Really enjoyed Sweet T's -- so much so, that we sent there for lunch twice while visiting friends in Windsor! We were there both times at lunch, so didn't go heavy BBQ (then again, we were in CA, so it's tough to find anything HEAVY! It was fresh and delicious, though -- no complaints!). I had two different salads when I was there -- the rib salad (HOLY RIBS BATMAN) and the Cobb salad (I dare you to find a bad avocado in the state of California). They were both fresh and delicious -- and even though the ribs were amazing, I think I liked the Cobb salad better of the two. My friend got the burger one day and the BLTA the other (see above re: excellent avocados state-wide, and Sweet T's was no exception). One of the two days, we were hankering for dessert as well -- and we hankered ourselves a slice of Key Lime Pie, which was a super smart choice, especially after eating such savory dishes both days. FEB2026 3.5 I'd say. We came by for a birthday celebration. Servers were helpful and checked on us here and there. Water refills infrequent. Getting the check took a bit at the end of service tho. They were helpful with the cake though and helped to provide a knife for us which was nice. We had an order of the hush puppies to share. Those things are always crispy and delish. I was able to try something different this time getting the PB n J wings with sauce on the side and an order of veggies on the side. The chicken was nice and crispy. The PB n J sauces actually worked well together though it was a bit sweet for me, and sticky after the fact. Hit or Miss I have been to this restaurant four times. The first two were great. Solid bar food and bbq. Good service. The last two times I brought my wife and three kids and both times service was very poor. This most recent time, we waited 20 minutes for waters, 35 minutes for drinks, 40 minutes for the first half of our order then another 15 minutes after that for the rest of the food. I would have still tipped despite the poor service but then saw an 18% auto gratuity added to the check. Sweet T's has been a county staple and fan favorite for years. Relocated to Windsor after the Tubbs Fire, Sweet T's southern cuisine is one a kind. Decent bar space for pre-dinner drinks or first come, first serve for dinning. Indoor and outdoor seating (which I was happy to learn is pet friendly). My favorites are; hush puppies, deviled eggs, smoked chicken salad, and any smoked meat, which are all 10/10. Tried some new dishes which included; buffalo cauliflower wing 10/10, brisket sliders 10/10, and sweet Potato fries 6/10 and spicy watermelon margarita 7/10 (tasted like jolly rancher with spicy kick at the end- very sweet front end). I came in for dinner after a day of travel, exhausted but crazy hungry. I had a reservation for a bit later but was able to grab a seat at the bar quickly. I made the reservation because I love me some good southern food! Given the area, I wasn't sure what to expect, as dining in wine country seems to follow a pattern of cuisine leaning more French/Italian. Looking at the menu I was so disappointed to be traveling alone because there are appetizer items I would have loved to try with my order (but share with someone so nothing went to waste!) The PB&J wings sounded fire... so I'll have to get back around to trying those! I decided on the blackened catfish with the help of the bartender. The catfish was blackened nicely, the smokiness of the tomato mixed in and the collards full of flavor/cooked to perfection. I'd order this dish again for sure. What a great spot for a date night and a yummy meal! My boyfriend and I made reservations for a Monday night and it didn't seem too busy, but several tables were still filled. The ambience felt classy but comfortable. Service was excellent. To start, we ordered the fried chicken sliders. These were a nice size for an appetizer and came out hot and fresh! The crisp and the flavor were pretty textbook for a fried chicken sandwich, and the sauce was tangy and tasty. I ordered the blackened catfish which came with collard greens and mac and cheese. The catfish was flavorful and the sides were pretty good as well. My boyfriend ordered the 3-way smoker combo with ribs, sausage, and pulled chicken (they were sold out of pulled pork). For the two sides he got potato salad and grits, which were both quite yummy. The meats were all pretty tender, though I do wish they had a little more flavor/spice themselves; I suppose they were meant to be dipped/covered in sauce. The biscuit that came with the smoker combo was also great! For dessert we ordered the sweet potato bread pudding, which our server told us would take about 15 minutes in the oven. I appreciated the time to rest and digest, because this dessert might have been the highlight of the whole meal! There's a patio in Windsor, CA where they serve well crafted drinks, BBQ, southern dishes, and sometimes a surprise to highlight the freshest fruits, veggies, fish, etc. The dining room is large enough to be a crowd, but I like the patio. Our friend wanted to celebrate his birthday here. Our first time and birthday boy's second time. We had reservations for 1:00 and their automated system works great. They send a confirmation text as soon as you make the reservations. They are located at the end of a shopping center. It was a bustling place when we stepped inside. People checking in and others picking up their to-go orders. The tables looked pretty full and the ambiance was lively. They sat us