Lavender by the Bay is a lovely and popular lavender field in the northeast. I've know about it for…read morea while and had a chance to visit. I and a friend went around peak bloom mid July. Staff is very kind and accommodating as we were unable to make our initial ticketed time. It costs $15 admission and will take no more than an 1/1.5hr to walk through the field. They unfortunately do not have an option to pick lavender due to prior damage, per the staff. There is a spot in the field to make a scent bag for $3, but that can be picked up at the little farm shop. There is a small stand at the entrance to buy bunches of fresh lavender, soaps, honeys, etc. While it is nice for a few pics, I do think $15 is a smidge on the pricier side. That said, it is a nice way to pass the afternoon and get some small lavender trinkets to go.

We came during peak bloom for the French lavenders in mid July. It wasn't crowded at all when we went. Even though it's recommended to buy tickets online, we had no problem buying the tickets at the door. I loved that they have chairs conveniently located in the fields so you can relax and take in the view. We had a lot of fun spending about 1.5 hours here. Please be sure to check their website for the latest bloom update before you make your trip. Also another thing to note is that there are lot of bees (understandably as it is a working farm), but it's something to keep in mind if you are allergic.

An employee sped into the exit and parked and rushed towards us as we were stepping out of the car. She did a b line to us and we thought it was serious. She told us that they weren't even open and we were parked on the wrong side of the parking lot near barn. Due to her approach we thought that we were perhaps an hour early but when we asked what time they open she said 10 am. It was 9:50 am. I wish she had approached us differently. Why not just say that they will be opening in ten minutes. We weren't trying to get inside. We had just commuted an hour and stretching out. It was so unwelcoming. On the other hand a young man on a tractor said welcome while driving by us. The farm itself is lovely!

The giant chess set is fun, and there's tic tac toe you can play with rocks on giant logs. The train is adorable and you can buy a ticket to ride in it, and make sure you go check out the pond, there are fairy villages all around it. We love going into the shop and buying dried lavender and their lavender lemonade, and I have so many of their lip balms now it's not even funny. Definitely a must do right now because it's their peak season.

Located in a beautiful barn is their wonderful winery where they offer wine tastings with plenty of seating for large parties. They also have cider, which was quite tasty. We had a large group and this was the perfect spot to host us all so we could sit together and relax. This would be a spectacular venue for an event... specifically a wedding. We would highly recommend stopping in here if you are in the area. There's also a cool farm with animals for the littles, or any animal lovers, and a farm stand with fresh local fruits, veggies and cider donuts (during the fall). Lentz_explore

" Wine Flights" We enjoyed the wine inside their wine barn. This early 1900's barn is now an air conditioned wine sampling wine barn. We paired our wine with a yummy charcuterie board. The bartender knew everything about the wines we sampled, and about the history of the Harbes family farm. After enjoying the wine, we headed out to pet the farm animals. Yes they have 2 Highland Cows. The baby goats were our favorite! Then MJ got lost in the Hedge Maze lol, see video below. We enjoyed roasted corn on the cob and some fresh lemonade. Overall a great time

Came here for lavender picking by the bucket and we had such an incredible time relaxing, walking around the fields, taking photos and hearing the music of the bees as we walked through the fields. If you stop for a moment, you hear their little choir in perfect synchrony. Came here during the week and it was very quiet and not too many people were around so it was perfect. Absolutely obsessed with the lavender lemonade and all the lavender products. The best part about this place is that there's no fee to walk around or hang around the fields. You pay for what you pick and they have different sizing options. Lavender is only seasonal of course but you can find out what they have in season of pick the beautiful wildflowers if they're around. To be honest just coming out here to relax is an experience itself. They have continuous different types of workshops available done right at the open area (it has a cover so in case it's too hot or it rains you're good!). Make sure to check out what classes and things they have going on on their ig or on their website. Bottom line, gorgeous space, dreamy vibes and incredible owners.

I thought they field would had been bigger but that's okay we all enjoyed it and it was a great time. What I most love about this location is there is no entrance fee . Definitely check out Lavenwood I highly recommend it.
