I really do not like to leave a poor review, but this food was awful. The "brisket" is pot roast...at best. All in all this just is not bbq. Many of the dishes I ordered legitimately looked like dog food. Spent $70+ dollars on take out, wasn't even really expecting some incredible food to show up....but this is so terrible. Interesting place. I appreciate good BBQ, and I make some pretty decent Q at home on my Big Green Egg. I know that good BBQ in a restaurant is not cheap. It takes a healthy investment in equipment and a lot of time to make great BBQ. Red Bee does not make great BBQ. It's ok, but it definitely is not "as good as it gets." But I am not sure it is supposed to be as good as it gets. Red Bee is filling a need. It serves generous quantities at a very good price point. I tried the brisket and baked chicken. The brisket was kind of dry. The chicken was fine, but it definitely has an Asian flavor to it because of the spices used. I did not try any of the sauces because I wanted to taste the meat, so, to be fair, the sauce may add to the overall flavor. The side salad was fresh, but I only saw ranch as a dressing choice. So, I may be back in the future to try some different meat and some of the sauces, but Red Bee probably will not be something I crave or a place I bring others to because of the great BBQ. We were on a mini-trip staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Windsor, and saw this place right across the road. We were craving ribs, and eyed the 18.99 deal. When he noticed me dithering over sides, the manager immediately offered samples, and I was sold. I didn't regret my decision! In the area from out of town and looking for options that were open in the area. We happened upon Red Bee and decided to give it a try. I ordered the combo w/ one meat and two sides. I had the bbq pork with beans and coleslaw. My husband had beef brisket, bbq pork, Mac n cheese, and corn bread. Both of our plates had very generous servings and you can't beat the prices. The brisket was nice and moist but the bbq pork was made in a dry style. The server asked if I wanted sauce on top and I said no but he put it anyway. He must have known how dry the meat was and that it needed the sauce to moisten it. The beans were good with a strong mustard flavor. The coleslaw tasted fresh but lacked any flavor outside of cabbage. If you're looking for a sweet slaw, this isn't it. I tried my husbands corn bread which looked good. It was also a little dry. We stopped in at Red Bee tonight as its tbeir seconed day from opening this new location. Its in the Lakewood shopping plaza next door to Tease salon. They have a large grand opening sign over the door with the blue neon sign buzzing open. Asyou walked inside this quick style fast service counter. You can see a 5 well steamtable filled with bbq chicken, teriyaki pork, brisket, pulled pork, shredded chicken, and crazy corn. The owner was there working the counter, as he had two nasty cuts on his right arm. He should of had them covered up. At any case there were two people befor us, they ordered the Brisket sandwich topped with coleslaw, a piece of cornbread the size of a 6" plate, and crazy corn. I took some.e pictures of the food items, as they didnt look all too appetizing. On forth we go anyways as they re on day two. We also ordered the Brisket sandwich nd and crazy corn. The owner explained thathis grill wasnt working, so he had to microwave the sandwich roll. He placed a disposal container on a scale and took a slab of steamed brisket from the pan on the steamtable. He cut it with a knife, as his assisstant handed him the roll from the microwave. He placed it in the container and added the sliced meat. We asked if we could try some of the other meats? The assisstant gave us tasters on tooth picks which was nice of them. We also ordered crazy corn. which again they had sitting on the steamtable. They took an ear and placed a thick skewer into the bottom and into the disposal container and sprayed it down with lemon juice melted margarine and fake parmesan cheese. They total cost was $7.58, and it tasted like it. Because they microwaved the roll, it became very chewey. The brisket was luke warm at best and tasted as if Arbys made bbq. The crazy corn was cold and with the fake cheese made it gross. This place has a second location in Santa Rosa that has good reviews, and im a bit confused on why this food is getting such reviews. I think we will try the other location as im not convinced that just the change of the location could have such a horrible experience with the food quality. read more

