HH review In short Great design in a very welcoming space. Food might be under-seasoned to some people, but it's very well executed...and you can always add salsa. Great bar program, too. In long Previously, my biggest complaint with coming here was the total lack of parking every time I have tried. They obviously have no trouble getting the crowds in here. Today we scored some free time in the mid-afternoon, and their HH starts at 3:00 every day. We did go off the HH menu for 3 items, which ended up being worth it. You can't help but notice the buildout here. Pretty lights, interesting patterns or murals on almost every wall, lots of cool detail to the finishes everywhere you look. They even have yon selfie wall next to the washrooms (they took down a much bigger one). The bar has a couple flatscreens showing the game, but I'd probably not come here specifically to pay attention to a ballgame. At regular price, we got an awesome plate of chunky guac which I'd put against guac anywhere around here, at least that I've tried. At $15, it was almost a buck a bite, but, man, it was tasty. The bean dip had a great creamy consistency and mixed well with all the other condiments. We also got a muddled fruit cocktail from the regular menu, which was also excellent. The ceviche isn't a huge portion, and not overloaded with shrimp, but, hey, it's HH, and it's super fresh and tasty. The street tacos had awesome grilled flavor on the chicken, and the salsa served with them was fresh and excellent. We got 2 other salsas with our chips; the table salsa is nice but mild on the heat. The habanero salsa was a little too runny to get much on a plain chip, but it had great flavor and kick. Everything tasted really fresh and added plenty of seasoning to whatever was on the table. This is definitely a good place to mash up your salsas and dips and see what you concoct. The street corn was delicious. Such a perfect HH food--easy for the kitchen, but tons of flavor, and they nail the presentation. Corn tasted really sweet and crunchy even though you know they get it frozen. I'd get it again any time. For 3 apps, 2 dips, and 2 cocktails, we were under $90 before tip. Not too bad, especially since we went off the HH menu for stuff. We were invited to a birthday party at Fresa Mexican Kitchen, and it was our first time there such a vibe! The restaurant has very modern décor, and they even have a photo wall near the bathroom and bar area for pictures . Unfortunately, I didn't get photos of our food since there were 24 of us, and the servers were working hard trying to get through the group. Which brings me to the service absolutely phenomenal. With such a large party, there were no mistakes at all, from drink orders to food. Our server did an amazing job keeping everything together with a great attitude and never once seemed frustrated. We arrived in time for happy hour and ordered a blackberry blended margarita and a piña colada both were amazing! For the table, we shared the Bean Dip with Chorizo, which was delicious (especially if you love chorizo). I ordered the Sopes and a Caesar salad. The sopes weren't my favorite (not quite sure why), though the carne asada was very flavorful. The Caesar salad, however, was made to perfection absolutely delicious and hit the spot. My fiancé ordered the Chile Colorado, which he said was perfect and ate every last bite! Just a side note: for large parties, gratuity is added to the bill, which was totally expected. We have been here a few times now and I have to say it is a great place to go on Tuesdays for the drink options. We have not made it past appetizers at this point, but all food has been good. My confusion comes from the atmosphere for the place. I understand the modern feel, but defiantly think it gives more of a cantina or warm home vibes from the staff and hosts. I think this is a great Mexican restaurant in the north north end. I came here with 5 others for dinner and was seated immediately. Service was fast - our waitress was always ready to refill drinks or the complimentary chips/salsa. I ordered the chicken fajitas (w grilled pineapple) and a mango blended margarita. The fajitas were excellent - they came out sizzling and the portion was huge! They also offered homemade habanero salsa which I happily accepted; this gave each taco I made (you get 4 corn tortillas with the fajitas) a solid kick of spice. The margarita was good too. Strong, but good! This place feels very fancy inside. I'm not sure how well it "fits" with the vibe of a traditional Mexican restaurant, but that didn't affect my experience or the quality of the food. I'll be back. read more

Then while eating my salad I bit down on what I assumed was a chicken bone and broke my tooth clean out of my dentures. The waitress got the owner and his only response was to make us only pay for one of the salads. Any other restaurant would have taken my information and written an incident report to cover themselves. read more

Wow! I avoided this place from a previous experience at the former restaurant but man was I wrong. The food was incredible, and I do not take that lightly. The ambience was so chic and clean, it felt like I was on vacation. They have an amazing happy hour- everyday! Totally worth visiting just for the happy hour. I have to mention their two page cocktail menu - they are all spectacular. We did a margarita flight and tried four of their best flavors. For those with food allergies or restrictions, they can accommodate. They even have vegan nachos with homemade vegan cheese sauce. I highly recommend checking this place out. Absolutely my favorite Mexican restaurant around. So many amazing drinks to choose from, including a long list of flavored margaritas. All the food is good, and adding on Queso to our chips and salsa was a hit. I wasn't a big fan of the elote, because like most restaurants the corn ends up a bit soft and soggy, but it was still the best corn I've gotten from similar places. I dropped in with 4 friends for lunch. We were seated within minutes of arriving. The server was very good at asking clarifying questions and specifics for the order. We came here after seeing a TikTok and loved the drinks from the video. The ambiance is super cute inside, they have a flower wall with a neon sign that says margaritas. They have a bar area which is separate from the dining area. We sat in the bar that had booths, high tops and bar seats. The 4 stars is because our service was not the best. Although we were in the bar, multiple people were serving and we had to go out of our way to ask for things like extra napkins. The 4 stars is also due to the shrimp tower. All of the shrimp was phenomenal, we had the bacon wrapped, the Diablo and the other grilled shrimp option. The issue was the HUGE amount of mushrooms. It was a $19 shrimp tower and it was basically all mushrooms and maybe 6 of each type of shrimp. The Diablo was spicy and the best were the bacon wrapped shrimp - absolutely incredible. The drink menu was HUGE!! I could not decide, they have a spread of all the basics with great flavors, their own specialty cocktails and a whole bunch of shooters. My friend had one of the mules that was super good and very tall. I had the pineapple dream, which legit came in a HUGE bowl and had 151, rum, vodka, and Malibu. The drink was strong and definitely got me drunk. They also give you an adult capri sun to go with the leftover drink if you don't finish it!! We also had the chicken taquitos for an appetizer, and they were delicious. Would get without sour cream next time but the salsa that came with it was also delicious. Their chips and salsa were amazing, the salsa was the perfect mix of chunky but also wet and a good amount of spice. My friend and I both had the tacos. The shrimp were good but the carne asada were PHENOMENAL. They were delicious! The rice and beans were good. My friend had two of the fried fish tacos and did not enjoy them. So I would definitely get 4 carne asada. Overall would come again for try another drink and get more tacos!! read more

