. I do wish they had cold brew coffee, but I typically settle for an iced americano and that does the job. I'll definitely be back! read more

It's quite a good place. We had an Almond Frappe and a Mango Smoothie. We wanted to have some hot food as well like a sandwich but they had closed on that since it was a Sunday evening and they were to close in about an hour. They only had muffins and some cakes available which we were not in a mood to have. Almond Frappe had a weird initial taste but I liked it after a few sips. Mango smoothie was good. A lot of space indoors to sit. However, you get a little claustrophobic feeling since the walls are too packed with something or the other. Natural light is less too. My chai tea was great, but I felt really uneasy due to two of their guests. One seemed to be belligerently tripping out and another was carrying around a knife and disrupting people at their tables. I brought it to the attention of the manager on duty, but both are apparently regular customers who have never caused a problem. What?! I was made to feel like I was in the wrong for even mentioning it. The staff is friendly and works well under pressure - they're pretty much always busy! They have the best chai in town (big train brand). Their muffins are really good too. There are a lot of different kinds of drinks to choose from. That said...I debated between 3-4 stars because it never seems that clean in there. Partially due to the poor lighting, I imagine, but they also have a ventilation issue and it's been very smokey about 50% of the times I've been there (cooking smoke, not cigarettes). How have I lived in Northern Kentucky for my entire life and just found this cafe? My mom and I came here just for coffee, but we will be back to enjoy some of their food as well! My mom got the Cafe Au Lait and I got an iced americano with almond milk and the coffee was fresh and we really liked the roasts they have. So, this coffee shop is on my way to work so I decided to stop, everyone raves about it in NKY. I got a vanilla iced coffee; disgusting. I literally took 2 sips of my 5 dollar coffee...I thought might as well went to Starbucks and got a overpriced mediocre coffee..I also got a Lemon poppy seed muffin and IT WAS AMAZING. I don't drink coffee, but I love this local coffee shop. First, all of their baked goods are homemade by the owners. They're delicious. I highly recommend the muffins and chocolate chip cookies. Second, they have a good tea selection. When I visited today, they had raw organic honey, which absolutely thrilled me!! I take my tea with honey and lemon. I had the tropical green, and it was delicious. Again, I don't drink coffee, but they have a huge selection. My friend ordered a raspberry chai latte, and she said it was amazing. She currently lives in Lexington, and she said she can't find a chai down there that's nearly as good as Reality Tuesday's. Yes, the shop could use a thorough cleaning, but it's an old building. It's definitely not "disgusting." The baristas were cleaning while I was there today. Keep in mind that this is a local family-owned business. They're not some huge company, who can afford to completely renovate every few years. It's a great hometown coffee shop! It's cozy and quiet. I'd definitely recommend it. read more

At Reality Tuesday, you will find a less-snooty, grassroots and more laidback coffee shop environment, which is quite nice. No aggravating background music, either. The staff are lovely, patient and oozing hospitality. I am not a coffee shop lover (I shy away from the little bites-and nibbles foodstuffs that coffee shops are notorious for serving, and I'm not a coffee fanatic), but I was meeting a friend who loves RT and he wasn't going to be convinced to go elsewhere. The place was very busy too when we arrived, but the cozy space intelligently utilizes every square foot of space that it has with plenty of tables and chairs, without feeling cramped or intrusive (high top tables alternating with low, cushioned armchairs, etc.). We found a fabulous selection of delicious coffee drinks and other beverages at RT that rival any commercial chain coffee shop, at the same prices too (this is quite admirable for a one-shop independent, and attests to the fact why they have been in business for 15+ years). If RT was in my neck of the woods, I would honestly pick them over a Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts any day of the week. My kiddo had a java chip Frappuccino and loved every slurp. I had the BEST chai tea latte that I've ever sipped, and it was their "skinny" version. Suffice to say that RT's skinny version was ridiculously rich and creamy and flavorful. The in-house pastry selection looked mouthwatering as well, with an assortment of frosted cookies, Danishes, cheesecakes and muffins. We split a slice of the espresso rum cheesecake, and admittedly, I wasn't impressed - personally, I make a much better cheesecake. It was very dry and overbaked and crumbled under our forks. My friend loved his cookies though, and I was covetously eyeballing one of the most delicious looking treats I have ever seen (a GERMAN CHOCOLATE DANISH!). The lunch food was "meh", I didn't love my salad (but my daughter liked her BBQ chicken quesadilla). Based on the staff, homemade pastries, coffee/beverage selections for the prices and the chill environment, I would definitely rank RT as one of my better coffee shop experiences. We were there about 10am so the selection wasn't as great, but what was left was still amazing! I will come back here to stock up on desserts to serve at my next dinner party, for sure. Step up to the counter and meet a smiling face of a young barista. Reality Tuesday serves up a variety of coffees and can make anything you would order at a chain. I went with my go-to item: a caramel mocha. It was spot on, actually, better than the chain because I could taste the coffee and caramel flavoring. It wasn't overpowered with sweetness. My friend and I spent a few hours chatting here without feeling rushed to leave. It was a great atmosphere to relax and catch up. He even mentioned that he "camped out" at Reality Tuesday for a few days when the electric was out at his house. Everyone is very welcoming here. There's not really a type of clientele at this coffee shop. I saw a mother and child, a group of teens wearing Notre Dame hoodies, young professionals on their lap tops, and two retired guys shooting the breeze. I say this a lot, but his place truly has my heart. Way back when I was in high school, this was the place to be. Now as a young adult, this is where neighbors work and friendly faces come for coffee and a treat. The service is BEYOND kind and welcoming. Almost every time I'm here I see the owners back behind the bar helping or in the kitchen baking. The baked goods are all homemade by Bill, the owner and they're some of the most delicious in Cincinnati. His cheesecakes are to die for. They are a coffee shop, so the food isn't always as efficient because they don't make it in a full scale kitchen, but nevertheless they do a good job at getting it out on time and together. If you're visiting, try the blended drinks, smoothies or just a latte.
