This place opened in January 2016. I was surprised when I walked in. Occupancy is 42. But wow. The food was great. Bland. Not spicy at all. We had the mushroom Burger. It was one third pound. Came with mushrooms grilled onions and a gravy. The bun was fresh and soft. A tv in the corner. Everyone was very friendly. You could tell it was all homemade Let's talk about onion rings. With all the five star reviews I was excited to try this place! Maybe I was expecting more based on that but I didn't think it was all that great. The food was okay, service okay, inside was okay, the best thing was the fries. We did order the Avo queso burger and heard the server tell others they were out of avocado. Great for us because we were able to get what we wanted but strange for a Friday evening at 4. Anyway, it was okay and they offered military discount. Protip: Bring cash or you can use the ATM available there. I don't recall which bank it is A cash-only establishment started in 2016, Red Boot Grill serves honest to goodness home cooked meals. I was so excited about being able to order an Indian Taco...without having the fuss of going to the fair. I could eat it on a table!! The fry bread was DELICIOUS and thick. This little hole in the wall restaurant makes up for itself with wonderful food. The decor is garage wall chic that encourages patrons to leave their marks and menu is short with wonderful daily/weekly specials such as pimento cheese burger. Their Facebook page is kept up to date with these specials and pictures to tease your tastebuds. The fried pickles are spiced and delicious. Not overly coated nor soggy. The portions are enormous and served on aluminum platters with butcher deli paper. If you roll out of the Red Boot hungry it's your own fault! The ONLY negative about Red Boot is their hours. They are only open limited hours that end at 4pm (currently) and open late til 8pm on Friday evenings. I live close by And crave my John Wayne but forced to wait impatiently until Friday's since I'm unavailable during their other hours of service. read more

My sister invited me to eat there before a family funeral. The restaurant is cash o ly but they do offer an ATM machine. We shared the fried pickles which were very good. They offer a wide range of burgers, think Red Robin, and local quisine. My sister had the mushroom burger and I, being from the south, decided to try their gumbo and rice. The roux was more of a tomato base than I was used to but it was still great. I really did enjoy eating it. Will be back to try it again the next time I am in town. read more

We came to have breakfast here, I had coffee, my fiancé had tea. We both had the Red Boot Breakfast....2 eggs over easy, she had bacon, I had sausage patties, we both got the biscuit and gravy. I mean, it's the south, who doesn't love some good solid pepper or sausage gravy? Well we got the flour gravy. Was incredibly disappointed, I never add salt or pepper to anything, but it was a MUST. Her bacon looked liked it was cooked and had sat for some time. There were 3 other people in the whole place, the two girls waiting tables were too busy talking and looking at their phones to be bothered with the customers. I had to ask to have my coffee refilled, I mean really? This is basically a diner, breakfast and lunch. Maybe I am wrong, but I've never been anywhere like this kind of place where I had to ask for coffee. So many negatives that I took from this visit that I'm not sure if we will return, and we really looked forward to coming here. The few positives that I can give is, that it is small, and is decorated well. The cash only is not bad, and it's probably one of very few places in Lawton where you are getting mostly home made food. I say mostly because those sausage patties were bought/delivered. read more

The outside may fool you when you pull up and see a generic looking building without much curb appeal, but when you get inside, settle in to the seat and breath a little, this place is nice. The walls area decorated, the place does not smell like a diner, just seems like a normal place to eat. I enjoyed the experience provided here, and will be back to visit again.
