We came here for their monthly Blues Night for the first time last Friday, and it was so much fun!! Its a live band from the bay area who are such a blast to watch. Its so nice having a blues music venue in our area because they are hard to find. The drinks were amazing and all the food was great. If I could leave zero stars I would! My boyfriend and I were kicked out 5 min after walking in and after we had already bought a drink each (which was over $35). The security came up to us and told us that his manager told him we had to leave because they don't allow people with face tattoos inside the establishment! It was baffling because it's 2024 and tattoos are still an issue? BUT the establishment had a bartender who was VERY pregnant serving alcohol with a crop top on exposing her 8 month old belly. Worst part is the security was clearly not aware of this "rule" until his management told him to get us out. The security asked us to "hurry up and finish our drinks and to leave". He even had the nerve to tell us to "not make him come back to ask us to leave". Worst experience ever! The discrimination was clear as day... maybe because we were one of the very few people of color in the establishment? If the tattoos were the issue then why didn't they have a sign posted saying it? Why wait until after we paid their expensive drinks to kick us out or better yet notify us before allowing us in? If you want to feel discriminated against then go to this place and you'll get the experience! read more

Unsafe vibes for ladies! I've given this place too many chances. Bartenders are rude, after asking for a recommendation with a certain liquor the bartender replied "know your drink or get out" and didn't serve me. After trying to gain this man's attention for my friends drink he threw a receipt paper at us??? UNSAFE VIBES FOR LADIES security here is....not security.. weird men touching you and following you around the bar after kindly telling them no, forcefully telling them no, then going to get security who just shrugged his shoulders. Rebel has been reimagined, like seriously this place is AMAZING after their big "relaunch" this weekend. I went last night and its very cozy vibes and decor inside, and the new menu has leveled up. Loving all their new craft cocktails too, especially the bone-marrow fat washed old fashioned. I recommend Rebel for date night dinner or groups. After 9:30 it picks up and becomes more of a nightclub which is really fun! Wish they had more bathrooms though because that line was long. They have a new VIP section that you can reserve if you order bottle service which is really cute for small groups. What a nice find. Delicious chimichiri with a perfectly cooked steak and spectacularly prepared fries with some combo of Parmesan granolata sprinkled on top. Looks like we just missed Happy hour, darn I live for HH! And they had a free spread laid out on a high top table I seen a large salad, not sure what else... I may have to return to check that out! We sat down and were given menus & water. We ordered drinks a Mandarin Cosmo and a Blood Orange Margarita they were beautiful and delicious but for a funky joint with libation in the name I was shocked by how teeny tiny my Margarita was... big enough for a barbie or small enough as it were! Since we were on our way to a Vineyard we wanted a light meal so we each ordered an appetizer she had the Nachos with chili & housemade queso they were average not terrible but, not great either. I had the Crab Cakes. Again average they would've been better if they were cooked longer so they would've had a crunchier exterior because the inside was good, but it was too soft and all the same texture. The menu said it came with a sriracha aioli which sounded delish it was ok, but lacking a sriracha kick. Our service was fine if a little disinterested. As usual I forgot to check in, I missed out on a $5 discount so if you go check in for a $5 off a $30 deal. read more

I recently hosted our school's "Parent's Night Out" social / fundraising event at Rebel, and what a great decision that was! It was the perfect venue to host such an event -- it was fun and relaxed, and the perfect size for our group! Allowed space for sitting, standing and mingling, and even pool games in the back room! We loved that we were able to host the private event from 6-9pm so that it was just our group, and then enjoyed the dj after 9pm when it opened up to the public. Not having to leave when our event was "over", and being able to stay for more fun was exactly what oue group was wanting! The catered food was delicious, and we appreciated being able to bring in our own dessert! The bartenders quickly got to know our drink preferences and kept the drinks flowing smoothly and efficiently! There was never a long wait at the bar! I don't know if they were bad but I've had a ton of oysters in my lifetime and never had gooey ones like this it was weird! However, the Bloody Mary's weren't even on the menu and the server seemed like she didn't want me to order one - she mentioned that they take over 10 minutes to make etc. So I didn't get to try one... The food was ok, I ordered the pork chops. They were a little dry, but tasty. My husband ordered the Mahi tacos. The "chips" were odd and fall apart in the mouth. Now, on to the disappointing part, the service - or lack there of. Service was very bad. At minimum, I would strongly suggest not going on a Sunday, as they (according to the server) only have one person working. We waited a long time, had to deal with a grumpy server who pretty much just threw our things on our table and ran off, and felt rushed out. I don't see myself returning. Kevin Christmas is an absolute legend and handled our party with an amazing level of professionalism but also knew exactly how to handle a few things that had popped up over the course of the night. DJ was really good played a mix of old school and new school. He did a really good job keeping the crowd dancing. People working behind the bar were really nice. Came here for brunch (Sundays starting at 10) for some mimosas. With Bank's Vault closed I think Rebel takes the award for cheapest bottomless in Livermore ($15) and you get to choose from 3 juice flavors. Waitress was happy to mix pineapple and OJ for us. The food was great, expect to pay ~$15 a plate. Pork belly waffles with bacon jam (chunks of bacon) and siracha honey syrup were definitely worth coming back for. We we're the only ones there for the first half hour we were there. I assume this is because they just started brunch on Sundays and haven't marketed it much. No need to make reservations. Ambiance was a bit dead with no background music. Interior decor could really use a refresh to go along with the business rebrand. Wires untucked from behind the TVs and random old bottles wrapped in gold foil sit on a plethora of built in shelving that otherwise serves no purpose. No craft beer on tap besides Altamont's Green Collar. I was told that the two IPAs were tapped from the night before. With the beer scene exploding in the area, I think it's a missed opportunity to have big beer (Coors, bud, 805) taking up real estate. All in all, will definitely be back! read more

I don't even know where to start with this review. Our whole entire experience was just above and beyond from start to finish. We hosted a private event (graduation party). During the planning process I worked with Dina who was so helpful and accommodating. She answered all our questions and made sure we had everything we needed. As our event developed she was so flexible and adjusted to suit our needs. The day of the event they let us come in and decorate and checked in with us to go over how the process would work for the event so we knew exactly what to expect. Then they met all of the expectations! All the staff were SO NICE and friendly and made us all feel welcome. My main contact on the day of, was Nicole...she and all the bar/service staff were phenomenal. The kitchen staff just knocked it out of the park...the food was delicious, hot and the serving sizes were generous. Everyone was stuffed! The owner, Gianni, was on top of it all...bringing meals out from the kitchen and making sure our experience was seamless. They even downloaded our own custom playlist! I wouldn't change a single thing. The day was perfect. All our guests commented how great it was and how much they enjoyed our event. 10/10. Thank you Rebel Kitchen for an amazing graduation party!
