Irresponsible, Unprofessional, Unreliable. Our washer that we purchased from this company was recalled back in 2016 and deemed unsafe. According to Samsung, this washer has never been repaired by any of their licensed professionals. The washer doesn't complete spin cycles which we were told by one of their technicians that it is just sensitive and picky. This may or may not be related to the recall according to Samsung. Since July 22nd, this washer has only completed four loads total, two the day that the technician came out, once on September 16th, and once November 26th. Also, while delivering the washer and dryer, the dryer was delivered without a filter and it took between June 28th and July 17th to get one from them. The delivery guys also made gouge marks in our hardwood floors which later had to be sanded out. Which my dad unknowingly signed a waiver which he thought was an invoice so he paid for the floor to get redone, but the fact that they made marks on our new floors is unbelievable. read more

Got a brand new dryer for the price of a used one due to their error, but the washer we got had bearings that are going out so it sounds like a jet engine, but supposedly they will bring us a brand new model this week. So maybe it's great service to receive two new appliances for the price of used ones, or maybe it's an inconvenience, you decide. read more

I had a horrible interaction with this company. I don't usually write reviews but I had to make an exception. We had someone come out to look at our dishwasher approximately two weeks ago. Tech said to run milk through it and if that didn't work, he would come back to fix it. Sounds great. Only costs $65. Did that repeatedly as instructed and did not solve the problem. Called back to set up another appointment fully understanding it would cost more money - no answer, left a message during business hours. No call back over the next couple days. Finally called back again four days later and asked for someone to come back out. They explained if the milk didn't fix then I have to buy a brand new dishwasher (ours is brand new 1 year ago). I stated I don't follow how it could already be broken. He stated that "new dishwashers just aren't built like they used to be." He then proceeded to say he didn't know that much about them and I asked to talk to somebody who might know more to which he replied "we haven't sold dishwashers here for years" and that "he was the manager." I took this comment to mean he knew the most about dishwashers there (but I could be wrong). So said goodbye and I hung up, upset. I then called LG (the brand of our dishwasher) and they were dumbfounded to hear someone had told us that we needed a new dishwasher and gave us the number for another repair company that they recommend. I say this to highlight the inaccurate response the manager at Reconditioned gave me. Today I called to get my money back. I explained my case; he said "if someone goes out there, they have to charge them". I responded that the tech did not follow through on a second visit. He stated sharply "I'm telling you right now, you're not getting your money back." At this point, he's starting to raise his voice. I tried to reiterate that services were not followed through on, maintaining composure, knowing acting like an ass would only invalidate me. He stated he doesn't know why the tech would say that and that's not their policy. I said he still said it and he represents your company so I would like a refunds for the false services. He then diverted and stated he had other customers to help to which I stated I was a paying customer. He said alright and hung up on me. I never write reviews because I use my time in other ways but I felt so cheated that I had to tell this story. Just beware, if you go here, be prepared to be treated as a dollar sign. read more

The service at this place is horrible the lady is real dismissive with you as the customer. My refrigerator went out twice and I had to cook all my food so it wouldn't go to waste after calling her to see if we could get a service order no one showed up after confirming they would and gave a specific time. Wish I could put no stars!!! I purchased a French door refrigerator from them. Got home plugged it i and did not cool at all. Since I picked it up they said I had to bing it back. Took it back and they "upgraded" me to one with a ice maker in the door. Took that home and freezer is not working. They say I have to bring this one back in to have it fixed. I bought a washer and dryer from them that ended up being crap and had to have the washer worked on right away and it took them forever to get to fixing it and he had to replace the whole guts of the washer so tell me that they reconditioned that washer before they sold it, not!!!! Now it squeals and carries on like it is going to fall apart any minute!! I also bought a refrigerator and the ice cube maker freezes up and did from the start and they told me they did not warranty the ice cube maker only the running of the refrigerator? Buyer BEWARE!!! I would give zero or negative stars if possible. Unfortunately this is one of those places that is friendly and helpful during the sale and then when you call with a problem, the individual on the phone will quote you chapter and verse from the lengthy document they slid in front of you to sign while they chatted away. Warranty: I chose to bring home my appliances myself. There were two reasons for this. One: They told me it would be two days to get the appliances delivered, I needed them right away. Two: I have heard MANY stories from buyers who selected and paid for one thing then were delivered another, lower quality item. I plugged in the fridge and it immediately started running very loudly. Like the spin cycle on my washing machine. I called immediately. I was told that they could send someone in several days and that there would be a 45 dollar charge since I did not use their delivery service, which also costs 45 dollars. I complained about being charged for them to come and look at a broken refrigerator they sold me and the fee was waived. A technician eventually came over and said indeed the fridge was dead and would need to be replaced. I called, NO PROBLEM! WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE EXACTLY LIKE IT RIGHT HERE THAT WORKS PERFECTLY. They sent a single person with a truck and trailer to swap out the fridge. He damaged my property trying to muscle the old fridge out the door. Gouged floor, gouged door, damaged storm door, broken brick, scraped hand rails, gouged building....when I called they asked that I send pictures and they would take care of it. No one ever called back. I called five days later and was told that I would have to deal with the delivery man about the damaged...please see page 978 paragraph 14 subsection 666. The replacement fridge not identical, and was also damaged during delivery, was dirty and the freezer shelf was not the correct one for the model, didn't fit at all, and was covered in rust. These are people employing predatory sales practices. Do not trust anything they tell you. Read every single word of every document and posted sign in the business. I would even check behind the restroom doors for additional store policies that will affect you when your purchase does or needs repair. THESE ARE VERY VERY BAD PEOPLE. STAY AWAY!! read more

