I've driven by this place hundreds of times but never actually stopped by until today. Now I don't know what took me so long! I got a dark chocolate latte, and it was absolutely delicious (and a great price!). I need to go back and try more of their specialty items. I went through the drive-through, which was quick and easy. The woman who took my order was super kind. This place is small but mighty! Give it a try! read more

Was dropping the wife's car off at Dubwerx in the morning, and saw this lovely little shop just down the street. Stopped in for a latte and a muffin. Went with the Buckeye latte (hot), and my goodness did that hit the spot! Delicious! Enjoyed my chocolate chip muffin also. The shop has seating inside and out, as well as a drive through window. They had my order prepped and ready very quickly, so zero complaints about the service. If you're local to this place, well worth stopping in! read more

We were wanting to try something different and this won our attention on Yelp. We were surprised at how little it was, but there were stools inside. I got a sugar free French vanilla latte and my daughter got a cold brew. The drinks were good. We enjoyed talking to the owner. I had worked as a barista, and actually learned a lot about the origins of coffee from him. Overall, the experience was very good. They do have tables outside for when the weather is good. read more

What a cute little coffee shop in Madisonville! I live less than 10 min away and pass this on the way to work everyday but I have never stepped in. Decided to give it a try today and boy have I been missing out. It's a small little shop so there's not much seating inside but the coffee is great and the variety of bakery treats are fun to try. After reading reviews I decided to try the famous s'mores bar. Very dense and delicious. It's not so sugary that it makes you feel like you'll get diabetes by it is dense so just make sure you're ready for it. It can definitely be shared :) I tried the llama latte which is like a tuxedo mocha with white and milk chocolate syrup. The difference here is that they add espresso drizzle on top. I got it without the whipped cream since it's already sweet with the syrups and it was perfect. It's a very chill atmosphere and local family owned shop. The owners kids help out and the bakery items are all homemade so they have a special touch. They also have a drive thru which is great! I can stop by on my way to work :) definitely looking forward to coming back again! read more

I've only had food Door Dashed about 2 times from here so I can't say anything about the experience or atmosphere. I will say the food and coffee was decent. I may come in and actually check the place out to see if I'd have a different view (Door Dash doesn't always give a great representation to a business). read more

I always love Mad Llama especially the breakfast sandwiches on sourdough and breaking burritos but this time I tried the bacon quiche and it was the saddest excuse for a slice of quiche. I'm super disappointed since it's been a favorite of mine for years! Coffee is always delicious though! read more

The service was quick and easy. The menu is posted on the on the wall and you order with a person instead of through a speaker. This is better than the leading coffee shops. The taste is smooth and fantastic! The drive through is quick and convenient. read more

I was a visitor for just the second time. I was not familiar with their hours because since Covid business are constantly changing their hours. When I arrive at 3:20pm today I sat at the drive through window waiting to be served. I could see people working inside and just thought they were serving another customer. But when I looked at the homemade sign I saw that 4pm closing had been scratched out and replaced with 3pm. Okay, fine but the staff could have simply opened the window and politely stated they were closed for the day. Instead, they let me sit there about 5 mins without so much as a word. Another car pulled up after me and the same thing happened. Common courtesy would have been to tell the unsuspecting patron that the store was closed. I will not return to this business. read more

My wife was drawn here due to the Llama theme and she's obsessed. We went through the drive through which was super convenient! They had a full menu with prices visible from the drivethru which I really appreciated! We had a java whip and a iced mocha latte. Everything had a nice strong coffee flavor, with out the overpowering bitterness. The whip was a little too sweet for me, but my wife enjoyed it. If we are back in the area we'll stop by again. read more

i like to support small businesses so i come by a lot. the coffee itself is really good - but drinks often lack consistency in recipe and general quality/taste. they offer a lot of allergen friendly options which is very nice, but they are not always great tasting. super cute interior and lots of small art and stuff like candles for sale! read more

Glad to have a local coffee shop that roasts their own beans and that makes their own baked goods with quality ingredients & health in mind. My only gripe is that when I pay, the employees always ask if I'd like to add gratuity at the window. It feels awkward, if I wanted to add gratuity to my already expensive coffee I would offer that. Also, fyi, the drive thru line can be quite a wait, (they don't ask people that have ordered food to pull forward, can create a long line) would encourage you to walk in if you are in a hurry. read more

