Nice little shop located in Boerne right off of Main Street. Here they have a little bit of everything, I go for the fish. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and will answer any question you have about the fish and offer guidance on what fish go well with others. My favorite thing when visiting is seeing the owners three dogs (I think they are Pyrenees they are friendly and to tell you the truth are large, then he also has his cat and the cat is chill. I went into the store today for isopods, spring tails, and reptisoil for my bearded dragon. Walked in and was not greeted by anyone. once a young lady appeared, she was rude and spoke to me as if I was bothering her. Was not kind in any capacity . She very clearly did not want to help me at all. Really uninviting and truly disheartening considering all the other really positive reviews. Unfortunately, will not be returning. read more

Absolutely wonderful selection of aquatics with prices that can't be beat without going online and paying shipping for live plants and aquatic life. Cannot say enough wonderful things. It may not look in tip top shape on the outside, but the gentlemen who owns the store is very knowledgeable and answered every question I had about starting a new tank I was unfamiliar with. This is the best little local pet shop. The staff are super nice and friendly, not to mention helpful. They always have what I need!

We used to go to this place all the time but they now have two or three great Pyrenees in there that smell bad and get in the way when you try and walk down the isles. The store used to be clean now it's filthy and smells bad. Aquariums were far less clean Than before. They won't let your dogs in so you can't try anything on them because of their big dumb dogs. Sad to see how downhill it's gone. read more

I stumbled upon this place during a roadtrip. It's a strange pet store, but interesting. Three very large friendly dogs were roaming around inside. There was strong smell of urine due to open cages, so I wish there was better ventilation for the sake of the animals. Pets are allowed as I saw a woman in the shop with her dog. This store had various exotic pets like a tarantula, snakes, and lizards - ones that I don't see often in the pet stores around my city. You are also able to find the cuddly kind as they had four rabbits inside the shop - two female in the front and two male of mixed breeds priced $30. Prices for pets are fair compared to what I am used to. The bag of rabbit food was $10 less than my pet store. read more

This is a nice, quaint little pet shop that has been serving Boerne FOREVER. The sign on the door says "no dogs allowed" because inside the owner has his own dogs and shop cats laying around ready to greet you while you shop. They have a various array of GOOD QUALITY dog and cat food, and are equipped with the knowledge and current on their research of certain brands & ingredients that will be the best for your pet. I'm a reptile gal myself, and they always have a great selection of healthy animals and feeders, as well as the ability to special order whatever you may be looking for. Their fish selection is the same- everything is colorful and healthy, their advice is wonderful and very helpful. It's nice to stroll through and take a look at all the neat things I could buy (if I was that kind of impulse shoppin' gal) while having a conversation with a little brown cat or patting a giant fluffy white dog. The owner will go out of his way for people if they call him as their rushing down Main Street evening traffic to snag a bag of dog food and is always willing to help you out to your car with it. This pet shop has been serving Boerne Tx FOREVER This a great mom and pop shop I have gone there for over 10 years for the fish for my tank They last way longer than any place else i have been and im talking years The last time i got fish someplace else my tank got infected with hock worm Them help me fix the problem and now they are the only place i go Yep im old school But i know what works The owners dogs and cats are very gentle they would never hurt anyone unless sparked to defined mod ( just my thinking But why would i try it ) All the years i have gone there Never a problem Critters know who is a possible threat and who is Not ! All sorts of critters can be found here and they are all well cared for. These are truly "pet" people who CARE! Pets are not an afterthought or just about money, They are the first priority. Great Pet Shop! The owner is always very helpful. He has competitive prices on all his items. He owns two Great Pyrenees dogs in the store and one, the oldest, roams the store. In an earlier post by someone else, they said the owner looks like he is on an LSD trip and the store is wierd. The owner is not wierd at all. That person who posted that is wierd.