I wanted to sample all the Red Bee BBQ offerings, so I ordered the Family Meal (Any 6 meat + 6 sides + 1 large Salad $29.99) as take away on Monday 3 July. All the meats are more like Asian grilled rather than BBQ. By "Asian" grilled I mean marinated such that there is a "sweet" taste to the meats. Hit the UPS store in the shopping center and happened upon this place which had a "now open" sign. What a surprise I was in for. Ordered a two meat combo and got my buzzer. I watched some guy pick up his order and walk to his table in astonishment. It was a massive plate piled high with meat. My buzzer went off and I picked up my plate. Holy cow. I'm not exaggerating when I say you get three to four times as much meat as you do with a Dicky's combo. I'm a big dude, and it was a lot even for me. You couldn't touch the brisket with your fork without it falling apart. Very very good. The chicken breast was incredibly moist for breast. I like dark meat better, but opted for breast as I'm trying to watch calories and fat content. Was not disappointed. It was super juicy and again, a huge portion. Had a slight Asian flavor twist, which I did not mind at all. The sides looked amazing, although I opted for salad because of my diet. I really wanted to try the barbecued fried rice. But even the salad was enormous, and had lots of good stuff. Not just iceberg lettuce. In this era where food portions are shrinking and prices are rising, this place is a standout. I really hope they survive this economy, because this place is an incredible value. And nice guys to boot. The gentleman behind the counter may have been the owner. He was super friendly and helpful. I had 2 meats and 2 sides: Brisket and Chicken. Both were tasty and there was plenty of it. I had the beans which I thought were flavorful and a green salad. I like how I got to choose what to put on the salad. Hubby had chicken, brisket and ribs. He enjoyed it all. Tonight was the first time we decided to get takeout from the Red Bee BBQ. I don't know where to start. First, the prices are great, & nowadays that's so important when everything is so expensive. This is a great place to go if you have a family & are on a budget, & want delicious, tasting food. Also, this place was so clean, which is also important. The two men behind the counter were very friendly & helpful. I got the ribs, & brisket. My hubby got the same thing plus, pork shoulder. All of the meat was so tender, & flavorful. I tasted my hubby's pork shoulder, & I'm going back & having a sandwich made of that. It was incredible! My hubby loved the crazy corn Cobb, potato salad, which was very creamy , beans which were very thick & smoky, & a green salad with all the extras which that alone would cost you $7.99 easy. It was so fresh, & just delicious. You can't go wrong here, I'm so glad Windsor has an affordable, delicious place to bring home a great dinner or lunch. Bravo! Based on the Yelp reviews, I decided to try this asian infusion BBQ. Very nice. The brisket was very tasty but not the traditional texture. Not bad, just different. After a couple of new brews at Barley n Bine, we found this gem of a restaurant....There's no need to go to a high end place to get good bbq, the Red Bee has killer BBQ to satisfy any craving!!....they can handle most food preferences, vegetarian, vegan or carnivore...like me!! I love Red Bee BBQ and have eaten here a few times: you'll ALWAYS have leftovers because of the generous portions and it's just gooooood BBQ to me anyway. (And I'm from Memphis!). Last night we decided to try Door Dash for the first time (pffft) and ordered pretty big from Red Bee: I couldn't wait and was excited that I didn't hafta cook since I wasn't feeling "chipper" anyhow. ANYWAY---the order arrived and I could tell it wasn't all there (I won't get into Door Dash on here but I just need y'all to know it's really hard for me not to right now...hehe). So, after some craziness, I wound up having to go to the restaurant. "G" (who owns this little gem) and the sweet teenage girl working with him were so gracious, humble, and over-the-top apologetic that I wound up feeling bad! They went above and beyond what was necessary to make everything better (including G walking my order out to the car) and correct the inconvenience that was Door Dash's fault in the first place. And their cornbread!!! Omg, their cornbread. If you haven't tried Red Bee BBQ, try em this week but if you use Door Dash, be careful if your driver's name is Tom. read more

This is one of our favorite quick and easy takeout restaurants. However, The other night we visited and were disappointed. The sliced barbecue pork roast was tough and dry when usually it is tender and juicy. The other problem was again, usually, you get more food than you can eat. The staff there barely filled up the container. We felt that it was about half of what is normally served. Red Bee you can do better. read more

Ordered the two meat combo, beef flank and sliced pork. The portion was above average, I'm 6'2'", 220lbs and full after this dinner.
