We sat, ordered drinks along with the food when we got there. After we realized the people around us that arrived significantly later were already paying to leave, we got up to ask about our food as it had easily been 40 minutes. Food started to roll out and we kept getting offered free chips in the meantime- sorry but this solves the situation how? That is not how you manage or take ownership. As a manager myself, you take care of the person full on through to try and turn the situation around.
