Dark. Menus printed in reversed out of black type, low lighting. If you don't have 20-20 youthful vision, forget about it. Six items on menu which don't change. No daily specials. No seafood. I had a "wild boar" & pasta dish which was disgusting -- sticky and greasy. Martini with the bar's vodka was $10. Dinner for two with 20% tip was $91. This place is the best spot for a hangout to watch football games. Their game day specials are well priced aswell.The food is amazing and fills you up.The chef, Adrian Ramirez is very talented and friendly the servers and bar tenders are nice too. Outstanding food and presentation! As a bourbon only drinker I was very impressed w/ the selection offered (Pendleton) to say nothing of the pricing. I stopped by when they were going thru a "shakedown" phase of their opening. Usually an unfair time to review a restaurant given everything that can (and usually does) go wrong. But in this case everything was exceptionally well done. Never had a chance to checkout their impressive wine offerings but will go back again soon ((and guessing) often. Choose the stuffed portobello mushroom rice was still hard and it lacked flavor. The mushroom was my choice because the menu lacked variety. On another visit, I was ignored when I sat at the bar with a friend who was promptly served his martini then the girl who served him simply walked away not even asking me if I wanted something to drink.... How Rude! Then when she did finally come back to ask me if I wanted something to drink she made the statement that so said friend is grumpy if does not get his drink right away.....REALLY is that anyway to react to ignoring a customer??????? Been in restaurant and customer service for over 40 years and have never had such blatant disrespect not to mention poor service. If you are not a regular don't expect too much. Delightful and delicious spot in Mukilteo. Good ingredients and well thought out menu. The chef has always made contact with us when we have been there. It's a bit pricey but we don't mind given the caliber of the food, wine and charming atmosphere. The Mexi-Cali Steak and the Berry Starter Salad are among our favorites. The owners are invested in making this quaint place a hit! Appreciate the attention to detail and customer service. Thanks for a great and reliable date night spot! One of my oldest, dearest friends helps out as a server here because the new owners are personal friends of hers, so she invited me to come hang out while I was in town over the summer. What a fun time! The owners quickly also became "friends," they are so personable and warm. The first time I stopped in, they had only been open under their new ownership for about a week, so the regulars were still trying to assess whether this change would be a good thing...this I know from chatting with the locals. But when I stopped in the next night and many of the same patrons were there again, as well, I knew they had embraced the change and wholeheartedly approved. The service is friendly and attentive, the owners and staff are all so inviting. The atmosphere is one of familiarity and warmth, with a mixed crowd of friendly locals. I felt immediately welcomed into the "family" and I can't wait to stop in again next time I'm in town. Love this place. Great job, new owners and staff!! read more

Best hidden gem and a local hangout with amazing cuisine, outstanding service and interesting, professional and fun clientele. You won't believe your taste buds as the brushetta explodes of flavors and you ask yourself "Did they just pick the tomatoes off the vine and harvested the basil from the garden?" And we are just getting started...the cured salmon will smother your tongue with a light saltiness, a kick of something secret but spicy with a hint of butter while questioning your senses as your mouth asks for more and more of this goodness. Keep in mind we just covered the appetizers page....imagine what the main course will do to you. Chef Moh and the owners Debbie & Sean come up with some amazing specials, the wine is nicely paired and for all you beer connoisseurs, Sean got you covered with local specialties and from the tap of course. Owners Debbie and Shawn (they live in Mukilteo) make you feel welcome in their friendly, warm, inviting, family owned (my wife and I like to support small business owners since we live in Mukilteo) bistro. People dining at the bar and even the tables will strike a conversation with someone nearby. People returning to the Bistro usually stop to have a chat with Debbie and/or Shawn on their way in and perhaps some other friends as well on their way out. Shawn and Debbie frequently circulate among the patrons, sometimes even serving the meals and drinks. The menu has Small Plates, Soup/Salad and Entrees; there is something for everyone whether you want a big meal or just several small items or just a small snack. The food is excellent as is the service. There is usually a daily special or two in addition to the daily deals after 6:00 PM. My wife and I really like the Manila Clams which, in our humble opinion, is better than several other seafood restaurants in the Mukilteo area. There is an extensive wine list to satisfy any taste in wine. They sometimes have specials on the wines. Beer drinkers, not to fret, Shawn has you covered with some draft Georgetown brews, i.e. usually Manny's Pale and something else like the IPA or Pilsner. In addition there are also bottled beers available. You can order a variety of mixed drinks, cocktails and hard stuff. My wife and I will frequently have a glass of Port at the end of the meal. My husband and I love this place. The food is good, and the service is fantastic. The owner and her staff are very personable and welcoming, and so is the chef. They will remember you after you have been there once. It is a small place and is set up for dining, not some meal to be gulped down in a rush. It is very clean and I am confused by the comments in an earlier review regarding that, it was either an off- night. or written by a crabby person. The prices here are very reasonable for what you get and the portions are perfect; there is value here. Cumulatively my husband and I have now tried nearly everything on the menu, and although we certainly have our favorites it is all good. If you are looking for cheap bargain food go do fast-food, but if you are looking for a comfortable warm environment to enjoy some wine, appetizers and/or dinner, and the company of the person/people are you with this is a must-try. We have now eaten there about 7 times or so, and we will be going back. read more