BUYER BEWARE! I bought a used refrigerator from them. It stopped working after four days. They gave me a hassle about coming to my home to fix it, said it would be better if I brought it back (This is not feasible unless you have a truck). It took them a week to come out to fix it. It stopped running after 3 days. Again, a big hassle, multiple phone calls, and excuses about not having a technician available. They wanted me to call every day to try to get on the service schedule. Every day they would say their technician is too busy, and to call back tomorrow. This went on for over a week. Finally, I just took the refrigerator back to them. I asked for my money back, and they refused. NO REFUNDS! They did offer to replace it with a refrigerator that looked worse than the original one. They said they would deliver it the following Tuesday. They never showed up. No Phone call Nothing! Four weeks later, still no word from them. read more

Recently bought a refrigerator. Has been the worst experience. The refrigerator never worked from the moment it was delivered. I called the office within minutes because the refrigerator was leaking water. I was told I had to wait a week before the repairman could come check it. A week later the repairman comes confirm the refrigerator is leaking freon. It is still not fixed and it sounds like a lawnmower. They lied to my face I asked before we bought it if freon was leaking I was told no. The lady that answers the phone is rude. I will never do business here again. My father overpaid for a fridge in November 2018- it looked like it was so old when it got there and the handle was cracked and crazy glued back on- which of course it fell off almost immediately. Unfortunately he had a stroke shortly after the delivery so we didn't have time to deal with it- fast forward to today- it stopped working yesterday and when I called I was told the warranty could be 90 days or 6 months and the ONLY way to know was to have the number written on the original receipt- no way to look it up at all (how convenient and leads to another question- are they paying taxes because why don't they have the copy of the paperwork??) they can't get anyone out until 3 days from now. I called another place it needs a control board which will cost 389!! Do NOT buy from this place! read more

