I've been going to red Buffalo for years, since it opened. And I've always had a wonderful time and find the staff to be both delightful and super professional. They're offering a beers will cover most anyone's pallet. They make the beer on site and you can taste it since it is super fresh and very flavorful. Gotta love the Buffalo theme and ambience, very cool. They always have a great crowd and when they do have bands, they're really really good. Real fun place to hang out! read more

A definite place to stop in when in downtown Statesville. We dropped in mid-afternoon on a Saturday when it was quiet. They have an extensive craft beer menu. I had the jalapeño lager which was fantastic. I can only imagine how bumping this joint gets when a band is playing in the adjoining room on a Friday night. Red Buffalo Brewing Company is a small, local brewery with a clear identity. It's a Buffalo Bills bar in Panthers country, and it works. This place got picked for our weekend adventure. We don't go to Statesville very often so we picked this. Upon arrival, what a great surprise. It's a Buffalo sports brewery/bar! Being raised near Buffalo, this was like going home! The front windows are decorated with Buffalo sports memorabilia and flags. As we walked in, you immediately notice that it's well-lit, they have a great bar to sit at and plenty of seating. You can pick regular tables or elevated bar stool tables. They have some seating in the main bar area and another area split off. We chose the split off area as more regular tables were there. We sat down and were immediately greeted by a very friendly server. The menu features some typical and atypical bar food. Wings, hot dogs, fries and other appetizers, an assortment of subs and sandwiches and such but also kicked-up deviled egg flight! You pick 6 of the flavors you want. We opted to try all 6 flavors. We also ordered 10 wings and 2 Whistlepig hot dogs (toppings of bacon and beer cheese). My wife also ordered hard cider and I opted for the Blue'sberry Ale. Cider and ale were very good, served in a stylish Red Buffalo glass. While we waited, the owner made a point to also greet us and we had a great conversation about the Buffalo area and the pain we both felt being Bills' fans . The egg flight came first with the 6 flavors. Just know it's 6 egg halves. All were very good and different. My favorite was the wasabi and Bloody Mary. My wife liked the loaded and Chicago egg. But they were all tasty. The wings and hot dogs came. Wings came with celery and bleu cheese (of course! Ranch in an abomination served with wings) The wings were crispy and of good size. Best bleu cheese I've had in years. Very thick and very pungent as it should be. We ordered medium heat. For us, I'd order hot next time. But the sauce was tasty and had decent heat, I'd just like a little More kick. Personal preference. The hot dogs were very good as well. Plenty of toppings and everything was cooked well. All in all, 10/10 and a great experience all around. I've been hearing some teasing information they might be getting roast beef on weck! For those of you who know, YOU KNOW! In short - the Red Buffalo is a fun loving, small town brewery experience that Statesville sorely needs. The long? This bar has some very kitschy and fun decor with high on life servers with a pretty good selection on beer. I came here after a Statesville After Five event on a Friday evening, and I was intrigued by the number of outdoor clients on both the front and back patios. The last few times I've come into town, I have been curious on both the offerings and the vibe of this brewery. Let me start with an interesting, to me, tidbit- at the Friday After Five event, this brewery had a tent set up with a few draft beers. I tried the Angry Brunette Black, as labeled on the banner. I asked the server what type it was, and he said it was an ale as written, though not explicitly so. It definitely looked and tasted like a stout. It was really good, and I ended up with another despite the server's insistence that it was an ale. I decided to visit the brick and mortar location later in the evening to see the extended menu. Before entering, I noticed the fun back patio and made my way around to the front patio that was all very lively with patrons. Once I entered, I took a seat at one end and decided to order a red ale. It had a decent flavor and body profile, but I soon moved on to the off menu strawberry ale at the suggestion of another patron. This strawberry ale had a great creamy body and hints of strawberry. I ended up with two of these by the end of the night. The most entertaining factor were the regular patrons and the servers. The conversations and actions were routinely comical and light hearted. The venue also had live music while I was there, and may I say - while I am so pleased that this artist was there this evening, his talents are well worth larger and better populated venues. All in all, the Red Buffalo served well for a night of entertainment and antics with some decent craft brew to imbibe. It is an excellent venue for the small town of Statesville, and seemingly attracts excellent talent for a Friday evening. read more

