Great colorful decor and a pretty outside patio area too. Ample parking which is also always key for me. The owner frequented our table after to make sure everything' was good and we enjoyed it, always love that. Means they genuinely love their place. The place was busy after we got there and had a lot of take out going . We went with a few different dishes. They have plenty of choices for vegetarian and meat eaters. Also have a full bar, beer, wine and cocktails. The vegetable Manchurian was nice and hot in temperature. Nice spice level too. Lots of veggies in the wonderful sauce. Yum. I had the chicken vindaloo which is my go to . Extra hot and served with basmati rice this had a great spicy sauce and plenty of chicken and potatoes in it. Definitely could share it or have another meal . The garlic naan was really good and fluffy and came straight from the tandoor hot. Also had the chicken tikka masala on the table. Mild spice level and good amount of spice and I love the color of everything. Food took awhile to come out but it's worth it. The owner also sent us over a plate of a spongy chick peas flour savory cake off the menu . Super nice ! Fluffy spicy cake . Delicious and so nice of him! I recently tried Red Chillez Indian Cuisine and honestly had a pretty mixed experience overall. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere and the service was decent, but the food did not fully live up to expectations. The Gobi Manchurian was cooked far too crispy to the point where it felt hard and overfried instead of having that perfect balance of crunch and softness inside. The Malai Kofta was another disappointment because the kofta itself had a stretchy texture and tasted like it may not have been freshly made, though I will say the curry surrounding it was actually very flavorful, creamy, and enjoyable with good spice balance. Unfortunately, the naan was extremely dry and lacked the soft, buttery texture you would normally expect from fresh naan at an Indian restaurant. The Paneer Biryani also had an overwhelmingly strong masala flavor that completely dominated the dish and made it difficult to enjoy the other flavors or the paneer itself. Overall, there were a few good elements here and there, especially some of the curry flavors, but the food quality and textures across multiple dishes made the experience feel inconsistent. read more

We moved from the Chicago area a year and a half ago, and had two or three very good Indian restaurants that we loved back there. When we moved to Charlotte I searched Yelp and bookmarked the three or four Indian restaurants that looked most promising. It's taken us a while to make our way up to Red Chillez because it's a little over 40 minutes drive from us, but we're glad we finally did - it's our favorite place that we've found here yet. We got the lamb vindaloo, lamb Rogan Josh, order of naan and rice, onion pakora, and samosas. The lamb was tender, and the flavor was great. The vindaloo was flavorful with a balanced heat, not just kick-your-teeth-in heat with no flavor. Service was friendly. The inside of the restaurant was casual, not a super fancy buildout, but clean and taken care of. We'll definitely be back - worth the drive. read more

I believe I've found my spot! My friend and I have been on the hunt for the best Indian cuisine. We found our No. 1 spot thus far! We were greeted right away, and promptly seated for lunch. Our orders were taken after we reviewed such an array of options! the best yet! We were greeted by the owners during this visit, we had an opportunity to chat with the lovely husband and wife team! Making it very inviting and homey! We were very comfortable in our selected booth, the decor gave good vibes! We settled on Samosa (perfection) as an appetizer; Garlic Nan (delicious); Vegetable Noodle dish (excellent), Saag Chicken paneer(amazing); and butter chicken (also delicious). The waiter was great at explaining the heat levels (Mild, Medium & hot) I chose Medium and my friend chose Mild. We both were satisfied with the choices of heat. Went to Red Chillez for dinner the other day and the food was great! Our server was very welcoming and assisted us in our choices for dinner. I got the butter chicken while my boyfriend got the chicken tikka masala. I am not a spice fan and found the mild to have lots of flavor while my boyfriend prefers spice and enjoyed the flavorful spicy level for his meal. I've had a craving for good Indian food for a while, and on an evening in the area the Yelp reviews led me to Red Chillez. This was a really fantastic choice and I'm happy we came! Ordering, frankly, was challenging because I'm not well aware of the different terminology when it comes to Indian food, I just know that every time I have some it's delicious. I know simple things like the difference in Naan and Roti, or that Tikka Masala is good, but my group really wanted to venture