next to a large party and near the door that leads to their patio dining. I was happy to sit by the door as it brought in some cooler air whenever the door opened. I thought it was a bit on the warmer side inside the restaurant. We were very fortunate to have Karen as our server. She was funny, friendly and personable. Servers must work together because someone else brought us our food and another refilled our waters. We decided on: Rib salad Fried catfish plate BBQ brisket sandwich Brisket chili Potato salad I give them a 10/10 for their fries. They are thin, crispy and perfect. My brisket sandwich was okay, better with the bbq sauce. I chose to have it with the burger fixins' which was a nice accompaniment to the brisket (lettuce, pickle and tomato instead of coleslaw). My husband enjoyed my leftovers the next day. Our friend devoured his catfish plate. He had subbed sautéed veggies and avocado for the fries and coleslaw and he inhaled every bite. My hubby enjoyed his rib meat salad, chili and potato salad. He ate everything too. Mh I love this place it was an exceptional dining experience. I had the brisket, which was so tender it literally melted in my mouth, accompanied by honey butter biscuits that were absolutely irresistible. We picked this restaurant after a day on the road. It was close to our hotel and had good reviews. We got there around 7 pm and found they were on a 90 minute wait. We would have waited is there were any seats at the bar because it smelled great and had a nice vibe. I had noticed on the way in that they had a separate entrance to go orders so we stopped there to see how long that would take. The gentleman, Bob, who waited on us on us in the To-go side was very helpful and professional. We wandered around for a little while and then came back and sat down to wait. Bob offered us complimentary tea or water while we waited and said it would be up soon. We got our to-go food in about 20 minutes and it was perfectly packed with extra napkins, plates and silverware. One of the best things they did was to leave the boxes open the vent so the fried chicken stayed crispy. The aroma coming out of the bag was amazing and I could barely make myself wait. My husband got a fried chicken dinner. I got the sliders with 1 pulled pork and 1 beef brisket. And at Bobs suggestion we got beignets for dessert. First, let me, this was one the best take out meals I've ever had. The sliders came with two different sides of barbecue sauce and coleslaw. The meat was tender and delicious. Perfectly and both barbecue sauces were good. My husband's chicken had a perfect crispy batter and was seasoned perfectly. His mashed potatoes were so good he couldn't stop raving. He had initially really wanted gravy for his potatoes but they don't have gravy. In the end, he said they didn't even need it. Now, we waited a little bit to eat the beignets because we were full. I think they would have been even better hot but they were still out of this world. Two sauces on the side were blackberry and lemon curd to dip in. You really didn't them though. I took my son to celebrate his 17th birthday at this restaurant. Per his request, the ambiance and atmosphere during the survey were phenomenally fantastic, creating a warm and inviting environment. The food was incredibly delicious; the boys were so satisfied with the appetizer, which is one of our favorite dishes to order--Memphis nachos topped with melted cheese, jalapeños, and savory pulled pork. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, just as we expected, while the catfish was slightly underwhelming in seasoning and texture, but the side dishes, including buttery mashed potatoes and seasoned green beans, definitely made up for it. We chose this restaurant to celebrate my dad's birthday, and unfortunately the experience left us disappointed. From the moment we were seated, our server (older heavy-set guy) came across as cold and unwelcoming. The server offered to have it remade, but by that point the rest of our table was already eating. There wasn't much point in having one person wait while everyone else finished their meals, so we declined. To make matters worse, our party was four adults and one child, and an automatic gratuity was added to our bill. Being charged an automatic gratuity after receiving indifferent service and an incorrect order made the experience even more frustrating. The issue wasn't just the mistake with the food--mistakes happen. It was the lack of warmth, attentiveness, and genuine customer service throughout our visit. This was supposed to be a birthday celebration, and instead it left a bad taste in our mouths. I understand the owner often responds to critical reviews. Came here for a b-lated bday dinner on a Saturday night. They only had 7:30 "outdoor" reservations left, so we sat outside. But it's enclosed with glass and heaters, so it's not really like you're sitting outside! This was my mom and her bf's first time coming to Sweet T's. For apps we got the blistered shishito peppers, which were really good! They come with fresh lime squeezed on them (this was a first with the lime for me!) and a nice aioli. We also got the strawberry spinach salad to share, it comes with goat cheese and a nice maple vinaigrette, also very good! For dinner, we got 2 entrees to share. We chose the BBQ plate, we went with 2 orders of the brisket, which was my fav, the brisket is really tender! We also got the tri-tip which was good! For our other entree I insisted on