Chill…read moreis a very professional venue and upfront with each client's needs, as all clients request are valued, but we are not inclined to approved all events, if the event does not meet the venue requirements. And in this case this is exactly what happened, the client was not honest in stating what type of event they wanted to keep at Chill. It's the clients's responsibility to read their contract before signing and making the necessary downpayment. The client was advised upfront of what is needed if they were to serve alcohol at the venue, but they never advised this was a paid public event with a cash bar. Chill cannot assume what type of event the client is hosting, hence the reason a contract is issued and meetings are planned in advance to go over the event in detail. The client received the proposal for the event on June 19th, 2019, on the day of the first site visit. The client then reached back out to schedule another site visit on July 15th, 2019 because they they loved the venue and wanted to proceed with booking the event date for August 25th, 2019, the client then signed the contract and asked to make a smaller deposit of $200 to secure the event date, yet still not disclosing this was a paid event they were planning to host at Chill. The client listed the event as a family party. Chill is not a public hall, its a private hall for private and social events, therefore Chill do not allow ticket sales for parties, nor sale of alcohol at the venue. On July 23rd, the client was scheduled for the final planning meeting to which all venue rules and and accommodations are discussed, and it was during this meeting on July 23rd the client advised that they intended to sell alcohol at the venue, to which she was informed no alcohol sales were allowed, the client then stated they cannot charged their attendees as an all-inclusive for the event, and will need to cancel the event. The client was then asked if you're having a family party why there are alcoholic sales, they stated its a birthday party, while trying to wriggle their way out of the proper explanation. The client called the police and claimed we were holding their $200 hostage and then proceed to explain to the police why they needed their money back, to which they were advised by the law enforcement that what they were trying to do at the event was against the ABC rules to try and sell alcohol at a private event. And as explained to the client at the meeting all deposits are final and non refundable, and the client was also advised that we will inform upper management and get back to her about her refund. On July 25th the client was advised that the refund was approved and a check will be issued within the next 7 - 10 business days. The client received their refund without delays. But the client decided to tarnish a business for which they were not clear on their intentions for their event. Not all reviews are truthful, just as this review from Astasia G, on July 25th about Chill. Chill always provides excellent customer services to its clients and always go above and beyond to make the event planning process as simple and as stress free as possible for all clients.

I knew right then I wanted them at my wedding if/when I got married. Fast forward to May 3, 2019 and I had BRB as my band at my wedding - Blair and the musicians are absolutely incredible. Blair helped us every step of the way from coordination to song choices. The band even learned a few songs for us, including our first dance song, which made our day that much more special. With a diverse guest-list we wanted the band to be able to cater to everyone and make sure the energy was high and the dance floor filled - this was succeeded for sure. Definitely a must hire for any event that you wish to have live music at! Our friends and family are still raving!

Scott had called us over the summer after having our contact information from the expo; We went to Tuxton that Sept (2025). He was nice to start but honestly the professionalism all these other reviews speak about - not sure it's in the room with us. In September, we inform Scott we have our wedding coming up in May 2026. He put together the tux ensemble for the groomsman and the groom and we took pictures so we knew what it would look like together - the jacket, pants, shoes, tie, vest. He told us to have the groomsmen send measurements in January after the holidays as half were out of state, all of our groomsmen did so. Fast forward to May 7 - one week before our wedding. My husband gives Scott a call to make sure everything is in order that needs to be rented - Scott's response is he didn't know we wanted ties with our tuxes. After having the ensemble put together in September and seeing him write everything down he tells us he didn't know we wanted ties with our tuxes...that was just the start. Scott assures us the ties will be in by Tuesday, May 12th for the groomsmen and they can start picking up their rentals that day. My husband's family flies in from Florida Tuesday morning and he & his brothers all go to pick up the rentals. Things seem great, except nothing fits. The measurements ended up being wrong for 5 out of 7 men renting their full tuxes or pieces from here. On Tuesday, they are told by Scott to go to the warehouse in Kenilworth and pick up the new tuxes. It was either pick them up or have UPS ship them, but Scott said he couldn't confirm when UPS would deliver them leaving the warehouse as the only option. The last out of state groomsmen arrived late Wednesday and no suprise his tux did not fit either - so on the DAY OF OUR WEDDING - my husband, the groom, had to drive to the warehouse to pick up the correct size tux. Scott was very argumentative about this all - which we were warned about from our groomsmen that had to call him and provide their measurements to him; they were told their bodies are weird or that the size they were giving him wasn't correct (mind you this man didn't measure them himself and he's telling them they are wrong, and even the ones Scott measured he still got wrong anyways). We go to return our rentals, Scott asks to speak with us, and puts the blame on everything else - does not apologize for having important members of the wedding run around, saying it's prom season, claims all tux businesses would have been like this - any other small business or a Men's Warehouse - and he blamed "outside measurements" for the tuxes being ill-fitting which doesn't make sense because those sending measurements in just didn't live in NJ but still in the US. The common denominator is Scott. Rather than apologize and take accountability, he calls my husband and I after we left the shop to confront us about a 1 star review someone in our wedding party left for him - we explained we don't have control over their opinions and their experience. Scott thought it was unfair and he disagreed with the review because everything worked out in the end. Let me say this - things were going to work out with or without Scott - whether that meant going to the warehouse or renting from a completely new place - Scott did not provide a solution here, he just wanted the credit for fixing a problem that should not have been a problem in the first place. The service was unprofessional, argumentative, and overall unpleasant. Believe the reviews that say Scott has anger issues - this was made very apparent when he yelled at us about a review we hadn't left and tells my husband "you're only saying these things because you're with her." "Her" being me, his wife, because I expressed that the 1 star review was not in our control but warranted given this whole experience. No apologies, no accountability - just a man telling us he "did his job" and it was piss poor.

Shweta came to do henna for me, my cousin's and various aunts for my cousin's wedding…read more She showed up perfectly on time, had her own stuff with her that she quickly unpacked, and got to work right away! The little girls were mystified and enameled with the various glitters she had in her case. She was patient and gentle with them as they squirmed around in their seats. She made quick work of their henna so they could return to the party but never once at the consequence of the art or design. My aunts and I had so much fun singing and gossiping as she did our henna. We were so excited for the wedding but her professionalism, detail to art and ability to join in on the fun made the experience an even better time. The henna itself dried within an hour to two and I washed it off in the morning. The color was glorious and darkened over the next two to three days so if you're looking for a darker color, schedule two to three days in advance. She was able to perfectly replicate any design we showed her and also freehand whenever requested. It's been almost a week and my henna is now starting to fade but mostly since I'm back at work and constantly washing my hands - the color remains dark still. Book with Shweta and I promise you will not be disappointed. She charges fairly for the perfection you get.
