Brisket was some of the best I have had in California, top 3 for sure including the top spots in the LA area. Really incredible. Ribs were very good. Brisket sandwich on a martins bun, good toppings, all around an awesome sandwich. Cornbread had good flavor, good strong corn taste, a bit of a heavier / more dense style, but overall quite good. Awesome honey butter on the side. Mac and cheese was good but definitely a heavier style, very creamy, dense, mixed well with some brisket. Banana pudding was top tier. Portions are very generous for the price. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Staff were friendly. Parking on the street nearby was easy and they also have some spots in front. This was during the week so on the weekend I imagine it could be different. They also have smoked oxtails which I don't remember having before so will need to try that next time. Whatever I write in this review will not fully encapsulate the jaw-dropping flavor this place has. The pulled pork sando was so filling in and of itself but with those sides?? You'll walk away with a full stomach and some leftovers for dinner. The baked beans were the showstopper for me. Please do not pass those up whenever you come by. The cornbread was dense (in a good way) and super moist. The brisket was tender and the flavor on that pork rib--my God. We came about 20 minutes after they opened. They serve here until they run out! We went around 3 pm and there were a few things that were already sold out! Including the cornbread and potato salad! Which I wanted to try!!! We ended up getting a brisket plate with mac and cheese and yams. We also got the pulled pork sandwhich. The brisket was a 10/10 the brisket literally falls off as you eat it!!! The Mac and cheese was also good! The yams are on the sweeter side! Service was good. You walk up and basically pick your order from their menu. Then pay for it after. Seating is limited outside but they do have a lot of indoor seating. It is a bit on the pricier side, I think we paid over $50 for both of our plates. Returned with some friends so they could experience the dream of A&M BBQ. Each time I come (it's now been 3-4x) I like to try something different. Today I ordered the Smoked Turkey Sandwich. I was a little skeptical as Turkey often times can be dry but man... this wasn't the case for A&M BBQ's Smoked Turkey Sandwich. The presentation was nice and it came with several thick pieces of sliced smoked turkey. The meat was tender and juicy and I didn't need a beverage to wash it down. The buns they use are soft and really good as well. I honestly wasn't expecting the white sauce and had my BBQ sauce ready to throw on to the sandwich but it truly didn't need it. The white sauce, (while I don't know what it was, maybe a white bbq sauce because it was on the sweeter side?) was delicious and I didn't need the traditional bbq sauce. If I could give A&M BBQ 100 stars, I would. The turkey, brisket, and oxtail were out of this world - perfectly smoked, juicy, and so flavorful I didn't even *need* the sauce (but the sauces were great too). The candied yams and collard greens tasted like somebody's grandma was in the kitchen, and the banana pudding was the kind of dessert you keep thinking about on the drive home. This is the spot I'll be driving back to Sebastopol for - absolutely worth every mile and every penny. Finn is a co-owner and went out of his way to talk to us at our table and get to know us. Ordered the burger (one way - no options), couple $5 beers from the chiller, and the banana pudding. Burger was ground smoked brisket and had the best smoke ring for a burger I've prob ever had. Pickles, cheese, onions, and sauce. AMAZING! Who doesn't love $5/CAZ pints, and the banana/nilla wafer pudding is comfort in a container. Perfect all around. Only downside, parking stinks. Unless you are an east coaster you couldn't possibly understand how much that roll elevates and sets off this delicious masterpiece of a burger. I've had many, many, many, many burgers in my time and this may possibly be the best burger I've ever had. It's so innovative and well done that it's a perfect burger. Is it the classic American cheese burger? No, it's not but if you want that there are many places to go for that but if you are looking for the next level with the Gouda cheese and pickles topping this burger it's hard not to love it all. Oh and did I mention they have banana pudding made fresh as well we're walking in it was the best ending to greatness. Look I go to a lot of spots and eat a ton of great food. What makes this place so dope is the vibe the owner and the staff they are so nice and not afraid to take chances with something as simple as a burger. Trust me it's worth the trip. Delicious BBQ! My husband got the brisket and was so happy with it. He said it was the best he's ever had and it melted in his mouth. He also loved the baked beans. There is paper towels and bbq sauce on every table to adjust to your liking. The atmosphere was relaxed and clean. Staff were friendly and seemed happy like a good place to work. You walk up to the counter and order, and everything is ready to go. Kind of reminded me of a cafeteria style. Everything was hot and fresh none the less. Is it just me, or do you walk into a restaurant to order food for the family (today it was 2 adults and one very hungry 8-year-old) and order what you think is an adequate amount of food... only to second-guess yourself and add a little more? I decided to come in after having a family member read an article raving about the food. We ordered a 2 meat plate (chicken, brisket), beef ribs, cornbread, collard greens and Mac & cheese. The smell when you walk into the building is phenomenal. The staff were very friendly and happy to answer all our questions and recommend certain popular dishes. We weren't able to see them package any of the food with the design of the counter but we paid and went home to dig in. We were massively disappointed by the amount of food in the bag. We either ordered half a pound or a full pound of the meats and were expecting to see a decent amount. 2 pieces of brisket, two ribs and what looked to be a quarter of a chicken. All the meats lacked moisture and flavor other than dry spices and fat. The corn bread and Mac and cheese were pretty standard and basic. The collard greens lacked some flavor and seasonings for me but it was nice with the grease heavy meats. I would maybe return to try the banana pudding and burnt ends but probably not anytime soon. They have a good selection of BBQ items and sides. We were not hungry, so we split a brisket sandwich, baked beans and apple slaw. Went here a couple years ago when it was Marvin's, and quality and quantity were well on point. Fast forward Aug 25, whole new operation with wack pricing, that made me feel like I got taken. Unlike a pic that I saw from earlier in the year, they don't do combo plates. 1/2 pound minimum on meats, so on the fly I sprung for Ribs & Brisket, added 2 sides and got shanked with a $50 bill. That's pre-tip Really soured the whole meal despite brisket being good and ribs were pretty solid, but not as good as I got them before when it was just Marvin's. Really no other good BBQ in Sonoma County tho. Will just lower my expectations and go to Red Bee in Windsor for more than 1/2 the price. read more

I've debated which BBQ is the best in town. There are two other places that rival A&M but I feel this place wins by only by a ribs length! Why? Well, because they were the first to introduce me to what BBQ is supposed to be. I've used them as the guide to rate others by. The little deli that was Marvin's has bloomed into a full fledge restaurant. They've grown with their additional staffs. But what hasn't changed is the food and kindness. I don't see Marvin much but Kris has elevated the menu and flavors. A lot of places rely on their sauces to carry the flavors of their ribs. Not here! The sauce is an extra layer of flavor, but you don't need it. Straight off the grill it packs a powerful punch. The bark is intense. The last time I bit into one, the juices literally squirted into my eye glasses. I laughed as I chowed down. Haha! The sides offered a great. Some are too sweet for me, but I'm more of a savory person. The green collards are to die for. They used to give white bread which I used as an edible "napkin" when picking up the ribs. I will admit, I've only had the pork ribs. Someday I will try their "Dino" ribs and oxtail. They're opened from Thursday to Sunday now. Still gotta get there early before they sell out.
