This review is for those of us who consider our pets to be a part of the family.... We all know that feeling of dropping our "fur kids" off somewhere... (stressful doesn't accurately capture the feeling). Especially during these times. And it's normal to feel that way. I had hopped/skipped around to 3 different groomers with my 5lb Maltipoo that I lovingly adopted/inherited. It felt like I was dropping off my kid for school (or it's how I imagined it) for the first time. Except my kid couldn't tell me about the good and bad. After a bad experience at a groomer located off Palomar Airport & El Camino Real... I became even more anxiety ridden. So... I put out a request for a groomer on Yelp and within minutes I received the most jovial and approachable response about an available time slot. So... on the day, I showed up (only 3ish miles from my house and was greeted by a smile, while Asha (owner & groomer) unlocked the front door... and pulled her mask back on her face to greet me when the door was opened. Asha made it a point to schedule appointments with departure times missing an arrival right at the beginning of the lockdown. She expressed that she had a surprise addition for an appointment that she was told would be (1) dog. And that is what bolstered my confidence and respect for Asha. She wasn't going to rush through a grooming. She was so incredibly apologetic while not knowing how much her clear commitment to quality work impressed me beyond belief. I am an incredibly worrisome person. But after her 1st time, my 5lb fluff ball was actually excited to see Asha. And if her very palpable and genuine love for animals wasn't enough to assure me of my fur child's safety and happiness... just the other day I accidentally left her leash, collar and harness at Red Carpet... I text her about picking it up the following day... and without hesitation... she drove the items to my house. She just did it. I then realized that the client card she has you fill out on the first appointment contains your home address for emergency and reasons just like mine. She went beyond the call of duty and it was an experience that will forever be remember in my mind. Her love for animals and people and her talent and commitment to being exceptional as a human is astounding. As an anxiety ridden person... I would be wrong to not share how I found peace and confidence in knowing that I don't have to worry about my dog (fur child) at the groomers. Asha... you are a gem! Thank you! In short: Sweetest owner ever, did a great job on my wiggly dog, super cheap, easy parking, and things nearby to do while you wait Everyone but my go-to groomer seems to nick my sweet but squirmy pup. But my usual groomer is on maternity leave, and I needed a last-minute appointment to fix my dog's haircut after she'd had surgery. I tried Yelp's "request a quote" feature, and it automatically sent a message to several businesses for me. Owner was very quick to respond over Yelp messaging. Very low prices, a new customer special, and an immediate opening drew me in. The shop is super cute, and it was obvious that she'd take very good care of my pup. My pup looks great now, and she didn't get nicked! Plus I got to pet the owner's cute little dog (always a bonus). The only drawback is that of course I had to find a good groomer super far away from my house. These are our two doggos Victoria and Atticus and they take such good care of them. It's hard to get a groomers to do two dogs at the same time but Red Carpet is always accommodating. The pricing is also comparable to most so no complaints there especially since we used to groom them ourselves and it would take forever. The people are red carpet dog grooming are amazing, you can really tell that they care about what they do. This was probably one of the best haircuts my miniature schnauzer has ever gotten, I was initially never as I was taking him to a new place. My dog had been going to the same groomer since he was a puppy, but his groomer has retired. My pup can be a really shy and scared dog with new people at times, but the groomers here were amazing with him and left him looking like a start. Side note: it's been a week since his grooming appointment and he still smells great, he is a pretty active pup so he is normally a smelly boy a week after his grooming. read more

I don't normally write reviews but I felt like I had to with this. It's bad.... I hope this was a one off thing for this place. Not the greatest experience from the start. My wife walked in and was immediately judged by the staff. (Our dog needed to be groomed, that's why he was there!) She dropped him off at 1pm and wasn't able to pick him up until 5pm. (There was no communication while our pup was there to let us know it would take that long) I can't wrap my head around why it took 4 hours when they shaved off his matted knots and most of his other fur. See the photos. They completely shaved his hair off around his collar and around his tail. And his chest hair is choppy at best. We have been to several different groomers and never have they taken 4 hours and resorted to shaving our pup. I am in awe at how he looks. Going off of the way my wife was greeted, they didn't want to put in the necessary work and expected a finely groomed pup to show up. After all of that, it costs us $140!! + tip Never again. read more

Fluffy always gets anxious to enter new places but they were so kind from the start. They helped me get the right cut for him. I got a level 4 cut on his body and asked for a puppy cut on his face! I added in the whitening shampoo and blueberry facial making him smell delicious. I'm super super happy and grateful to them. Especially because fluffy was super happy in the end. We took our new rescue dog here for her first grooming ever. She was so scared to go inside I had to carry her which isn't easy, she's a 40 pound boxer mix! Aisha (might be spelling it wrong) the owner was so kind and her positive energy and kindness made me and my pup feel at ease very quickly. I've been taking my dog here for about a year with Barbie. And last month I took him in to find out Barbie had retired. The "owner" helped me out but had such a negative attitude towards me and my furry baby. She would say things like "he needs to be brought in more often and then switch it to "I don't think I can work on him in the future". She was also making assumptions of my dog not being well groomed. Normally the length of his body is 3/4" but she went over with a 7" practically skinned him down. When I picked him up she didn't mention anything about snipping or cutting my dog. The next day when I got home from work I noticed my dog was very uncomfortable. I texted her and was able to get her on a call where she would be dismissive and yell at me. She put the blame on me for what happened to my dog. She wouldn't take accountability. I know without a doubt my French Bulldog was in the best hands ever. We needed a serious de shedding treatment and a nail clipping and are more then satisfied with results. The baby always sleeps in the bed at our feet, but he smells so nice & clean after the treatment I want to snuggle him even closer. He didn't love that but it's ok. I would highly recommend!
