There had been some issues withthe settlement as to when it was going to happen. I had very little notice because the dat changed several times. When called to ask for assistance with the financial transfer, they were not helpful with instructions. I followed the instructions and contacted the bank. The bank was missing the information or instructions needed for the transfer. So I was given incomplete information from First American. After I did everything with my financial institution and it was in their hands. They followed up with First American to confirm information for the transfer of funds. It was in the works. A few hours later I received another call from Emily asking why the transfer hasn't arrived yet and pressed me to call my bank again. When I did, they said everything was going fine and it would be happening very soon. I don't know why she didn't contact the financial institution since they contacted First American to confirm the transfer. There is no customer care or support here. More like a loan shark. Go somewhere else if you're looking for a helpful human experience. Dennis Dreyer

Home buyers beware of Coldwell Banker. I signed a purchase agreement through them and gave them a…read more$2,000 deposit as a purchasing agent, to purchase a property on a conventional mortgage with 20% down. The purchase was contingent upon financing. 3 days before closing, the bank notified me that I needed more than 30% down for closing which was about an extra $35,000 in monies. The deal www canceled because I was not able to get a mortgage for 20% down as outlined. However, Coldwell Banker will not help me receive my downpayment back. Even though my contract was with Coldwell Banker and my check written to them. I will never deal with them again!! Buyers beware!