getting the fried chicken-it had been a couple years since I had been here and I thought that was what I really liked and used to get every time I came. But I was wrong, I used to always get their other chicken, the oven roasted chicken (but get it spicy!). The fried chicken was good, but it's the oven roasted chicken that's amazing, in my opinion! You get 2 sides with each entree, so we tried their fried okra, sautéed veges. Cole slaw and their brisket chili! All were yummy! The service was really good!! However, at their very end, it kinda felt like they wanted us to leave. The waitress went on a short break, so the manager was helping out. And once the waitress went on a break, I saw about 5-6 different wait staff keep peaking around the corner at our table, which was a little bit weird! I looked at my watch, this stared at 9pm, so I googled what time they closed and they closed at 9pm. We ended up leaving at 9:30, and there was still tons of tables inside eating! I expected the waiter to ask when we didn't eat but 2 and didn't want to take them. Like maybe ask why if we didn't like them but clearly they don't care. Nachos were just as bad. My friends and I decided to give this restaurant a try after reading so many good reviews. The chicken sliders were perfectly cooked. They were flavorful and tender. It's been a few years since I've been here, and in the best way, things haven't changed. Apps: BBQ nachos with brisket. The jalapenos are a mild spicy, and combined with the cheese, brisket, and great chip crunch, this dish would be the hit of the night at any other restaurant. The Caesar salad was refreshing too, with fresh croutons and a light coating of house-made dressing. Meal: I ordered the two-way smoker combo with pork ribs and tri tip, and my dad ordered the gumbo. The ribs were fall-off the bone. Also shoutout to the mac and cheese for a great balance of richness and character (I'm a cheese guy too and picky with mac and cheese) and roasted vegetables that had a great char. Food quality, freshness, and taste is a big part of what brings us back every time my family is in the area (often our schedule revolves around Sweet T's). Service was extremely friendly, attentive, and impressively quick (~5 min per check-in for refills and dirty plate pickups) for a busy restaurant. Ambience is quieter before 5:30 and gets busy by 6, which makes a lot of sense. Highly recommend getting reservations for anything after 5:30 pm. I do really like this place! The food is always on point. On our past visit, we made reservations and got served right away. We have a 1 year old baby with us this time. The food took extraordinary long to come out on a Sunday night. The baby was crying because he was hungry. One of the server saw and came and gave our baby some oyster crackers. What a nice thing! Great service. This time I got the grilled pork chop plate. The pork chop was cooked to perfection. It was very good. The ribs were excellent and so was the fried chicken. Food is top notch. What I realized is, this place boast on being family oriented and great for family meals. My biggest issue is they do not have a changing table for babies!! WTH?! They have individual bathrooms that can easily fit one. The standard Koala Kare changing table is $400 retail and to install requires some labor, probably $100. It'll cost them about $500 to put one changing table in. Just one!! And they don't have it. SO weird. Some staff kept apologizing... it's not their fault... it's management. I was in Windsor and wanted to try a restaurant new to me. With the help of Yelp I found Sweet T's. I started with the house made Sweet Tea. It wasn't as sweet as others I've tasted but I really enjoyed it. I chose the BBQ Combo with two choices, the ribs and tri tips. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious and the tips were okay. It came with choice if two sides and I had the collard greens and mixed vegetables. Both were great. For dessert, I tried the Mississippi Mud Pie. I'm glad I got the half slice as it was the perfect portion to finish an excellent meal. The service was attentive and great. The restroom is unisex with individual stalls and looked modern. Walked in without a res and waited at the bar for about 45 mins. Cocktails were delicious. We ordered one bbq plate to split between four and got a bunch of apps and sides. A great way to try a lot of things. A fun place with great food. Service was fast and friendly. read more

We got here and there was a wait time. I mentioned to the host I did not know they did reservations and although our wait was supposed to be 45 minutes she happened to have a cancellation and immediately got us in. Which was greatly appreciated. The drink 10/10 super fresh and delish! My picky sibling got the chicken tenders and loved them. I opted for the 2 meat bbq and loved their brisket. I actually was able to reheat it as it was a lot and it tasted equally as great a day later! Mashed potatoes were on point as were the veggies and I don't like veggies normally. Serve was phenomenal our cups were never empty. I wish I would've tried their desert but I will definitely be back another time! We sat outside so the vibe was more mellow but inside it was upscale or at least everyone was dressed nice. I see the complaints about the 4% kitchen charge but it's normal for restaurants around the Bay Area IMO, and didn't freak me out. (SF, Marin, Tiburon all have charges like this) Overall would come again. Give them a try. read more