Spent the weekend in Statesville and Red Buffalo was awesome! Great beer, great space and great people. The IPA is my favorite but I strongly recommend the blonde as well. The owner, Joe, visits all the patrons, chats us up and loves to hear which beer is the favorite and what else we'd like to try on tap sometime. There is food at their hotel locations (we were staying there) and the wings are fantastic as well as the new chicken wrap. read more

This is one of the most fun eclectic decorated places I've visited. I just kept looking around and appreciating it. Unique is an understatement. Go visit just to see the decorations. You can take your drink out to the front seating area outside for fresh air, enjoy a seat at the bar, or have friends around a table listening to a band. This place a hidden gem! Lots of Locals and if you want some awesome craft beer this is the spot. Food looks amazing and all the servers were amazing I came here 2 days in a row. The brewery an led restaurant was very laid back on Tuesday and Wednesday but over all a great spot. If I'm ever in NC I'd come back here again. read more

Such a great find while traveling Statesville. We are die hard Buffalo Bills fans from NY and what an eclectic fun place, not to mention a fantastic staff and great brews. They have music and food trucks and certain days and the owner is a great guy from Buffalo. Took the time to chat with us and to show us his portable brewery/fire truck. This spot truly is a gem and eclectic find! The decor obviously has buffalos and so much other random goodness. They don't do flights, but the bartender was basically a mixologist for their beers and I got a blueberry stout and it was delicious. There's a main bar area and side room, perfect for adults + kids. Shared my experience on their Facebook page and was attacked by someone who, I can only assume, is associated with the operation of the business in some way, shape, or form. I will never step foot in the establishment again. Just because my experience was poor doesn't mean that I deserve to be attacked for voicing what happened to me. The same thing appears to be happening to anyone who leaves a less than stellar review. Not a good look for the business. I would have been willing to give it another chance had this person not attacked me. The place tends to be crowded, the bartenders seem to prioritize serving patrons by if they know them or not, they weren't very friendly when we were in, and the fact that they have specials on Landshark and Michelob Ultra but not the very beer that they brew bothers me. read more

Stopped by Red Buffalo while stopping for the night in Statesville for a brew after a long day of driving south from Pittsburgh. So glad I did. Nice vibe, brewmaster as bartender!! and a GREAT IPA. Had a hard time choosing between three I sampled including a really great double brown IPA but ultimately went with a lighter, citrusy crisp one that was spectacular. Perfect choice while Dad was napping and I needed to unwind. Will definitely keep Red Buffalo on my itinerary for my next trip through Statesville. Way to go guys! :-) read more

This is an amazing brewery run by amazing people who take care of their customers. We've only been a few times but every time we show up we're greeted by Joe and Darren with big smiles and hugs all around. We've never had a bad time here. I had some Red IPA today and it was my first experience with Red Buffalo and it could have been better. I ordered a Red IPA at an event tent downtown and my first concern was that the beer that they served up for $5 was basically in an overgrown dixie cup and not even close to a pint. I asked the server if I could get a pint at the brewery down the street and he said that they were serving the same size there as well. Secondly the Red IPA was red but there was no hint of hops at all...no bittering, aroma or flavoring hops anywhere to be found and the beer came across as a sweet ale of some sort. Perhaps I'll have better things to say on a second visit but I'm afraid based on todays visit 3 stars is all I can come up with. read more

Visited the brewery while I was in town over the holidays and celebrated a birthday here. Joe, the owner was extremely helpful in reserving tables for my party. The staff was great as well as the beer. I originally tried their beer at the local beer fest and enjoyed the beer. Cute and quaint venue with great staff and owner. This is a fantastic brewery. I have been to dozens around the county. First off, the beer is superb. But what struck me was the energy and great service. Fantastic. Everything so much fun. We tried another down the street and were not impressed. But the kicker for Red Buffalo..is the cigar shop next door. Grab a beer and go to Dona Noli Cigars next door to meet Duncan. Unreal knowledge. Great great cigar bar. Best I have been to EVER. Great beer, brewery and great cigar shop. Can't get much better! I will be back to Statesville for this!! read more

Place is amazing!!! Joe and the crew did an excellent job at the grand opening. The craft beers were on point!!!!. Service was fantastic...look forward to the food coming soon...excellent place, makes it feel like home ....can't say enough about it !!!I recommend this to anybody.
