My boyfriend and I decided to check out Pace Kitchen on a Saturday evening trip to Snohomish and WOW-- were we impressed! I think the best way to describe their food is that you can tell it was all made from scratch. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and overall delectable. We started out with flights of wine, which were reasonably priced at $15 each. Our appetizer, the focaccia, came out quickly, followed by the bolognese and pork belly appetizer. Both mains were incredible. The pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth flavorful, paired with a delicious sauce and brussels sprouts. This restaurant lived up to its reputation. On a busy Friday evening around 5:30, we found a great spot on the patio--be advised that downtown Snohomish parking can be a challenge. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and our server impressed me with their non-alcoholic drink recommendations. Although no Non Alcoholic Chardonnay was available by the glass, they suggested an Non Alcoholic IPA that perfectly mimicked the taste of a real one. The small plates we shared were all excellent, especially the wagyu meatballs. The burrata and rigatoni were also delicious. Wow! after wandering through shops in Snohomish, my friend and I enjoyed a delicious meal at Pace Kitchen: lamb chops, meatballs, Greek salad, grilled broccolini and focaccia bread (amongst several other choices). The staff were attentive and ambiance warm & inviting (bonus - river view). They share space with Randolph Cellars and we each enjoyed a glass of wine. 100% throwing this into the date night rotation! My friend told me about this hidden gem and that's truly what it is. Pace Kitchen is located in Randolph Winery and my husband and I have walked past it many times without knowing it's a full restaurant. Inside, there's a bar area with lots of seating but my favorite part was the outside patio in the back. It overlooks the river and it's so cute. The food was incredible. It's a small menu that rotates every 3 months and I wanted to try everything! We ordered the panzanella, focaccia, and prawn pappardelle off of their spring menu and would order this whole meal again. The focaccia came with a honey butter as well as a balsamic vinegar/olive oil dipping sauce with some herbs. It was perfect with the fresh panzanella salad and the pasta! The pasta was the star of the meal. Pasta was fresh and had the perfect bite. It had roasted corn, a white wine sauce, prawns, and we opted to add burrata for $5 (do this.) Perfection! Craving this again as I'm typing this review. Wine was also great- I got their Sauvignon Blanc and my husband got their rose. Would get both again, and they paired great with our meal. I've been to Pace with my wife about 5 or 6 times now and it's one of her favorites spots. They are known for their wine and tapas. I can't speak to the wine, as I do not imbibe. The food is very good. The menu is relatively small but changes seasonally and always seems to have a little something for everyone. I wish their non-alcoholic drink selection was better but it is a wine bar after all so no hard feelings. Always good pasta dishes with what seems to be homemade pasta. Solid spot. read more

My wife and I had an amazing time at Pace Kitchen last Saturday! We both really liked the laid-back feel of the space, as it was very unassuming. Service was just right, not too pushy, not too distant...makes for a fantastic experience. I can easily say that the bottle of Sauvignon Blanc we shared was the best tasting wine I have had in a long time. It was very refreshing to get something that had a ton of flavor and was still very light to the taste, not to mention it didn't taste like all other store bought wines we seem to stumble on. We had the Focaccia with the add-on of Olives & Peppers, delicious. We also enjoyed the Beets & Burrata plate which was amazing. Saving the best for last, we both feel the Mushroom Risotto was far and away the best we have ever eaten (not ashamed to say we have had our share). There are so many choices along 1st in Snoho anymore, and nobody is working the dive-bar vibe at this point. It's been quite a while since that was the case. Pace is definitely a nice place to relax with a few glasses of wine and snacks or a meal. It's an old warehouse type space--high ceilings, long, narrow single room. Light wooden floors, brick walls. Lots of highboy seating around 4-top tables, a couple couches. When the weather's nice, it looks like their back deck is probably amazing. They can probably get a decent breeze through here when needed, too. All this with some mellow downtempo coming from somewhere makes for a very welcoming place to relax. Seating is first-come, first-sat. There's a short wine list (1 white and 4 reds pouring yesterday). You can pick a flight of 3, and it's complimentary if you take a bottle home. The menu is interesting--focused on classic dishes done well. Not a huge long list of choices, but they all certainly sit right in my wheelhouse. We had a charcuterie plate--2 decent salamis and 3 great cheeses, along with some jam, arugula, toasted bread, and rad raw honey. Honeycomb still sitting in it, in all its peppery-sweet waxy goodness. The Whatcom White with Peppercorn is a crazy good cheese. We also got the bone marrow, which comes with roasted garlic, mushrooms, demiglace, and more toasty bread. This marrow gives just about any place I can think of a run for its marrow money. The crowd filled up pretty quickly in the late afternoon. Couples hanging out, groups of friends, groups of moms, a couple family groups. The owner and his grandson greeted people, while mom and dad and a few others worked the bar. One girl scout and her mom came in to sling cookies. Some people were definitely dressed up a little bit to go out, and it all had a very friendly community watering hole vibe. We tried all the wines; the sauv blanc was a little on the subdued side, as was the tempranillo. The syrah had good flavors and a big body to it, seemed like a good steak wine. The rhone blend and bordeaux blend both had awesome flavor profiles with lighter, more-sippable body to them, and we took home 2 bottles of the bordeaux. I'd really love to come back with more appetite and check out the entrees. The appetizers made it very clear that this kitchen knows what it's doing, and based on the descriptions (and recommendations from friends), I'm sure the full dinners are just great. The service stays right on point throughout--it kinda looks like their whole focus is on being a tasting room, but once you sit down and interact with the staff you know right away that the restaurant service is good. The menu changes frequently so I could tell you about all the amazing things I've eaten there but they might not be on the menu. What I can promise you is you will enjoy whatever you order. Owners are friendly, menu is great (and has seasonal changes) and the ambiance is nice. Try the seasonal ragus or the bone marrow!