***Frauds***February 2016 I purchased a washer and dryer. After doing my paper work something told me to take a picture of the make,model and serial numbers inside both the washer and dryer. It took days before both items were delivered. The delivery I was told the day of purchase will be included in the sales price. Well, the 2 guys that delivered my appliances tried to con me out of $45 stating that I had to pay them for delivery. I was highly upset and told him that I as told I wouldn't be charged. So, while one guy walked to their truck, the other guy mumbled "Well what can you afford to pay?" I told him absolutely nothing! They looked and acted like very dishonest people. So while escorting him out I noticed that they had chipped and cracked portions of my porch.Upset, I went back into my home to start a load of laundry. As quick as the water came in, it came out of the washer.My laundry floor was covered in water. I immediately called the guys who delivered my appliances. They told me that there was nothing that they can do, They only get paid to deliver. So I called the office. Of course it was closed but I left a message. I was contacted the next day and a repair man was sent out. He fixed it but If I pay for a working appliance, it should be working when it was initially delivered. Which brings me to today April 10th, 2017. My washer is broken! It does not wash or spin. My warranty was only available 6months after purchase.You would think it would have lasted longer than a year and a couple of months. Well, since I have to purchase another washer, I wanted to buy one similar to the capacity of the washer that I have that is now broken. While looking in the inside for the capacity I noticed that there is a different name other from the one I initially bought when I was in the store room.Since then I do have a new phone but I kept my old one. And my suspicions were right. They switched the washer that I initially purchased and delivered me a different one. Take your business else where. These people are not honest. Not even worthy of one star. Went in on Tuesday, was told I could pick up my refrigerator Wednesday, called at 1:30, they said it would be ready in few hours. Never got a call, called them around 4:30, said they were too busy and never got to it. Spoke with Alex and informed her I would now need it delivered on Thursday, she said she would return my call, and of course no call returned. I called Thursday morning, they said it would be delivered, 4:30 on Thursday, after I made arrangements to go to work late because of the promise of a delivery, a call from Pauly stating that it wasn't ready "it needed a part" but he promised it would be to me tomorrow. So now We come to Friday, they can't give me a delivery time, not sure when and all sales final. 3 days later, no fridge, the worst customer service, and after much arguing I finally got my money back. My husband and I purchased a refrigerator from this store last Saturday 4/13/19. First available delivery day was Thursday 4/18/19 between 1p-5p. We were told we would get a call the day of to schedule a dropoff time. So, around 4:45p my husband calls and asks if I heard from the store because he had not. I told him no, that's when I called the store to ask what was going on. The receptionist stated she called and left a voicemail confirming the dropoff time. LIES!!! We never received a phone call or voicemail from anyone at this store. She proceeds to tell me our refrigerator was on the truck and out for delivery. I go home clean out our old refrigerator and wait and wait and wait. NOTHING!!! The time is now 6:30p. I call the store only to get an answering machine saying the store was closed for the day and would reopen at 9a. I'm fuming now, because we have unplugged our refrigerator, and food has been out longer than it should have been. Fast forward to the next day, 4/19/19. Around 9:30a, my husband calls them to ask what the issue was, and the receptionist apologizes for the inconvenience. She states the deliverers had a long day and couldn't make our drop-off. She asks what would be a good time to come out today. My husband tells her "my wife will contact you to set a time." I call the store immediately after speaking with him. I express my discern with lack of communication and unprofessionalism. She apologies again and asks if they could come out now? I told her "no" because I was headed to an appointment, but 3pm would be good. She confirms and we hang up. At approximately 11a, I call the store back to let her know I had a break in my schedule. She tells me the deliverers were in St. Louis at the present time. I told her "no worries, let's keep it for 3p." 3p rolls around, and once again all the food is out of the fridge and sitting on the counter. 4p gets here, so I decide to call my husband to vent. He calls the store and was told I said they could deliver anytime after 3p, but they were in route and would be here in less than 30 mins. Again, LIES!!!! Its now 5:47p as I type this long review and guess what....no refrigerator and the store closed at 5p. Oh wait, it gets better. There's a no refund policy! I am LIVID!!!!! Don't patronize this business. We purchased a refrigerator from here. When we went to pick it up two days later on a Saturday, a handle had been taken off of it. We were told it would be delivered the following Tuesday when the delivery team was in the St. Louis area. This was purchased for a rental property and I assumed it had been delivered since my tenant didn't ever say anything. Once I was told by my tenant that they were still missing the handle I called Reconditioned Appliances and spoke with Sandy. She told me to email her pictures of the refrigerator as well as the model number sticker from the inside. As soon as we got off the phone I emailed everything she asked for. No communication iin two weeks so we called again. This time we spoke with Alex. She again asked for photos. We sent them to her. 3 weeks later the wrong handles were finally delivered. It has now been another 3 weeks and the correct size handles have not been delivered even though Alex told my husband yesterday over the phone that she would bring them out and want to meet him to pick them up. No phone call. This place is horrible with solving any problems and should not stay in business. read more

Recent experience with reconditioned appliance was very poor. We have been customers for about 8 years or so. Have always been satisfied with the services until they've fired a few of their own. Now services suck. Had a repair guy come out to service my dryer. I showed HIM what was wrong with the dryer only to be told it would be 45 dollars because he came to look at it! WHAT!!! You didn't do anything. What happened to the 30 dollar service call that I've always paid for the last 8 years? Then he didn't have the part which means that he had to come back the next day. So I asked him how much the part would cost only for him to tell me it would be another 55 dollars. WHAT!!! I found the part and bought it for $18.09 and put it on myself. They didn't want to split the cost of him coming out. I would have been okay with splitting the cost and discount on the part for them to service their appliances. But now they've lost our business for good. Moral of the story...don't get rid of the people who bring in the business. read more

RUN do not walk away from the company, Recondition Appliances. I bought a used refrigerator from this company that lasted 2-3 days before it started making a loud noise. They sold me a refrigerator with a bad condenser. They said not to worry they would send me a nice one. They made an appointment to bring another one, but did not show up. Called them and they said they would bring it the next day. They did but the freezer had no shelves even though there were slots for shelves. It was missing 2 crisper drawers and the bar on the door was bent and would easily break. They eventually came out and promised shelves and crisper drawers. I am still waiting for the shelving and crisper drawers. I had to eventually go to another store to buy a decent refrigerator. In addition to this explanation it usually took 2 - 3 phone calls to get them to follow through. You eventually get frustrated and walk away. Others who have had negative experiences with this company told me I had made a terrible mistake doing business with this company. I prayed that I would not get ripped off because I had already given them my money. Well, I got cheated too. They talk a good game but that's where it stops. Just letting you know about recondition appliances so you don't lose your money too. If you have been ripped off by this company PLEASE report them to your Attorney General, the Federal Trades Commission, & your local BBB. read more
