My absolute favorite jewelry store. Everything Rebekah designs is gorgeous, and the antique collection is perfect. I have purchased multiple pieces from the Northampton store, and I plan on buying more. I love everything they carry, and the women working there are incredibly helpful and sweet. I'm not the most delicate when handling my jewelry, so I unfortunately damaged one of my antique lockets. I brought it back into the store, and Rebekah went above and beyond to repair it, clean it, and have it back in my possession in no time at all. read more

I don't write negative reviews--in fact, this is my first--but I feel it's warranted. In early December, I met with a manager to design a custom engagement ring. I shared inspiration photos, discussed the style I wanted, and my modest budget. Over the following weeks, we exchanged many emails. I repeatedly expressed concerns about the ring becoming too large or gaudy and worried the stone size might not suit the delicate, vintage-inspired design. I was reassured that my vision was understood and would stay within budget. The ring was completed later than I had requested, as I had planned to give the ring to my partner while we were away for the weekend. Although I was disappointed in the change of plans, I let it go because I understand that sometimes custom projects can take longer than expected. While I was away, I requested a photo of the finished ring and was very surprised by what I saw. It was much larger and heavier than I had envisioned and looked nothing like the inspiration images. When I picked it up, I was told that the person I was working with hadn't realized the stone they sourced wouldn't work in the delicate setting I wanted. Had I known this beforehand, I would have chosen a different design--or not pursued a custom ring at all. After I shared my disappointment, Rebekah kindly met with me herself to discuss altering the ring. I appreciated her willingness to help and left feeling hopeful that the second version would better reflect my vision Unfortunately, when I returned in early March to see the redesigned ring, I was heartbroken. It was even further from what I had envisioned. I was so shocked in the moment that I paid the remaining balance and left without saying much. Everyone I've shown the ring to agrees the setting is awkward and poorly executed. The stone is beautiful, but the setting is heavy, unbalanced, and doesn't achieve the vintage aesthetic we discussed. Ironically, the first version, while still not what I wanted, was a far more attractive ring. Months later, the ring still sits in its box because I can't imagine giving it to my partner (or to anyone). I'm also confused how this represents the Rebekah Brooks aesthetic, which is what drew me to the business in the first place. What disappointed me almost as much as the ring itself was the response to my concerns. The final email acknowledged my disappointment but emphasized that changes had already been made in good faith and at the expense of the business and that this situation was unusual for them. To me, that felt dismissive. I understand custom work has limitations, and I wasn't expecting endless revisions, but after spending $2,200 and investing so much time communicating my vision, I expected a result that reflected the quality and reputation of the business. In my opinion, the final ring is simply not representative of that standard. The ring is a white sapphire stone set in sterling silver. I chose this stone and metal in order to remain within my modest budget, however, I believe that is an extremely high price for the materials used. I have been sitting with this for over 4 months now, because I needed to take some space from the whole situation. I've even wondered how I could be to blame for this, because that's what I tend to do. About two weeks ago, I reached out one last time to see if perhaps the store would consider taking the ring back for a partial refund and they could then reuse the silver and the stone. The very flat response that I got was that they do not take back custom orders and there was nothing more that the business can do for me. In my opinion, even if unhappy customers are rare for Rebekah Brooks, one unhappy customer on such an important purchase should be one too many. read more

We had a great experience sizing our antique ring from the 1920s. We were very nervous trying to find a place that had the expertise and experience to do it. Emma was very responsive and answered all our questions via email. During our appointment she helped us decide on the right size and was very helpful. She made us feel more comfortable trusting them to do the work. The sizing was done quickly and with care. Unfortunately with how much we had the size taken down the original engraving had to be removed but they were even kind enough to replace the 14k stamp for us. I would definitely recommend them for antique jewelry sizing. read more

I worked with Rebekah to make a custom engagement ring after having shopped around at several stores and online retailers. My fiance is thrilled with the outcome. My experience at every other store was very sales forward, whereas with Rebekah we were focused on the ring itself and she helped me understand all of the details that go into crafting something beautiful, durable and comfortable. She was able to use really high quality lab grown diamonds and made the ring low-profile so it won't catch on things. Find another jeweler. They have beautiful pieces but the worst customer service. After several bad interactions following the purchase of a ring they continue to disappoint. For example I reluctantly went in to drop my ring off for regular maintenance and was not promptly greeted. When I finally explained why I was there the sales associate there just stared at my until I took off my ring, instead of asking me to do so. Then she put my ring down on the counter and said well actually I need to help these people over here because they were here first, shrugged apologetically and then walked away...How awkward!! I snatched my rib back up and left. It is so clear to me that these associates are in major need of customer service training and to learn how to make people feel more comfortable and welcome. Rebekah Brooks is the only place I would go for jewelry design and creation. Several times I have brought in jewelry that didn't suit me anymore and Rebekah turned my earrings and diamond ring Into works of art. One time Rebekah wasn't in the store but the sales associate helped me come up with some options and Rebekah came up with a stunning and unique setting using the diamonds from my own ring. I highly recommend stopping in the store that is on Main Street. Their inventory is unique and very well priced. I especially love their estate jewelry. read more