out and try some new things here. Lucky for us, the staff here is fantastic and really helped with some recommendations. We started with an appetizer and some beers - The owner strongly encouraged trying one of the authentic Indian beers which they carry, and so we had the Haywards 5000. For an over 6% ABV beer, it was surprisingly light and smooth drinking, and I really enjoyed it! He tells me that next time I should get the Taj Mahal beer, which I just might. For an appetizer, we got the Samosa and the Chicken Ghee Roast. Let me tell you, both of these were so delicious that I nearly forgot to take pictures. The Samosa was plump with savory filling and a perfectly crisp crust, and the two dipping sauces were good (the green one being a bit spicy, the brown one being sweeter.) The Ghee Roast was recommended by the server, and it was truly fantastic. I could have made a whole meal out of that. We couldn't decide on entrees, so we ended up ordering several to share. We got the Chicken Tikka Masala (for something familiar), the Saag Chicken, and at the recommendation of the staff the Chicken Chettinad. The Tikka Masala and Saag were both delicious, with generous seasoning, rich flavor, and tender chicken. But the real show stopper here was the Chettinad, which was easily the best dish of the night. It was spicy, absolutely packed with flavor, and is 100% the thing I will order again. We also ordered both breads (Butter Roti and Garlic Naan). Both were fantastic but the Roti was a real treat and I would strongly recommend it. One person at the table also wanted the Goat Biryani because he has had it before at a different restaurant and liked it. We asked to make that extra spicy. While they said they could do this, unfortunately it came out with zero spice and was fairly dry and unimpressive. There was also a lot of pieces of bone in the meal which might be traditional but still made it less pleasant to eat. It's the only dish of the night I would avoid next time. There are some small things that could be better overall, but they weren't major enough to knock off a star. Service was much slower than most restaurants, so our dinner took significantly longer than the amount of time we had allotted in our evenings plans. Also, we were told the dishes like Tikka Masala and Saag would come with rice on the side (so we didn't order any), and they ultimately did not. All of the staff were wonderful and I could come back just for them, but I want to be clear that the vast majority of the food was delicious as well. It was a great outing and I'd come again, now armed with a bit more information for the next visit. read more

I always enjoy my experience here! I just wanted to circle back and give them another 5 star review. The service, food and ambiance are always great. This particular time my husband and I visited with our toddler and our toddler was acting crazy because he was super tired. The owner brought him a mango drink to try and help which I thought was so kind. They also opened up the patio they had locked so I could run around with him and then even though we were going to eat in they were gracious about us needing to actually have our food to go so we wouldn't keep disturbing everyone and so we could eat in peace at home. I wanted to visit a new restaurant and found Red Chillez Indian Cuisine in concord would be great for Fathers day celebration, Unfortunately i noticed Slow and Rude Service: Across platforms like customers broadly agree that slow wait times during occasions , inattentive servers, and unprofessional attitudes--such as refusing to refill popular items--are major pain points, my table was full of items with lot of stuff to be removed and nobody came to pick them up, We had to pack them and take home to eat (on getting home nan and curries were cold and did not feel like eathing and we threw them out) spent around $200 gone in drain, I order beer without my permission they opened the beer (Normally they ask us to check if beer is chilled to open or not) but in my case they wanted to charge so they just opened and did not care you drink or throw. Water bottle was kept but it took 30 minutes to get glasses, scotch was brought 20 minutes late without ice, somehow i felt this is not the place i will come again. Some of the food items were not cooked properly and seems like they are expecting to eat anything thats served. The website says free gulab jamoon on spending $25, we spent more that $160 nobody served gulabjamoon should we beg, they should serve it right, they were hardly two waiters to serve and sounded like they were not in good mood to serve. Was pleased to find legit Indian food with a few offerings I hadn't tried before. (Friend picked up the to go order so can't comment on the ambiance here.) For the price the portions were small on a few items (rice, malai kofta). But we definitely found ourselves wanting