The two things that I value above all else when thinking of this cute pet store is they do NOT sell…read moreany animals and they do NOT sell horribly manufactured labels i.e. Iams, Beneful, Kibbles N' Bits, ect. I absolutely hate supporting breeders and puppy mills. There are thousands of animals that need a home!!! Why are we still putting our money into the absolute madness?! And to sell caged up birds that had their freedom taken away for profit? No thank you!!! The two times I have been, the owner has greeted me upon coming in and has always been courteous and willing to help. My first visit was to browse for a harness and leash for my cat, a lick pad, and some treats. I did have to ask for the cat section but everything was so organized and clean! The second time I brought my cat and came in to get him treats and ear cleaning wipes. The shop from the outside looks small but wow does it have a lot of products! They have treats freshly baked that you can take a look through the glass display. They have these beautiful artisanal leather accessories that are great for yourself or a gift the pet-loving one(s) in your life. They have lots of coats and puffer jackets for the pups, freeze dried options, and raw options.

I love all the kids that work there and the orange cat. I love the fact that the orange kitty sits in the bin with baby chickens.! I purchase everything from there. I depend on this Strutty's location for my horse products, my feed, my hay, my Pelleted bedding for my horse stall. I purchased halters from there and tiedowns, and all sorts of random stuff. I just like to be in there and buy new things. I returned a halter today, and she stomped out of nowhere up from behind me, and accused me of returning two halters, and that , this was a serious problem. She was the person that I returned the first halter too. The rope halter was so damn big it only fit a Clydesdale and she couldn't remember that. Even though we had a five minute conversation about it before I returned it. I returned another halter today because it stretched out instantly, and the knots were not balanced on my ex race horse and made him go crazy. He has a sensitive nose from chain halters. She was so nasty and accused me of returning a second halter. The woman is Vile, Angry, and clearly has a lot of problems. I am not one of them. The rest of the staff is amazing. But I will never go back to that Struttys ever again, because I will never support her paycheck. She should be fired.

A pudgy orange house cat named Dudley was welcoming folks at the door. I saw another long and lean black cat wandering the aisles too. I came for a few treats and a harness for my new pup. I was pleasantly surprised at how competitive their prices are compared to Petco or PetSmart. With a large selection of treats it was difficult to it narrow down but one of the staff helped me choose a few items. Just for giggles I bought a .85 cent chicken foot for my 8lb pup (he devoured it!). I was able to find the perfect harness and at almost $10 less than the big box stores. Strutty's is my new go-to pet store!

During the first daycare experience, everything seemed to go OK, but we were surprised that they didn't seem tired at all upon pickup. At our previous daycares, the dogs would come home ready to rest and relax... definitely wasn't the case this time. Despite the initial daycare experience, we decided to board our dogs here over the New Years holiday as we really needed to have them in a safe place where they would be able to be together and would have daycare during the day. Our dogs seemed to do really well and did come home exhausted after the three day boarding experience and seemed to be in good spirits! The only odd thing was how thirsty the dogs were when they got home - it was like they hadn't drank in days (but this could just be from over excitement). The reason that I chose to remove a star is because they seem to be very disorganized and the front desk woman is a bit rude. Multiple times I was contacted for a missing vaccine or paperwork or this or that and yet they already had it ... just lost it/ misplaced it. Even upon check in, I had to go over the same items (like medication instructions) over and over because the woman checking us in did not listen (and truthfully is pretty rude). Additionally at check out... I was handed a bag full of stuff that wasn't mine. I was glad I checked as some other dog/ owner would've been without their bowls, food, etc. Despite the front desk woman being rude, the rest of the staff and the manager here are all very friendly and work to get things right. One employee that really went above and beyond (and will be the reason we come back is Casey (I hate to say I'm not 100% sure on his name, but I believe that's it). He took extra time to get to know the pups so they felt comfortable going with him, wrote down all the instructions for himself and also took time to speak with my family to ensure we felt comfortable. Overall - a good boarding place but one that has some improvement opportunities in administration.

They took care of my 1.5 year old Catahoula Leopard mix. He is very stubborn and rambunctious. When I picked him up a week later, he was calm and well groomed. Rob Cary also provides obedience and advanced dog training. I will definitely be using them again!
