Kylie is wonderful! She is very professional and great to work with. My dining room chairs needed new upholstery. The set is old, but I love it. The upholstery looked terrible because my cat totally tore up each one. I decided to look on Yelp and I found Recovered Interior. The reviews were great and Kylie got back to me immediately. I sent her photos and she gave me a quote, which was very fair. She also said that she would bring several swatches of material that she had in case one might work. When they came to pick up the chairs, I picked the material. I took a sharp knife and tried to cut through the sample, but it didn't make a mark! It's definitely cat proof. I told her that I would like the chairs back before my holiday party, and a week later they were back. They turned out fabulous! The padding that she added is great and she did a beautiful job. I had a great experience getting an old oak bench reupholstered and the wood revitalized. The process was very easy, and Kylie and Jim were so helpful with the fabric selection when I went into the shop (which had all the covid safety one would want). After researching several places to get a chair reupholstered, I came across Recovered Interior. Their price points for labor were more reasonable than the other places I checked and they had positive reviews (and are about to have another!). I emailed them with photos of the cushions I needed reupholstered/the foaming to be replaced. Kylie wrote me back with a quote that remained accurate through the entire process. Found Kylie's company on yelp. After getting quotes from several companies, Kylie's was competitive and the most responsive and professional one. She was accommodating with us in finding a time to drop off our chair, and the turn over was very fast, less than half of what she had predicted. Most importantly, she was completely supportive and open to our design idea, but we also felt like she would have given us an honest opinion if she thought our idea wouldn't work. Our chair had a significant amount of wood work and there was a loose piece that she fixed as part of the reupholstering job. I've taken upholstery classes from Kylie twice and they are absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to take one again. Before I took them I knew nothing about upholstery and now I'm hooked. What I love about Kylie and Alex (who instructs the class with her) is that they are very hands on and willing to help right from the beginning. She gave me guidance on fabrics and once I took the class I feel like I got a lot of one-on-one instruction. Each class there is a maximum of 4 students so the classes feel very intimate and friendly and like you're never wasting time. Best of all the results were fantastic. A couple years ago Kylie had made new cushions for two chairs from the 70's that were my grandmothers. i still love them and they look as great as they did the day we got them. Recently my husband and I inherited a 9' long mid century sofa. This was when I truly saw her talent for details and Alex's amazing craftsmanship. It was a huge job but it came out so sleek and beautiful I can't stop staring at it!