I cannot comment on their work. I never got that far. I brought a bracelet to be repaired and got a quote. A week later I got a phone call telling me that the actual amount it would cost to fix the bracelet would be more than double the original quote. It was too much for me. I went back to the store to pick up my bracelet, and the owner told me this was like a car repair shop. That once I brought the bracelet I agreed to the work. I disagreed with that saying that any repair shop would make sure that I wanted to proceed with the work. She finally agreed to give me back my bracelet. I had given her a $50 deposit and she said that she normally doesn't give back deposits. She knew I would fight her and eventually agreed to give me back my money. I was never given any notice that by giving them my bracelet I agreed to having it fixed there regardless of the cost nor was, I informed that my deposit was non refundable. I have to start by saying that I truly do love my engagement ring from here. The designs are beautiful and relatively unique. I love that they are a local business and that is what drew me in. I am giving it three stars because the customer service did not live up to my expectations. I was hoping that since they were a small local shop they would be attentive and warm. However I have found them to be mostly dismissive. My biggest complaints are around communication. When we needed a letter for insurance about the value of the ring, something that my three other friends who were recently engaged got no hassle from their jewelers, we were told we would be charged for it. We sent an email expressing our dismay about this, and did some research. It turns out that about 50% of stores charge for this, and the other half don't. So- our mistake for not doing the research first, as it seems relatively standard to pay for this service. However, the email we got in response felt curt bordering on condescending and despite waiving the fee --which we appreciated -- the communication eft a bad taste in our mouth. A week after this, the stone in my ring was loose. After three weeks of wearing it, it was wiggling around and rattling in it's setting. They fixed it at no cost. I was appreciative of this, and the looseness might have been a fluke, but nonetheless it was hard to get off on such a rocky (no pun intended) start. Finally, I reached out to them this fall about a reaction my skin was having to the ring. I wanted to know what was in the ring so that I could speak with my dermatologist about what allergy patch tests to do. They were kind and prompt in their reply. However, when I told them the account it was under so they could look it up, I never got a response. Again, this could be chalked up to a miscommunication, and I will say it is because I think it's worth expecting good will, but this third incident made it a pattern, and led me to write the review. In all, I think they make great jewelry. However, despite loving my ring, my fiancé and I wish we had gone somewhere else in hopes of having had a better experience. read more

The jewelry at this store is very nice and I used to love this store. That is until I ran into their terrible customer service. I went in to try on a few of there pieces of jewelry and after trying on a few i picked a piece I liked. While trying it on I mentioned that if the recipient did not like the gift then i could always return it. Turns out I needed to return the necklace. Well apparently, the clerk failed to mention that they have a no return policy even after we mentioned that the clerk knew we might need to return the jewelry. She told us that there was a small sign somewhere in the store that said no returns, which is not a good excuse. We spent a little over $500. I would have expected this company to be a little more responsive and respectful to their customers. I am deeply disappointed and I do not plan to continue shopping here. read more

The designs are unique, comfortable for everyday wear, and very reasonable priced, ranging from moderate to higher-end pieces. My husband and I had custom rings made here and we are so happy that we did! We used a diamond that had been in my husband's family - we had it appraised before, but Rebekah was able to tell us all about the cut and origin. She was really excited because she works a lot with Victorian jewelry and our diamond was cut during that time. It was so great to get all of the history that we didn't get with the original appraisal! We both love our rings - they are unique and beautiful but also great for daily wear. read more

We walked into this amazing little boutique conveniently located in Thorne's Marketplace to look for our wedding bands. Hannah greeted us with a smile and took care of all our needs. Our rings were made with limited time and even customized with our time constraint. The jewelry is handcrafted and distinct, which prompted me to come back to choose nine pairs of earrings for my bridesmaids. I received cheery and detailed emails letting me know updates and when we were able to pick up our jewelry. Rebekah Brooks was very professional and friendly. I purchased my wedding band here and am so pleased with it. Rebekah was there the day my fiance and I went to look for rings and she was beyond helpful, knowledgeable, and charming. I chose their wheat band in rose gold and it was ready 3 weeks later. The details are beautiful and intricate and it is truly a timeless ring. Rebekah was there again when I picked the ring up and she was just so friendly and lovely. I felt like she truly cared to know about my wedding and completely understood what the day is supposed to be about.