more! What we ordered: gobi Manchurian - wonderful hakka noodles - hecks yeah coriander lemon soup - love love love but teeny palak paneer- yup malai kofta- not the sauce I expected but still tasty a bit on the small side We were starving so no pics were taken. Updating my review 4/4/26 we've been loyal customers for almost 3 years now. We've placed an online order and for some reason they did not receive the order. The employees notified they've been having issues all day with their system where orders are being placed online, but they're not receiving it. We were advised by 3 (owner included) different people that our order will be made after supporting an email confirmation of the order. After waiting for an hour the owner notified his staff to not make the food and that we need to cancel the order. Mind you if you ever ordered an online order the customer cannot cancel the order. The owner went on to advise that the order was sent to a 3rd party website and we'd have to dispute it with them despite telling us 3 times they'd make our food. After threatening to call the cops they advised they'll make our food because the money came out of our bank account! We will never come back here again! Mind you we've been eating here since 2023!!! Get the VEGETABLE BIRYANI and SPRING ROLLS! Okay, I stumbled upon Red Chillez after discovering my love for Authentic Indian Cuisine. I'm typically a plant eater so I chose the vegetable biryani. It's the Best Vegetable Biryani in this area! Extremely flavorful, with the right amount of heat (it comes medium spiced) plus, they take it a step beyond with the vegetables added (I won't spoil it and tell you how). No other Indian spot is bringing it like this on this particular dish--no one. It's my top recommendation should you choose to dine here. But make no mistake, this kitchen takes pride in every dish, so they are all likely equally amazing. Now, those spring rolls are a gift from heaven. I'd go so far to officially dub them, THE BEST SPRING ROLLS IN THE COUNTRY. They were so good, I don't even have proof (via a picture) to show you, and I'm not sorry about that. Not one bit. It is difficult to perfect a spring roll. Some places nail the crisp crust, but have a mushy mess inside. Others nail the inside, and the crust is just abysmal. Red Chillez has nailed both! A light crispy crust with deliciousness and consistency inside every bite. If spring rolls are your thing, check these out! The service was great and the ambiance is nice! I'd say they do a great job of blending the cultural aspect with a modern touch. The drink menu is extensive as well. Each one has its own pizzazz. Check this place out, whether for dinner or lunch. It's worth mentioning that they stop serving lunch at 2:30 pm daily. They will reopen for dinner at 5:30 pm. I'd lick the bowl clean! The samosas are so tasty and filling, it came with two sauces not sure of the names, but both were good! We're always on top of it even though they were packed on a Wednesday evening Decor isn't anything super special, the ambiance is lively, but wouldn't recommend for date nights if you want privacy or a quiet place. We have been coming here for about 2 years now. Everything we've ever had here has been excellent! I don't know who the chef is, but I hope they never lose him! The chicken chettinad is my favorite, followed by the chicken korma (both have a creamy coconut gravy). My husband loves the chicken hakka noodles and the briyani. This was my second time here, and I went for lunch. I decided to try the Chicken Hakka Noodle dish. It was amazing. It wasn't just "topped" with ingredients, everything was mixed in and very flavorful, you definitely get your moneys worth. I can handle some spice, and I chose the "medium" (which was a solid medium but it made me sweat a little, which is a good thing) but they let you choose your own spice level so don't let that scare you. The garlic naan is also a must every time. The staff were very nice and attentive, and everything in the restaurant was clean and well taken care of. I can't wait to try more dishes here! read more

We ordered Postmates, excited to try a new Indian place. The food was delicious! We got chicken tikka masala (maybe the best I've ever had) and malai kofta (amazing). The samosas were also hot, crispy, and well-filled. Yummy. I loved the sweet chili sauce that came with them. However! I ordered butter naan and butter roti, but only got naan. Another review here says naan is 4 pieces, but we only got 2? Also I ordered spring rolls and didn't get them. My biggest issue was that our food didn't come with rice. I thought maybe (unlike every other Indian place I've been to) they don't serve their food with rice, but seeing the pics here...yeah they do. I would like to eat here in person sometime, but in the meantime I would encourage the restaurant to be more careful with delivery orders.