I drive past frequently and while I love coffee AND llamas, I just haven't managed to stop until today. Now I'm kicking myself for all that time wasted in the SB drive-thru for lesser, more expensive coffee. I tried the llama latte, and it was a blissful treat, served to me by an exceptionally kind employee (owner?). Next time I'll go for something less calorie-intense, but this latte was like escaping to an oasis on this dreary January morning - hot, creamy, well-incorporated ingredients (none of that business where all the flavor is concentrated in a line of sludge at the bottom of the lukewarm cup). So happy to add this great, local place to my routine. read more

Absolutely fantastic coffee shop!! They only have a few stools in the window, but the selections and drive-thru are honestly beyond compare for anything in the area. Finally, a locally owned Coffee shop with a drive-thru in my area!!! As far as the food options go, they have just about everything you can think of a coffee shop offering. Delightful baked goods, with vegan and gluten free options. I even had a special request for one of their breakfast sandwiches made gluten free, and he made it happen. Customer service is top notch as well. They have a reward card, and unlike many places they offered it immediately instead of waiting for me to ask. Their coffee, which I'm VERY picky about, it GREAT! They get it from a small batch local roaster in Oakley, and it has won the first place on my list of places to buy beans from. Definitely give this shop a chance if you are a coffee fan! read more

Super cute! I had a latte and a breakfast sandwich (egg and cheese on an Asiago bagel) and both were great! The space is small and funky, you'll most likely take your coffee and food to go (a few indoor counter seats and a few small outdoor tables). Definitely worth stopping in and supporting this local business! read more

This place is all about coffee and tea. I am not a coffee or tea drinker So this will likely be the shortest review ever from me I tried one thing - a pastry item called a smores bar - and it was out of this world good. About 3 inches square by 1 inch high of decadent deliciousness. Bottom layer sorta kinda like a blondie made from graham crackers, topped with a layer of soft but solid milk chocolate, and that in turn topped with a cluster of bruleed mini marshmellows. I swear I meant to get a pic but it looked so good I wolfed it down before I even thought about the camera in my pocket. I'll be back soon, just to, uhm, you know, get you that pic :-) read more

Cute little coffee shop on the corner of Kenwood and Madison Rd. While I only ordered a 12 oz coffee, I can tell you I will be back because of the friendly service. There wasn't a whole lot of room to sit if you were planning to stick around to do some work, but there were a few stools along the front window. They had a nice offering of different types of breads (gluten free too), brownies, etc. and by looking at the menu, sandwiches as well. I will definitely be back! read more

I visited the Mad Llama for the first time today and ordered a hot mocha. It was the very best mocha I have had in Cincinnati, and I've had mochas from almost every coffee shop on the east side. The coffee was strong and the mocha was not overly sweet ...just perfect! The barista was friendly and informative. I will now go out of my way to have their coffee!! read more

Stumbled upon Mad Llama between meetings. I had never heard of it, but decided to walk in, as I always need caffeine, needed to use the restroom, and potentially wanted to set up shop and work on my laptop. This is not that place. Setting up space is limited, but I got the vibe most of their customers go through the drive-thru. Also, there is a restroom, but you feel like you're definitely not supposed to be there. It's in the kitchen, well, the back of the kitchen, and you have to walk through it to get there. However, my cappuccino was very good, and I give Mad Llama props for trying to encourage people to hang on to their coffee sleeves. You get a punch each time you reuse (again, probably regulars who go through the drive through on the daily). For me, this seems unrealistic that I would ever be able to keep up with a cardboard coffee sleeve for a 2nd use, let alone 8 more after that. But again, props. And I commend anyone who can do this in order to save the environment and get a free coffee as a bonus. Had another Mad Llama at the first annual Cincinnati Coffee festival. I haven't had the chance to try out the pastries, but would try those next time I happen upon this little spot. read more

I put Mad Llama on my list of coffee shops to visit in the Cincinnati area, and it left me wanting more. I enjoy coffee shops that are the full package -- full menu, charming decor, great atmosphere. This was not that place. If you're looking to grab a coffee and go, this will fill your need. But if you are searching for a place to sit down, drink your coffee out of a mug and work off your laptop, this is not the place for you. read more

It was all over the avocado too. They hated it. I hated it. My kids were so unhappy with this toast that they went to the counter to ask for new bread. This place was more than happy to charge for a new slice of bread. Will not come back. There are other, better places.