A group (11) of us dined at Fresa for our daughter's birthday. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Large party reservations can be accommodated in the dining area. An 18% gratuity is added to all tabs of 6+ parties. There were several large parties during our visit. Fresa has an enormous cocktail menu which is why our daughter chose this restaurant. Complimentary chips and salsa can be nibbled on while deciding what to order. My dad, wife and I all slurped on 16oz Dos Equis, Negra Modelo, and Manny's for $4.99 each (hh). Our daughter ordered the Margarita Sampler for $26 while her boyfriend ordered an AMF for $14. My dad ordered The Works Enchilada for $18.99: Two Enchiladas filled with chicken and topped with roja enchilada sauce, grilled bell peppers, onion, mushroom's and cheese. My daughter ordered the Carne Asada Street Tacos (qty 4) for $19 + $3.50 up-charge for Carne Asada. My daughter's boyfriend ordered the Enchilada Rojas for $11.95: Two enchiladas stuffed with ground beef and topped with enchilada sauce and cheese. My wife and I shared an a la carte pork tamale for $6.25. We were both disappointed in our tamale. It was bland and expensive compared to others we have had. My wife and I also shared the Pork Carnitas for $20.99: Mexican Pulled Pork served with guacamole, Pico de gallo, rice, beans and tortillas. We both found this dish quite enjoyable. Fresa acknowledged our daughter's birthday with a complimentary tequila shot. Service was efficient and welcoming. Food prices were fair for the portions (except the tamale). Cocktail prices seemed high to me; however, I'm not a cocktail drinker. Beer prices were standard. read more

I can't believe I haven't discovered this place sooner. It's the best spot to drink during the day or evening up in Everett. They got a huge menu, whether it's food or alcoholic drinks. The cocktail drinks are a must try. The margaritas are strong, one drink got me feeling good. I had the stoplight margarita...it was so refreshing and I couldn't even taste the alcohol. Nice ambience. Not the typical Mexico decor. Food is on point, delicious and ample portions. A little pricey for the drinks so be prepared. We had micheladas and they were delicious. Split a combo with tamale and chimichanga, enough for two and great flavor. Complimentary chips and salsa were great and we added the guacamole which was good. Overall a nice place for some good Mexican eats, a little pricey but what isn't anymore? What a fabulous place to pick your margarita flite. I think my favorite may be the hibiscus one. But with the flite, you don't have to choose. Staff is always nice and helpful. Queso is delicious and the guacamole frescos is superb. All the food was tasty. Definitely a place to try. read more

Tried Fresa for the first time today after driving by it countless times. After trying the chips and salsa first (always the first step in judging a Mexican restaurant), we had high hopes and were ready to order. My kids got the kid's Quesadilla and Beef Enchiladas; both were HUGE portions which came out quickly. They devoured what they could, and had enough for leftovers. My wife and I ordered the four Margaritas sampler, each was 8 ounces and amazing! We tried the Cadillac, Jalapeño Cucumber, Mango and Hibiscus Margaritas. Each one was better than the last. My wife had the Chicken Taquitos and I had the Beef and Cheese Enchilada combo. You can tell they use quality ingredients; after the delicious meal, we were full and satisfied, not bloated like you can sometimes feel if restaurants use too much lard or salt. The ambience was very refreshing and modern, and the wait staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. We snuck away to take a peek at the bar and can't wait to come back by ourselves for a day date to taste their many tequilas. To top it off, our server Patricia was amazing! You might get a little sticker shock when you first see the menu, but the atmosphere, quality, portions and friendly staff make this place totally worth the price. This much needed makeover of La Hacienda is a great addition to the area. I was delighted to find that the changes are more than skin deep. First of all, the restaurant got a whole new look to go with its new name...modern and tasteful. The booths have been painted white and lined with alligator print/textured vinyl. The servers wear all black including vest and tie....very professional. We were warmly greeted the minute we walked in. Right off the bat, we oggled their enormous margarita menu. My husband loved his sweet & tangy margarita and I enjoyed the scratch margarita. They were super accommodating when I asked to have some extra fresh squeezed citrus juices added to the recipe. Despite a substantial happy hour menu, we dove into the dinner menu and it did not disappoint. I had the best camarones a la diabla I've ever had at any Mexican restaurant ever. I could just drink that sauce....so complex and flavorful. My husband enjoyed his meal as well. I don't remember what he ordered because the diabla sauce left such an impression on me. The salsa was so good. They had a large selections on the happy hour menu. We went on a Sunday so happy hour was all day (a bonus). Ordered meatball soup off the regular menu which was delicious and ordered a few dishes off the happy hour menu to share. We ordered the the corn on the cob (yum), fish ceviche (okay), carnitas tacos (a little dry) and for dessert, chimi cheesecake (delicious).
